Well, in case you are wondering where Pete is today, he should be receiving his Larry Condren Distinguished Service Award at Notre Dame Alumni LGBTQ Leadership Awards 2019 tonight.

EXTRACT: This award is given to individuals who have demonstrated service to others consistent with the mission and spirit of our organization. Mayor Pete has a long record of service in both the military and public sectors. He has made revitalization of South Bend his priority and has accomplished this through partnering with the university to improve lives of South Bend residents and ND/SMC students alike. He has lived his life authentically as a gay man and the โoutโ mayor of the stateโs fourth largest city. His very success is helping break down barriers for the LGBTQ community.

... keep reading on reddit โกI highly recommend a rewatch or a first watch if it's been awhile. How do you think the movie would be received if released today considering that it addresses themes such as corrupt government, oppression of a minority group, wealth disparity, sexual assault, and religious "values" as a tool of oppression? Many of it's themes wouldn't be touched by the Disney of 2019. I would love to hear folk's thoughts on the film. Disclaimer: The movie is obviously a very Disneyfied version of Victor Hugo's novel, however I hope to keep the discussion focused on the film.
Edit: Not being able to edit an apostrophe out of the title is so painful

My great grandma passed a few years ago but was a pretty big college football fan in the 20s. She went to almost every ND game for a few years and a few Illinois games. It's amazing these stubs have lasted so long so I thought I'd share before the bowl game this weekend. (Added a bonus world's fair ticket at the end)
