A list of puns related to "Left leaning redβblack tree"
I've got a left-leaning red-black binary tree, like so, and I need to figure out an algorithm that would retrieve the data in the below order:
1 6 8 11 13 15 17 22 25 27
What kind of algorithm could I use to do this? I tentatively think that it would work just going down left as far as possible, then take a right if possible, and back up taking no more than one right at a time until the tree is cleared, but is that reasonable?
We talked about this topic today in my algorithms lecture but I was not able to fully grasp the concept. I was hoping someone would be able to clear up my confusion.
I don't have a problem creating a red black BST if I'm given a 2-3 tree to base it off of or if the question tells me what order to insert values in. But, I don't understand how to take the level-order traversal of a red black BST and then find which nodes are red. It would be great if someone could explain the logic behind the answers of the questions below. The answers are correct, but I have no idea how or why. Thanks in advance!
Question 1: Consider the left-leaning red-black BST whose level order traversal is: 51 33 85 28 45 57 91 27 31 35 54 69 88
List the keys in the red nodes (a node is red if the link to its parent is red)
Answer: 28 35 57 88
Question 2: Consider the left leaning red black BST whose level order traversal is: 43 28 76 19 35 70 88 68 71 56 (red links = 70 56)
What is the level order traversal of the red black BST that results after inserting the following sequence of keys: 77 21 48
Answer: 70 43 76 28 56 71 88 21 35 48 68 77 19
Hi all!
I've got a friend who recently shared a link to a page that sells 'Conservative/Republican' apparel. I went to the page and looked at the shirts and roughly 80% (out of 40 shirts) were FJB. There was another shirt that showed just the 'red' states and was implying that the real America was just the red states. I asked my friend why the predominance of shirts were FJB and he replied with "what other way is there to be?"
I was a bit caught off guard by that comment and so I said something like 'is that all Conservatives are about? I don't see anything pro-military, no US flags on any shirts, no seemingly core Republican/Conservative beliefs (e.g. freedom, small government, etc)'
He responded that with the way he felt about the country nowadays the belief that only red states are America holds true, and also said that if someone wants military, other conservative themed shirts they can go elsewhere. This person also had posted some months ago about wanting to split the country into red and blue states.
With all this said, I wonder, how does someone like me, who holds a wide swath of views, compose myself around them? I feel saddened that this person feels that their fellow US citizens in blue leaning states aren't real Americans (likely the map on that one shirt doesn't include my state as being America).
Hello,
This genuinely is not bad faith. I consider myself a Georgist, supporting the end of taxes on productive economic activity, and a shifting of taxation gradually to unearned income via a Land Value Tax, which I believe to be the key solution to the housing affordability crisis and thus ending the cycle of debt-fuelled inflation (I'll elaborate more if you are interested, but that's not really why I'm here).
I'm becoming increasingly fustrated with the UK's political system and I'm reaching out to a number of different groups to try and find where the compromise or middle ground can actually be found.
The left is fractured, full of infighting, indecision, and finger pointing (and I don't just mean Labour here, I mean the left in general). I admired Corbyn's passion and thought some of his policies were good solutions to real problems, but ultimatly he was unable to be the way forward for a variety of reasons that I don't see the point in rehashing here.
The right is united largely under the Conservative party, but I hope you won't dispute that if we are being honest, the current government has some issues when it comes to integrity, leadership, competence, and yes, corruption - both within the party, and between the Conservatives and wider industry.
Starmer is becoming more competent, but Labour is still in civil war.
Johnson is... a clown who's way out of his depth and being steered by others of questionable background and influence in a manner not entirely unlike Trump was. His handwaving of very real issues by ignoring them and harping on about the vaccine program is abhorrent to me, and I would hope is also wearing pretty thin with you if you are honest. Perhaps he is a good PM with a good cabinet but I struggle to see that myself.
Brexit is... well, brexit is brexit. We know it's a mess. We probably disagree on why it's such a mess, or if it was a good idea, or if the whole process was corrupted. That doesn't need rehashing either.
And neither main party seems to have anyone waiting in the wings with competence, so the stage is ripe for someone to connect with the people and deliver a new majority government (that would hopefully end FPTP but that's just me; The UK hasn't had a popular majority government since before WW2).
So if that someone wanted to connect with you, but they were not a Torie, or perhaps even a (small c) conserva

The masses here keep bringing back corrupt politician after corrupt politician.
My friends and family have been without electricity and water the past 4 days. I have been lucky to keep electricity, but no water still. All the bottled water around us has been bought, thats if you're willing to brave the roads.
Colorado City's mayor let out a disgusting Facebook post showing exactly the mentality the worst people of this state have. "No one owes you or (sic) your family anything, nor is it the local government's responsibility to support you during trying times like this,"
What the fuck am I paying for? I understand this if I didnt pay for electricity and water every month, but WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?! I am PAYING FOR A SERVICE! I am not taking a government handout, I am playing capitalism EXACTLY how its supposed to be played!
Ted Cruz has left to Cancun, because that's the best way our elected leader can help his state at this time.
On top of all this, this whole issue has now been politicized as "green energy is what dun it." And so many people are eating it up. "Wind power froze!" "Solar panels are covered in snow!" "This is why we need to reinvest in oil, gas and coal!" How the fuck does every other developed nation with alternative energy do it when a storm blows in? If we invested in these energies, we could actually seperate ourselves from the major grids and power through this, instead of doing it anyway, without a backup plan and looking like complete toddlers who can't take care of themselves.
The storms arnt even that bad! When I was an over the road truck driver there was much worse around the nation and their infrastructure wasn't crumbling and crippled. I understand its unusual, so preparation isn't what it should've been, but damn! The rest of the nation is laughing at us, it makes me angry but I can't even blame them.
Voting is pointless here, I know the other party can be just as corrupt, but fuck, some change would be nice instead of getting butt-fucked when some snow blows into town. At least vote for different republican leaders instead of the same ones that fucked you for years!
No power. No water. Water is on a boil notice but how can I boil it with no power? Also how can I boil water with no water?
Some real third world country vibes here.

There is an enormous tree on my neighbors property that is covered in ivy, leaning a lot, and looks like it is slowly uprooting. It's lean is very much towards our house, fence, AC, gas, and radon mitigation.
If it falls, it will be catastrophic. It would destroy a brand new kitchen, roof, AC, fence, radon system...and so forth. Easily 100,000+ in damages if it falls.
Is my neighbor liable for damages if this tree falls? I've read the neighbor would not be, unless there is clear negligence and that it's known that the tree is failing and that the neighbor has been notified.
What is the proper way to legally notify him about the tree - get an arborist in writing saying the tree poses a risk?
I like my neighbor but I know he's a little cheap (other contractors have mentioned this). I would be willing to try and split the cost of removal so that we don't have a catastrophic event, or death of someone in my family.
Just curious what steps I should be taking here before it becomes a problem.
