Manual says nothing, trying to make sure all my devices are on direct cpu connection as a Xeon has 40 lanes so might as well use them.

I thought Qualcomm only dealt with established companies who already had a track record and who were able to generate huge quantities of stock.

The fact that both of the above handhelds are only being made available to the public via IGG implies that they won't be mass produced on a major scale.

So how are KTR1 and Valhalla handhelds able to gain access to Qualcomm chips - especially as the companies behind them are so unproven?

Does this mean that companies like Anbernic will be able to release Qualcomm powered handhelds if they wanted to?

Why are Qualcomm so highly regarded? Are they really that much more better than companies like RockChip and MediaTek?

I own an HP DC7800P computer based on the Q35 chipset which I am looking to overclock via the method outlined in this post by u/HowDoIMathThough : How I succeeded in overclocking on a motherboard with no overclocking options : overclocking (reddit.com)

I have thoroughly read through the data sheet of the PLL on my MOBO linked here: *CK410 template (dialog-semiconductor.com) , however I have not been able to find which bits are able to control my CPU frequency. Table 1 at the 1st page of the document lists three variables which need to be changed in order to change the CPU frequency (FSc, FSb & FSa), however unlike u/HowDoIMathThough's example, there are no bytes within my PLL which directly control those three variables.

My best guess is that those three variables are given to the PLL chip by the CPU so I need to use the other variables (CLOCKREQ C, CLOCKREQ B, CLOCKREQ A) as substitutes for the CPU provided frequency controls, however I have not had any success in playing around with these variables either.

As some potentially relevant background, my goal here is to push an Intel Q9650 from its original FSB of 333 Mhz to a new FSB of 400 Mhz to go from 3 Ghz to 3.6 Ghz. I know its not a stunning improvement, but a 400 Mhz FSB seems to be the max on my PLL (as well as the max on LGA775 in general) so it will have to do.

I know this is a pretty antiquated/niche way of overclocking, but does anyone here have any ideas what needs to be modified in my PLL to increase the CPU frequency? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Minor Update:

After reading further into how these chips work, I realized I may be able to modify the spread of my FSB via the linked control register (Byte 1, Bit 6) https://imgur.com/BeRrTVn

Essentially what I think is occurring here is that these chips do not generate a 100% precise frequency, so they set a margin of error and a location for the MOE (Either a down-spread or center-spread) and let computer manufacturers c

Been trying to setup NHOS and was coming from HiveOS. I have a few wifi dongles that i wanted to use but don't seem to work when I boot up the system. This specific one is a Netgear wn111v2 which i believe has an Atheros AR9001U-NG chipset. Assuming this one isnt supported is there a list of supported chipsets so I can buy one that will work for sure?

Current PC:

• CPU: i5 4670k, so it's an LGA 1150 socket
• Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45
• Current peripherals: An RX 580
• Desired peripherals: An NVMe SSD through an M.2 to PCIe 3.0x4 card

As per specifications of the CPU socket from wikipedia and intel's site, my CPU supports PCIe 3.0 at either x16/x0/x0, x8/x8/x0, or x8/x4/x4.

I currently have an x16 GPU but it only ever runs on x8 bandwidth, so my first question is

1. Will I be able to use the PCIe 3.0 x4 card alongside the GPU?

and secondly, since my motherboard doesn't explicitly support NVMe,

2. Assuming yes to the first question, will the above setup work?

I'm guessing no, since there's no way to force the PCIe lane to run at x8 instead of x16 - am I correct in this guess?

Just to get our wishlists going, what do you want to see added to Halo Infinite over 343's 10-year plan?

Here's my own list.

• Add in enemies from past Halo titles. The Flood are probably going to show up, given Zeta Halo probably has some imprisoned somewhere. I'd also like to see the Drones (Yanme'e) appear again at some point, as well as the Engineers (Huragoks).

• New vehicles. Again, most of these would be from past Halo titles, but we need the Scarab, Gauss Hog, Mantis, and so forth to appear in Halo Infinite. But this would also be a good opportunity to add vehicles like the Wolverine, Reaver, etc. Sure, some of them might not be suited for the open-world parts of the game due to being slow, but why are they missing from the arsenal?
  To give a suggestion on a new vehicle, what about a Warthog with a Flamethrower? Or maybe a Flamethrower Mantis? We just need something with a fire-breathing weapon!

