Like, is that helpful to the instructor? To bring a list that says βIβd like to be better at alternate picking, and playing by ear..β etc?
Also Iβm just curious how a first lesson is for someoneβs who a little bit more advanced than a total beginner.
How do they judge where weβd start off? Do I just play them everything that I know?
Sorry if this is random I just am curious/want to be prepared!
I'm basing this on a recent comment I made in /r/politics. Help me find more examples. I'll edit to add them.
> Biden is not more electable. When will moderates learn.
Probably when one of your predictions actually comes true.
You said Bernie was popular in 2016. He lost by 4 million votes. So you were wrong there.
You said Progressives would sweep the country in 2018 and flip the red districts. Not a single progressive took back a red district. Not. A. Single. One.
Democrats did flip a lot of districts. Moderate Democrats. So you were wrong there.
In the Senate races, people who ran for M4A lost, despite your proclamations that it was extremely popular and would drive turnout that "establishment" Democrats were ignoring. It didn't help. There was no massive turnout. You were wrong again.
In 2020, you said that Bernie would grow his share of the voter pool. He didn't. He performed below his 2016 numbers. You were wrong again.
In 2020, you said Bernie was going to increase turnout among the youth and independents. He didn't. The youth didn't turn out, and independents didn't go for Bernie more than anyone else. You were wrong again.
In 2020, you said that Bernie has made massive gains with black voters based on some sketchy numbers for the youth AA vote. You were wrong again. He was completely rejected by black voters.
In 2018 and 2020, you said the white working-class voters secretly yearned for socialist policies like m4a. They didn't. They didn't turn out for the multiple progressives who failed to flip red districts, and white working-class voters went for Biden.
For the last 3 years, you guys have claimed that Clinton only won due to outspending Bernie. Biden's campaign was on life support, and Bernie literally spent five times Biden's campaign. But it turns out money doesn't really buy elections. Hell, Bloomberg dumped far more than that, and he got very little for it. You guys were wrong again, and another tired excuse is put to bed.
You guys complained last time that Bernie couldn't get momentum since his best states were later in the primary. Bernie complained, and they got moved to the front. He's still losing, and he's already gone through his best states, so there's nothing to look forward to. You guys were wrong again.
You guys thought you could win with a 30% plurality of the votes on the imbecilic notion that no one would drop out, and support wouldn't consolidate behind the more popular opponents. You were wrong again.

The beautiful part of this is that it takes almost no effort and saves a lot of time. You also never again have to worry about the gift being liked or needed.

Awhile ago, I made a post that collected some commonly forgotten, or "forgotten" rules. Some people honestly forget, and will thank you for keeping them from inadvertently cheating. Some people are just plain cheating. LVO is coming up, and with it you might find yourself playing vs armies you've never played against before, or at least units you've never played against, so I figured now would be a good time to post the complete list, and add more to it, so you can pull it up anytime you're playing vs an army you're not familiar with. I encourage you all to continue coming up with stuff to add; put it in the comments and I'll add it to the main post
Disclaimer: this is not official by any means. This resource is intended only to bring up scenarios in which you should ask to see your opponent's codex and FAQs. Judges at any tournament also have the final say. Raise the issue, point out the wording of the rules, and then accept their ruling; don't point to a random reddit post, be that guy, and get kicked out.
Disclaimer 2: I don't own every codex. If someone suggests an addition, I check what I can online, and on battlescribe, and as long as it seems right, I'll add it; sometimes the suggester gets it wrong in a manner not easy for me to check. Let me know if things are wrong.
Thanks for the gold/silver!

-Heroic interventions work regardless of if you charged or not. HOWEVER, it is NOT like a charge move. You do not get top of fight order priority. And you can only do so if WITHIN 3in, not if 3in would get you within an inch. The distance between bases must be 3in or less.
-Heroic intervention, again, is NOT a charge. Many abilities are procced "when this unit charges, is charged, or makes a heroic intervention". Nowhere does it say if YOU heroic intervention into the unit with said ability. So if you heroically intervene into that BA smash captain, they do NOT get +1 to wound.
-learn your advanced terrain rules. things like woods/craters gives a -2 to charge distance.
-Prepared positions do NOT apply to Titanic (so that's a no on cover for those knights). It DOES however, work for flyers. So that supersonic fighter jet gets cover, but the big tank doesn't, much realism.
-Fight Twice: many armies have a Fight Again Stratagem or ability. Remember, units that CHARGED can only target units they selected as the target of a charge. So even if, as part of their first fight, they consolidate into another unit, they cannot then

1: The Famas, good old french baguette with a bullpup configuration. Pretty bulky and heavy, but can be put into burstfire mode.
2: The Galil, a low weight and low recoil rifle that shoots 5.56Γ45mm NATO or 7.62Γ51mm NATO cartridges, comes with a foldable stock even. Nice.
3: Steyr Aug, a quite lightweight for its size bullpup assault rifle with interchangble barrels. Neat. Also shoots 5.56
4: Heckler and Koch G36, boasting greater durabillity than even the legendary AK-47, it can shoot in mud and underwater, also chambers 5.56 ammo, sometimes you cant beat german precision.
5: The ACR, an assault rifle that boasts great moddability and low recoil, it's said to have the lowest recoil force among all assault rifles, and that's pretty respectable.
6: FN-Scar, its precision and customizability is no match for any other rifle including AK-47. Shoots 5.56 or 7.62 depending on if its in L(light) or H(heavy) configuration.
7: MG-3 or Maschinengewehr 3 is the updated version of the MG-2 which the Germans used in the second world war, it shoots the 7.62 nato round and boasts a fire rate of up to 1150 rounds per minute, thats a lot of rubles per minute!
Not a lot of cheeki guns here, sorry about that Santa. Oh yeah, merry Christmas.
Here's the actual list, for anyone interested

