A list of puns related to "List of League of Legends leagues and tournaments"
UPDATE Thanks a ton everyone! A couple of us are headed out but we'll still be checking in. Loved the questions and mix of current players and new players. See you soon!
Hey everyone!
We are Metro Esports League, a free-to-play platform for competitive gaming that focuses on hosting regular tournaments, βfor funβ events, and community streams! While we are planning to include several games, our primary focus right now is League of Legends - this includes prizes for winning teams, events, and regular giveaways.
With us today are three (of four) founders:
/u/lane-jacobs - Lane
/u/jdubl - Jake
/u/MELmagictwinkies - Austin
Currently we are wrapping up our Season 1 and soon to be diving into Season 2! Part of this AMA is for exposure and part of it is to provide information for anyone who is curious, or who is already part of the community and would like to take this time to ask questions that you havenβt been able to before.
Something unique about us that Iβd like to share is weβve created an app that allows you to see your schedule for games, manage a team, register as a free agent, and sign up for events. We have waaaaay more anticipated for the appβs functionality but the newly released version is turning out to be an excellent tool to experience MEL.
Hereβs the boring stuff, but equally important.
We frequently stream games here: https://www.twitch.tv/metroesportsleague
The MEL community is active here: [PM ME FOR DISCORD LINK]

As a bonus, our infamous League of Legends 1v1 tounament on Howling Abyss happens this Saturday 1pm PST [75 CS // First Blood // First Tower]. We've got some crazy one tricks and would love to add some of your challengers to that pool and compete for RP prizes.
Otherwise, we really really really love engaging with our current members, and are excited to answer those tough questions from you guys. Fire away!
EDIT: For anyone wondering, we do have some devoted players here with us responding as well! Shout out to them for swinging by :)

The reason why this is so important to me because I haven't won anything except for a spelling bee in 10th grade.
At the back of my mind, I thought I was a failure at any extracurricular activities and never thought I could win anything. I'm 25 now.
My self esteem has risen so much. I just though I should share this.
Thank you for reading.

Here is a tier list of the tails in league of legends and what I think of their tails as a whole:
https://i.imgur.com/KlQyaLE.png
Some explanations on some positions as follows:
Aurelion Sol: The fact that it's mostly seethrough causes it to lose points to fall out of S tier
Cho'Gath: Would be S tier - but lacks smooth animations and loses points for that
Neeko: Looks tacked onto a human body - lack of flow causes it to lose points
Ahri: Similar to Neeko - and some weird modeling issues causing the tails to appear to extend from random places without a recent skin - has quantity over quality issues.
Nami and Cass: Never personally been a fan of leg replacement type tails
Shyvana and Nidalee: Both lose points for not having their tails all the time
If there is any other position you are confused about, let me know!
of course, a tail tier list like this will be subjective by nature - so I'd love to hear your personal opinion on the various tails of league and which ones you think are the best! Note that this is my first list for league, and as such some things can be moved around and re-positioned.
Thanks for reading my dumb list.

Hi, Dante here. Some of you who are in the UK might have heard of insomnia, it is a gaming festival that is held at the NEC. They have loads of tournaments for various esports games. I was asked to join the winning team of Obnoxious gaming 1 week before the start of the tournament. We practiced everyday and had 3 support mains on our team 2 of which went into other roles (including myself, adc) feel free to ask any questions whether about the experience or anything else. League of Legends Tier List of the Best Champions for Season 9. We have included valuable stats like Win Rate, Ban Rate, and Pick Rate to better help you see how popular some champions are.
We also have "Counters" This will help you pick the right champion when you know what your opponent is going to play.
Then there are "Builds" which take the hassle of figuring out which items you should buy. But we also help you with Runes and Summoner Spells as well.
Depending on what lane/role you play you might be more interested in something a little more specific.

So, Riot Games makes an annual event for League of Legends - the World Championships. As part of this, viewers can predict how the games will go, in what's called 'Pick 'Ems'. Here is an example of Pick 'Ems.
I've been able to create a survey for the Group Stage, as it only required people to rank teams in each group from 1-4, and it was easy to collate the results. If you actually work with data, feel free to judge my methodology; I'm terrible.
However, the bracket stage is going to be far harder to create a survey for - people need to predict the winner of the quarter-finals, then the winner of the semi-finals, then the finals, all at the same time. I could do four separate surveys, one for each day, but that would get different people responding each time. I could also just have everyone predict the semi-finalists, finalists, and grand finalists at once, I guess, but possibly have some skewed results (everyone thinks team X might win the grand finals, but also thinks they'll lose to team Y in quarters.)
Any ideas on how this could be done on Google Forms? What's the most effective way for me to go about this?
Saturday -- Double-Elimination Tournament
Hey guys, Josh here back with another low elo tier list from Blog of Legends. Since there was very positive reception to our last low elo tier list, we've decided to do them more frequently going forward, along with our regular tier lists.
The difference here is that our regular tier lists use data from Plat+ players, but our low elo tier lists use data from Silver players. If you're looking to climb the ladder, these are the picks the multiple sites out there consider to be the strongest. Note that we're not breaking them out by lane like we do in our regular tier list because there's much less data to pull for low elo, so we can't glean quite as many conclusions about the meta as we can from the regular tier lists we evaluate.
In any case, here you go: https://blogoflegends.com/2019/05/10/league-of-legends-patch-9-9-tier-list-low-elo/
Thanks for reading! And, once again, if you're interested in writing about League of Legends we are still accepting applications for new writers! Go to fansided.com/join and apply to make your voice heard today!
Some friend and I have put together a tournament open to players of all skill levels for fun. It is called Rift Gauntlet. The teams are randomly created based on skill levels and roles are decided within the teams. Casters live stream the event and host mvp interviews after the games. It is relaxed and for fun and has been a great time. The games start tonight at 7pm east and will be on a weekly or biweekly schedule after that. Come join us for a great time.
Looking for 4 other players to join me and play in the LoL tournament at the Microsoft Store in Southpoint Mall on 9/16. Entry is free and any skill set is welcome. PM me if you are interested so we can coordinate signups as a team and play!