• More weapons. The lack of the Spartan Laser, DMR, old shotguns, and so forth, needs to be corrected. One in particular that I'd like to see come back is the Needle Rifle from Reach.

• A rematch between Master Chief and >!Atriox!< where Master Chief doesn't win. It should instead end in a draw between the two combatants, with >!Atriox!< simply deciding that he has bigger problems to deal with at the moment (i.e. the Flood).

• The return of Warzone, minus the microtransactions. I'm sure a lot of it would need to be reworked, but I honestly liked Warzone in H5. Just need tone down the air supremacy a bit, but the Shock Rifle could probably help with that already.

• The return of the Prometheans. >!I know they technically got their asses kicked by the Banished, but some of them are surely still around. Warden Eternal, in particular, is probably pissed off at Cortana's death.!<

The point of this list is to get a clearer picture of the probability that your GPU, placed in the first PCIe 16x slot, will block the chipset fan and cause higher temperature that in turn will result in higher RPM and noise. The fan is effectively sucking in warm air from the GPU.

A staggering $385 billion of Chinese debt to other countries has been hidden from the World Bank and IMF thanks to the way the loans are structured, U.S.-based AidData said on Wednesday in its latest version of the Global Chinese Official Finance Dataset. The report also alleges that a major portion of Chinese development financing in Pakistan is composed of expensive loans.

The AidData report claims Beijing has made its overseas development finance nontransparent. It says that China systematically underreports its debt to the World Bank's Debtor Reporting System by lending money to private companies in lower middle income countries by using special purpose vehicles (SPVs), rather than to state institutions.

This makes it difficult for debtors and multilateral lenders to assess the costs and benefits of participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. It also heightens the possibility of debtors falling into debt traps with only one way to climb out: by selling geopolitically important assets to China.

The report further says that due to debt spending by China under the banner of the Belt and Road Initiative, 42 countries now have levels of public debt exposure to China in excess of 10% of GDP. For instance, the China Exim Bank-financed China-Laos railway project, valued at $5.9 billion -- equivalent to roughly one-third of Laos' GDP -- is funded exclusively with hidden debt.

Bradley C. Parks, executive director of AidData at the College of William and Mary, said the World Bank and the IMF are already aware of this problem. He told Nikkei Asia that this new report has quantified the scale of the problem.

"We estimate that an average government is underreporting its actual and potential repayment obligations to China by an amount that is equivalent to 5.8% of its GDP, based on individual underreporting estimates for 165 countries," said Parks, who is also one of the co-authors of the report.

I came across this meme referring to just how many books claim to be “New York Times Best Sellers”, and of course who did I think of, but Audrey Mirabella fuckin’ Roloff incessantly bragging about her her and Jeremy’s stupid marriage advice book being a “New York Times Best Seller”. I started reading some of the comments on that post and TIL: all you need to do to become a New York Times Best Seller, is to sell a certain number of copies within the first few weeks it’s on the market. To secure a spot on the list, authors will just order however many copies (someone estimated 25,000 copies) of their own book and resell them.

There are 2 indications of authors that bought their way onto the New York Times Best Seller list. The first indication is how long the book was on the list. “A Love Letter Life” was on the list for 1 week in April 2019. The other indication is the little dagger symbol you see underneath the author/publisher names. According to The New York Times, the dagger symbol indicates a bulk order, and being that their book was only on the list for 1 week, this was clearly a one time bulk order.

For context: Black Midi asked Fantano during the interview what albums he would give a ten outside of the 2010’s, and Fantano named a few he could think of. I’m aware that there is a bigger list on RateYourMusic or something listing all his tens, but I thought this would just be a fun list to put out to the community.

I have a playlist of 10k songs, 95% of which are also 'liked' with the heart icon. I can't seem to filter on the liked status of songs in the playlis. Having to scroll through and look at 10000 songs for their status, removing all of the unliked songs one by one is the biggest pain.

Is it available to filter via the Spotify API, or have you guys found another way to get rid of unliked songs in your playlists?

• Quick side question: What way do you prefer to split up playlists? my main playlist is full and needs splitting. I was thinking of sorting by BPM/Genre/Language or something along those lines. Is there an easy way to do this? (Can also be via the API)
