I absolutely promise you that if you were forced to live under a single-payer system for a few years and were forced to return to America's current system, you'd riot in the streets. The current health care system benefits only the most avaricious players in that system and those who collude with such players. As American people, you should expect no less from your representatives than for them to acknowledge that our current system is sick and abusive. It is one of the biggest pieces of the cogwork of systemic poverty, and works to keep people mired in poverty, debt, and bankruptcy in a way that is a crude mockery of the American dream.
The fact that only two political outsiders are calling for such a system is an incredibly grim commentary on American politics. I believe that this should be a default policy for the Democrats at bare minimum, and I think we should apply the pressure to make that happen.
Edit* - I want everyone to know that health care in Canada is a monstrous political football, and governments love to piss around with the funding of said health care. That causes some of the stumbling points as well.

It wasn't smart, I know. The only excuse I have would be "I was just curious, you know" but even I know that is just a shitty replacement for what just happened.
I am going to hell on the Express Train for this.
I don't know what I expected. I saw the book in the attic and it looked as generic as every old dusty book that has existed and will exist after it. I remember opening it absentmindedly, before noticing how the names seemed to shift on the pages.
I remember focusing to really see what was going on. The beginnings of the book just had barely visible names crossed out in red while the ending of the book seemed to just have a new entry every couple seconds on a new line in what looked like fresh ink. The crossed names would disappear roughly around the same speed that a new entry appeared. I remember the stupid excitement at the absurdity of it, as I flipped through the book to the index page to see if I could locate my name.
And locate I did. I was closer to the batch of crossed out names than I would like. I don't know what the rationale was, but I think I must have felt that the newer names were pushing the rest of us closer to death. I remember feeling a quick panic of something akin to jealousy or maybe fear, but I don't know...
But the clearest memory is of when I grabbed one of the newer pages and ripped it free from the book.
Then came the ghastly scream.
I don't know where it originated from, but it was loud, explosive and utterly gut-wrenching. The ripped page in my hand crumbled on its own, while I curled up on the floor, reeling from the scream. Barely conscious, I feel a wetness on the hand with the paper and for a brief moment, I believed I had pissed myself. I wish I was right.
When the paper had crumpled in my hand, it began to tear itself and out of the tear came blood. The paper, in effect, bled in my hands while I was writhing on the floor dealing with the audible aftermath of my idiocy.
It took a few minutes before everything calmed down and I came to in a pool of blood that didn't belong to me.
That was just the beginning.
At the moment, I am currently huddled under the trunk of a fallen tree and writing my experiences so far. The Book of Names, as it is now called is laying by my side. My teammates say its best to get it out while it is still fresh. ... keep reading on reddit ➡Now, I’ve seen a lot of people talk about which episode was their favourite and which was their least favourite, but I haven’t seen much about WHY they are those favourites, and that’s what this is for, to prompt discussion. Now before I start this is purely subjective and I’m fine with disagreement. In fact, tell me why in the comments. Now without further ado, here is the list:
18:Shapeshifters: The story of werewolf marines is my least favourite for one key reason. It looks ugly. The animals look fake, and faker than the actual CGI present. Throughout the episode everything about it just felt weird. There are a couple other things, the story isn’t great, the fantastic racism is a bit on the nose, but by the end I was just glad it was over.
17:The Dump: A fun little story, but it’s quick to forget and doesn’t stick out much. The garbage dog thing is cute I guess, but I forgot about it by the next episode.
16:Helping Hand: Gravity, but in 10m. The shock of tearing off an arm is awful but quick to fade. Suffers from the same problem as The Dump. You forget it soon after it’s over.
15:Alternate Histories: Hitler sees various fates at various hands. It’s interesting at first but it veers off into crazy territory a bit too quickly for my liking. Fun concept, fun artstyle, meh execution.
14:Fish Night: A beautiful tale, but like The Dump, easily forgettable. That’s basically it.
13: Sucker of Souls: I completely forgot that one even existed.
12:The Witness: Fun Concept. Fun Execution, Artstyle is pretty good, doesn’t stick out too much except for the twist at the end.
11:Blindspot: A nice little action romp with robot people. Mad Max machines fighting to steal from the government. I don’t know, it doesn’t have any great twists, and the trivialising of death is a point against it in my opinion.
10: Ice Age: I’ll be honest, I skipped it over at first due to the live action, but I watched it for this and I can safely say I don’t regret that decision. The story is fun and has a novel idea, plus the story is cute and the characters play off each other well, but it doesn’t grip me like other stories did.
9: When the Yoghurt took over.: I really like the aesthetic of this. The humour is on point and grips your thoughts right at the start.What can I say, it’s quite fun.
8:Suits: Farmers with mechas. It’s funny, action packed, and the artstyle just compliments it. Grips your heart as you want to know how they make it out.

If you do not have a partner or live with someone who can help you around, how do you cope with the bad vertigo episodes that last for a long time? I know when mine flare up I need my partner to drive me around for about two months until I recover. I can always call him to come get me if I happen to be stranded somewhere. It's also been hard for me to keep a FT job to support myself when flareups put me out of commission for days and sometimes weeks or months at a time. I honestly don't know how I'd survive if not for him and that kind of scares me.
Do you have an "emergency plan" or something like that when things get bad? Call a family member? I want to try and be more independent so I'd like to hear how other people do it.

I literally cannot for the life of me comprehend how people stay at a company for years, let alone decades. I just feel like I’m living in an actual twilight zone episode and people just accept this? I can’t put into words but I just feel absolutely insane and unable to cope with the reality of this world and going to the same place the rest of my life. Even with medication I cannot do this.
The bookmarks on the "bookmarks toolbar" come from one category, while the bookmarks listed in the Bookmarks menu item are another category. The bookmarks from the former can be accessed as a subfolder in the latter, but I don't want that because it makes using them unnecessarily slower.
Furthermore, whenever bookmarking a page, I am always prompted for a location, which should be irrelevant for my use, as I only want one possible location. And finally, when logging into my account on mobile Firefox, they don't all sync, I guess even further reinforcing the idea of sub-categorisation.
Is there an option or a flag of some sort where I can tell my Firefox to just keep one single list of bookmarks, and have that be my list of bookmarks whenever i want to access bookmarks, no matter the context?
