A list of puns related to "Kip up"
Sammys smooth AF kip up and Oranges hands in pockets kip up always get a pop from me!
Any others that you love to see!?
I think it would be fun if in the future heβs a super popular guy who excelled at making friends during CoVid and became successful.
I donβt remember seeing him anywhere in the Post CoVid show that I could see.
Thoughts?
I'm currently playing a Ysoki Mechanic, and next session we should hit level 3. I've been enjoying taking advantage of being able to get up from prone as a Swift action, as going prone gives me a much needed boost to my AC. Last session we had a fire fight in a warehouse with lots of cover, and I realized that being small, going prone, and having cover was an insane boost to AC, though obviously limiting in visibility. So I started looking at my options for feats next level... and thats when I discovered Improved Kip-Up.
I want to make sure I'm reading this all correctly before taking the feat, but damn does it look powerful at first glance.
Going prone is a swift action. As a Ysoki, getting up from prone is a swift action. So by default, you can't do both in a single round. But with Improved Kip-Up, it seems like I could Move Action into cover, Standard Action fire my gun, then swift action drop prone behind cover (giving me a +8 to my AC vs ranged attacks). Then the next round I could Reaction stand up, Standard action fire my gun, then swift action go back prone again? All while saving my precious move action in between rounds for changing targets (I'm an Exocortex Mechanic).
I've played Paizo games long enough to know that if something seems too good to be true it usually is, but really the only downside I can see is that I'm prone vs melee (something I could ignore come level 5 with the Fighting Balance feat, which says " While you are prone, you take only a β2 penalty to melee attack rolls and no penalty to AC against melee attacks.")
Am I crazy, or is this a really good, straight forward bonus to AC? Even without cover, being able to go in and out of prone every round would effectively give a +4 to AC vs ranged, so for the cost of one feat it seems super worth it.
(If this is a really simple question, and/or something everybody does all the time, I apologize lol. I'm very new to Starfinder, and am still learning the system and what sort of builds characters should have.)
I'm struggling to learn how to kip up. All the videos say it's super easy but just can't seem to get the hang of it, it's not like I'm not fit I can do a decent amount of push up and pull ups and have learned precison jumps and wall runs with ease does anyone know any good videos or ways to learn kip ups
I donβt care at all about taste, just potency value. I donβt want to sleep, I want to have fun at the amusement park Iβm headed toβ¦Knoebels! π
I'm on the road to a strict muscle up (no kip and no momentum, just from a dead hang) and today I got my first one without using my knees but still a bit of swing. I just love that feeling of unlocking a new move. Did a few more kipping muscle ups and did a few more than I was supposed to and I were pretty tired after that.
Right after my muscle ups, I have rope climbs and with the 3rd set as I came down (pretty tired and with shitty form) I felt how my Levator Scapulae strained. Now I'm sitting with a ice pack and can't turn my head in any direction.
So what I'm trying to say is, never sacrifice your form when your tired, that is how injuries are made. Train safe everyone.