I'm quite interested in how they choose who to partner with, given that they have a very clear understanding of who their audience is, which makes them very appealing to advertisers. I'm aware that crunchyroll has worked with them before, but I would be super grateful if you guys could link me to videos with other sponsors that they've had over the years! It's for a college project on influencer marketing, and since I'm already quite familiar with dnp I chose to use them as my case study. Thanks a lot.
Alright, here are some books that I've liked. Unfortunately a lot of them are young adult, and I probably wouldn't like them anymore, but that's the period of time that I did most of my reading.
Fablehaven, Beyonders, Maximum Ride (though I feel like it's a little too YA for me now), Daniel X (same deal), Slaughterhouse Five (yes, I know, VERY different from the rest), Percy Jackson (obviously, it's basically a rite of passage at this point), Jack Blank, Heir Chronicles (I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES), The Seven Realms series, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Septimus Heap.
I'm also currently reading Shakespeare stuff for my course which I'm really liking, but that's obviously very different.
I'm NOT into romance stories that much at all. I mean, romance can happen, but if it's part of the main attraction then it's not my thing.
You're sorta getting the idea now, I guess? It's just a lot of YA, but I hope it's a decent indication of my likes. I'm probably not looking for YA stuff anymore, despite that being my thing back then.
PS: I've been meaning to start The Hobbit, because I love the movies and love that universe, but once I started it last time I just stopped suddenly and never got back to it. Now I've seemingly lost my copy too!

I really loved this series. Itβs not a perfect list- Iβm not sure how anyone could put 28 Days Later at #100 while Pacific Heights is #93, and since it was released in 2006, there are no movies from the past 13 years on the list- but I still think this is such an interesting and comprehensive list of horror history, especially since the list was organized by the cast, crew, directors, SFX artists, etc. of various famous horror movies. I also love that if we were to do a countdown and discussion, the interviews with those people even serve as a companion piece throughout.
Would anyone be interested? I feel like this would be really fun, but I also donβt want to spam with posts every week if nobody is really into it. Let me know!
Edit: Okay, there seems like there might be some genuine interest in this, so tomorrow Iβll be posting a discussion thread for movie #100 on the list, 28 Days Later. Thatβs a good place to start, anyway, as I feel like a majority of members of this sub will have seen it anyway. Still, if anyone hasnβt seen it yet or wants a refresher, nowβs the time!

It sounds really good and Iβm going to order some stuff. I figure theyβre likely not the only business doing something different to stay afloat. Has anyone come across a list or repository of businesses that are offering things like this?
If not - letβs start it here!
You like Jon Snow, the closest thing to the main character? Well, fuck you. Weβll turn him into an extra whoβs just there to react at things and repeat three lines of dialogue if lucky.
You expected Dany to become the just and beloved ruler she always dreamt to be? Well, fuck you. Weβll turn her into the mad queen without any fucking buildup because FoReShaDoWiNG iS cHArAcTeR dEvElOpMeNT apparently.
You like Arya and her kind and cheerful nature which you'd expect with her being around family again? Well, fuck you. Weβll turn her into a one-dimensional assassin (for several seasons in a row)
You like Sansa and her smart and compassionate nature when she wants to be? Well, fuck you. Weβll turn her into Littlefinger 2.0 and make her ruin everything for everyone because of her petty distrust of Dany while giving her an undeserved victory.
You expected the Three Eyed Raven to have an active role in the Night King's demise? Well, fuck you. Weβll make him useless and have his screentime dedicated to recalling old lines to creep people out and recite his encyclopaedia of wheelchairs.
You like Tyrion and his cunning and witty nature? Well, fuck you. Weβll keep whitewashing him and turn him into a drunken fool who has no useful plans or any soul at all.
You like Jaime and his interesting built up redemption arc? Well, fuck you. He hasnβt changed a bit since Season 1 except now he's a fuck boy.
You expected Cersei to have a painful death after all she has done? Well, fuck you. Weβll give her a Romeo and Juliet death and also humanize her while demonising someone who actually isn't a monster.
You expected Theon to die protecting the Starks? Well, fuck you. Weβll make him die while protecting The Three βIβm not Brandon Stark anymoreβ Eyed Raven instead and make him sacrifice himself for nothing just so he can be forgotten about immediately after the funeral.
You expected Yara to kill Euron? Well, fuck you. Weβll make Jaime Lannister kill him even tho itβs not even his arc.
You expected the Army of the Dead to be a force to be reckoned with? Well, fuck you. Weβll kill them off in Episode 3 and devote three episodes to a mad pregnant woman and her gimpy pirate boy toy while having Dany become Hitler.
You expected a Targaryen restoration? Well, fuck you. We only allowed Jonerys to happen for Jon to have a good cry after killing Dany and go back to brooding but Beyond the Wall this ti
