As the title says. I want to know what other RvB fans think of the last few seasons and the turns they've taken. Mostly Chorus, but also dipping back into the earlier Freelancer seasons.

I came here looking for similar threads to this one because... I just finished Season 12, and I just feel like I haven't really enjoyed a RvB season since 11, and I haven't felt a real spark in it since Season 9.

I ended up skipping large parts of Season 12 and 13 because none of the character development meshed with me. Every time they tried to develop personalities it just felt like they were making new characters. Maybe that’s because the original characters were a bit simple, somewhat two-dimensional – but that made it all the funnier when they had to handle real-world situations. In Seasons 10-13 I just feel like all the characters were way off. Tucker didn't feel like himself, Grif didn't feel like himself, Church really, really didn't feel like himself, and so many new characters that weren't all that interesting took up so much time I just didn't have interest in watching it. I know that the people doing the writing change from arc to arc in the story, and maybe I’ve become more sensitive to that, but it’s gotten kind of disappointing.

I don't know how to describe it; I recognize the series is still good, but it's transformed so much it doesn't feel like the same show at all. Seasons 1-5 were amazing, unquestionably. Season 6 felt like a total shift, and it was so jarring (and it introduced the now-recurring issue of Church dying) that I've never really acknowledged it. I watched Seasons 1-5 probably 10 times a year the first two years after I found the show, and I've maybe watched Season 6 twice, ever. Seasons 7 and 8 were pretty awesome, Season 9 was half amazing (old Blood Gulch style comedy) and half okay, but not the show I wanted to watch. (I skipped most of the Freelancer action scenes and read summaries to get the story details). Ever since then, it's been so Carolina (AKA "Not Tex") focused and with so much heavy-handed plot that I haven't felt like there was much to enjoy about the series for what it was.

I don't know. If you asked me five years ago what I would do if Red vs Blue ended, I probably would've said I'd throw a fit and sign a dumb online petition to bring it back, or something. Now... I kind of wish they'd come up with a way to end it, if not at Season 9 then at least at Season 10. Just because it's kind of somber to see the show devol

I’m trying to show my girlfriend the story that Burnie told about how he uploaded the first episode or trailer of red vs blue on his work server and it would blink red every time someone downloaded the episode it would blink red. He looked at it after a while and it was just a solid red light. I specifically remember him saying he looking and it was “blink blink blink BLINKKKKKKKKK” I know this isn’t much to go off of but if anyone knows what I’m talking about please let me know!
