A list of puns related to "List of Japanese supercentenarians"
I made these lists based on general consensus, they don't necessarily reflect what I believe. Nor did I include every little thing for either side. Let's get to it.
HARD
Writing system. Three systems: hiragana, katakana and kanji. The three are combined and there 2,000 characters to learn.
It's spoken really fast. Faster than Spanish.
Zero lexical similarity with English or any other Indo-European language. You'll be starting (almost) from the ground-up.
It is an SOV language, English and most European languages are SVO.
It is a Head-final language. That means many sentences with no verb will be backwards to you as well. For example: "Sorry for that" = "That for sorry" (Sore wa Gomen)
Particles, such as "wa". There are 188 of them to be exact. They take some getting used to as they definitely have no English equivalents.
Honorific system, "Keigo". Basically, you have to learn "formal" and "casual" Japanese. You must also be mindful of the hierarchy of whom you are speaking.
Weird "Counter" system.
Verb & Adjective conjugations
Subject is often dropped.
There's a shit-load of homophones.
While pronunciation isn't very hard overall, I wouldn't say it's a total cakewalk. There's a pitch accent, and you occasionally have words like "tsutaerarenakatta." The "R" and "Ts" sounds may trip you up.
4 different types of conditionals (ways to say "if").
There are many dialects.
EASY
Pronunciation is not very hard for the most part. I'd put it around the same level of difficulty as Portugese for an English speaker. Very small set of sounds, most of which are not uncommon.
No Case system
No articles
No plurals
No gendered nouns/adjectives
Not a tonal language
While there are 15 Verb forms, there are technically only two "tenses". Past & present.
Only 2 irregular verbs.
Word order is more flexible than English I believe.
There's more English/Western loan-words than you would expect.
So that's the list(s). Again, I don't necessarily agree with all of these. As a Spanish learner, the gendered words haven't made much of a difference in difficulty for me. I think the weird counting system makes up for the lack of plurals. I'm actually surprised by the number of people who have told me that it being an SOV language wasn't that big of a deal. That's the only thing here that has made me go "Oh, fuck this!". To be fair, I haven't made any real effort at learning Ka

I discussed with members of /r/LearnJapanese if this list would be useful in January 2021. You sent me very valuable opinions and meaningful comments. Based on them, I would like to report to you that I have modified the AI logic of Japanese analysis and that the list has been completely revised. https://learnjapaneseanime.com/anime-recommendations/
Without the advice of the members, this logic and list would not have been complete. Thank you everyone. I hope this list will be useful to learners. Comments are also welcome.
TL;DR: Spent 20 years trying to make progress with this goal. In a matter of months I've found my path and would like to share my story in case anyone else can relate, or dealing with struggles of their own.
I have been interested in studying Japanese since I was about 10 years old. I was the perfect age for the first generation of Pokรฉmon, and was anxious to get the latest scoop on the second generation - western websites at that time were often spotty or inaccurate with their reporting and I lived near a shop that would occasionally get imports from Japan of gen 2 Pokรฉmon cards and other merch. I struggled with learning grammar from the dry textbooks I'd take out from the library but I learned katakana (and eventually hiragana) without much trouble. I was also a fan of Sailor Moon and DBZ so I was enthusiastic to get better.
However, another 20 or so years went by without much progress in Japanese. I had a lot of personal ups and downs in my life including having to drop out of college to support myself with a full time job at Apple retail that was graciously offered to me after a few years working part-time. This work experience allowed me to eventually land much better jobs without having completed college, but didn't really allow me to pursue any of my Japanese goals the way I would have liked. I did however use my work bonus to travel to Japan all by myself at the age of 29 because I wanted to visit, by any means necessary, before I hit 30. I had picked up Genki and a few other books months before I went, but upon returning from this dream vacation I was hit with a bout of depression that stuck with me for years, and with the rising social and political stresses of the US and the eventual COVID crisis which left me feeling hopeless and depressed, it felt impossible to make progress, although I tried many times. I set my studies aside once again.
Things took an interesting turn for me when this past summer my company announced that my entire staff would be working from home permanently (there was previously a planned return to office date in September.) One evening I was struck with the realization that I absolutely needed to make moves and do something with my life, and there was only one passion that has stuck with me since my childhood. Now that I didn't have an hour long commute to return to, I felt more ready than ever.
July 2021: I spent most of July not studying, but investing all my free time into looking for resources to help me a

Hi everyone, it's my first post here, I hope it fits.
It could be a strange question, but do the BD releases of 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 include a booklet that lists the BGM tracksc used in the special features? I suppose this could be the case just for the Japanese versions, but maybe it's included in the international versions as well.
Here's an example I found from a scan of the 3.333 BD release:
https://preview.redd.it/8pdhofl7hv781.png?width=2530&format=png&auto=webp&s=10530b0aae47cb97e2f63d20efd3f7f158aa08e5
I'm asking about these because I'm a fan of the Evangelion soundtracks and I've been working towards collecting all the music I can find, and I found out that in the Special Features of the Rebuilds there is some unreleased music, so I'm looking for official titles to give the tracks. I was already able to find BD rips that includes the Special Features audio, but having official track titles like those would be great.
Some of the tracks for 2.0 especially include unreleased reprises of Kare Kano (an anime show by Anno also composed by Sagisu) and as seen above, some tracks of 3.0 have different titles compared to the commercial OSTs. I'm sure the YT channel S2P: infinity (which posts lots of Shiro Sagisu music) did publish them a while ago, but it seems they have been since deleted. Two tracks still remain, Les Betes (Demo Version) and Ambassadrice Rouge (No Guitar Version).
Huge thanks to anyone that might be able to help me out with this.
I recently noticed that some familiar names voice various cards such as Skeleton Raider being Zoro from One Piece etc. Is there a way to see all the japanese voice actors who voiced a card in the game? When I try to google it I only find stuff about the Shadowverse anime.
Me and my gf are planning a trip around Japan for this summer. Since shes a huge Genshin fan she asked me to include some places that inspired the game she loves so much. Especially Inazuma.
Thank you so much:)

There are a couple links here, so make sure to check them all out.
This is the link to all the pictures of the card for sale/trade, including the timestamp. If you want any more pictures please let me know. http://imgur.com/a/PQgugFO
This is the link to all of the prices for the cards. All are negotiable, and would really like to combine cards together. The regular UR, Holos and Reverse Holos I'm really looking to sell as a lot. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16vkve0MYdNvPgm5tNgiAbxWJWuC51PxmduLNyb5RpBQ/edit?usp=drivesdk
The final link is to my wants list for full art trainers. Really looking for just japanese, but would be willing to look at english and other languages for more expensive full arts. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14f48IuoSEFEAUf498aTX0jnppyErzC-7TBKYTG5pijE/edit?usp=drivesdk
Please link me to anything you think I might be interested in. Let me know if you are looking to trade or sell, and let me know what you want or the price you are looking for. I'm open to looking at anything. Thanks!

... keep reading on reddit โกSince I'm someone determined to share as much Trilogy Trivia as possible, here's a new thing, in the form of the personal pronoun all the characters use. Note I may have missed some instances where the characters change, I didn't check through the entire script, but these are the pronouns used by all the characters generally.
(For those not versed in Japanese, this guide by the great Clyde Mandelin explains pretty much all of it)
I'm currently studying advanced level Korean and so I know a good amount of unsimplified hanja/kanji. I plan on studying Japanese soon and I was wondering if there was a list showing all the simplified Japanese kanji and their unsimplified equivalents?
Thank you!
