A list of puns related to "Let the Praises Ring"
When I say « weβll oiled machineΒ Β» which department/agency comes to mind? And are you speaking from experience ? β¦β¦.even better if you list the branch/division.
Full quote:
>"I think he gets a little too much praise, but I like what he's doing," Parish said on Sirius XM NBA radio. "They're giving him all the love like he won three or four championships. Come on now. Win something first, with all the love he's getting. Now granted, don't get me wrong, he's a solid coach, I'll give him that. The love he's getting from the media, you'd think the Celtics won two or three championships. You would think."
>Later Parish added, "That don't mean that you're not great or good just because you never won a championship. That's not what I'm saying. I'm not saying Brad Stevens should not be getting praise for the job that he's done because I feel like he's done an outstanding job. I'm just saying, the amount of praise he's getting, you'd think he won a championship or two. They don't give Steve Kerr that much love. Come on."
I think Parish is lacking perspective. Brad is missing two of his best players while Kerr has arguably the best team ever assembled, yet they are both in the CF.
What are your thoughts on Lord Of The Rings? Is it a good example when comparing good stories to shit ones?
Many critics and audiences are calling this the greatest Marvel film and possibly superhero movie ever made, and seeing how much love Black Panther got this year at the Oscars, is it possible that this could go one step further and achieve even more Oscar glory? That's what happened with Return of the King back in the day, where it basically swept the Oscars, and was rewarded for the masterpiece trilogy as a whole. Could Endgame be the same case?
Iβm working from home, so I am always here to answer the door, but my son has taken to ringing the doorbell whenever he comes home. He has a set of keys, but he says he shouldnβt have to get them out and fuss with the door, when Iβm at home and can let him in. AITA for asking him to just let himself in, rather than making me get up and open the door?
I wasn't really on reddit or any internet community when this game was revealed so I missed the initial discussions and predictions about this game. When I joined it was all hollowing and trolling. While that is fun, considering we will be getting a ton of information in just 6 weeks, we should start genuinely discussing the game again to see how our predictions match what will be shown in 6 weeks at E3/Bandai Namco Next.
So I'll start since I've been reading some European mythologies lately. We know from the Great Rune leaks that the universe heavily draws from Norse and Celtic mythologies, and we definitely saw a lot of that in the leaked trailer.
Of course, this alone doesn't really tell us anything. If someone told you that Bloodborne was based on Gothic/Victorian themes, would you be able to predict the world or story of Bloodborne? Of course not. We dont even know how heavily Elden Ring is based on these myths. Bloodborne turned out to be more Lovecraftian than gothic themes.
That said, some of what we were shown fits so well with certain mythologies. And certain parts of Germanic/Celtic/Norse myths fit very well with Dark Fantasy too.
Cyclical Time: Miyazaki seems to like cyclical themes, judging by the main ending of Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3. He mentioned that Elden Ring is not a literal ring, but a concept, and is more to do with a circle, or something that represents the order of the world. The term circle seems to imply that the nature of the world was cyclical, but it has been interfered with... by someone or something. Now Norse mythology is actually somewhat cyclical. Since Ragnarok is not really the end but a destruction event where the world starts anew. Perhaps Ragnarok has been delayed? Look up at the sky it burns might indicate that an apocalypse event is permanently being prevented.
It kind of fits with Dark Souls themes.
Death Mechanic. One thing we can almost be certain of is there will be a death mechanic, and it will be explained why you come back to life. In pagan Scandanivian beliefs there was a belief in reincarnation but it was usually into a new body. Perhaps people are being reincarnated to the same body due to the shattering of the ring? Not really sure about this one.
Yggrassil. We saw the world tree in the leaked trailer. This tree connects the 9 worlds in Norse mythology. In Elden Ring, it seems these worlds are perhaps build on the roots (and below the roots?) of the tree, or perhaps it connects t

... and also no estus used but it didn't fit into the title.
When you stare into the Abyss Watcher, the Abyss Watcher stares back... so you better get all sexy and naked and drop some sparkling stones for him, or else he won't like you.
For some reason, I can't reliably parry that attack when I play unlocked and go for a back-parry... not only is the visual clue not as clear then, but there were times where my timing was on-point and I still got hit. I'm suspecting that it has to do with the distance you have to the Abyss Watcher, and that the duration of the attack is slightly different, depending on how far away from him you are, enough to mess up the parry timing. Decided I'll figure it out another time.
