A list of puns related to "Khullja Sim Sim"
OK
Here's mine: Spiral stairs are an absolute mess IRL and a huge safety hazard. I am glad the Sims team has not added them to the Sims 4.
Everyone's always talking about patch changes, airdrops, hard to find loot, etc, but no one is talking about the REAL conspiracy, that we haven't been playing a hardcore mil sim shooter at all and instead playing a very convoluted box collecting simulation game.
I mean, think about the player motivations in this game, what is everyone striving to achieve? That's right, collecting bigger and bigger containers. Money cases, weapon cases, med cases, THICC cases, its always been all about the boxes! No player is more elated then when finding a box in a marked room or getting a case from a quest. This is clear evidence that this is really a game about people scrounging around in boxes looking for more boxes or items that they can use to acquire better boxes.
When thinking of end game Tarkov, really only one item comes up in conversation, the holy grail of boxes, the Kappa container. When the highest achievement you can earn in a video game is a larger box instead of some trophy or award, you're no longer playing a hardcore fps, you're playing a very aggressive Tupperware sale simulator.
This is the message Nikita doesn't want you to hear, it blows the plastic lid off this whole conspiracy.
Now that I'm thinking about it, this might go deeper than I thought. Is real life just a box collecting simulation as well? People work their whole lives for things like a nice car, a house, and kids. What are those but just a box on wheels, a big box to sleep in, and an organic box to pass your genetic code through time?
It's boxes all the way down people. WAKE UP!
iβm a family game play type of gal and i honestly find the dating process kind of repetitive and boring, so i usually find myself making my sims get married and move in together after 2-3 dates. does anyone else do this?
edit: wow! thanks for the awards! glad to know iβm not alone in my unique sims habits
I love TS4. I play it all the time and I truthfully have no problem handling over my money to EA (bad I know, I canβt help it but I play with mods and cc too so I feel like it evens out), but WHY, and I cannot stress this enough, DO NONE OF THE WOOD SWATCHES MATCH!!!!! I just want to be able to use furniture and items from different packs and not have it look like a colorblind person put it together. Even that would look better than what they have, my husband is colorblind and he could probably do a better job than them tbh
EDIT: wow there are so many things we collectively hate. while weβre at it, I also hate that I canβt reschedule events on the calendar. Like I want to celebrate winter fest but I canβt bc I have an acting gig??? Seems ridiculous
EDIT: Thanks for all your responses! I shouldβve clarified that this game isnβt a true farming sim nor Metroidvania, since I donβt have much experience with either genre. Rather, it feels more like a βmanagement simβ with platforming elements. The review above has been updated and revised based on your discussions!
I don't usually play farming management sim games, but its overall design, presentation, art direction, and story captivated me.
Spiritfarer is a building/management sim with light Metroidvania-style 2D platforming and a heavier focus on narrative and characters. The game involves you, Stella, taking care of spirits, which become your passengers as you travel the seas on a boat for resources to build them a home, cooking food for them, completing their requests, and finally taking them to the Everdoor once they are ready to depart from this world.
Farming Management sims are typically slow-paced and requires grinding just to get that one item required for the next quest. Spiritfarer, however, is generous in giving you resources, you will rarely have any shortage of anything. The game itself feels faster-paced compared to other games like this, you're always going somewhere and getting new items and occasionally new mechanics, and the activities in obtaining said items are fun and unique.
The game also has no difficulty, there is no "lose" or "fail" condition, and nothing bad will happen if you forgot to do something. The platforming is what you expect from a metroidvania, you gain more abilities to access new areas as you progress on your journey. This sometimes requires backtracking, but not excessively. Besides, there's a fast travel system. One of my favourite aspects is the ability to place any building freely on your boat. You can place anything anywhere as long as they don't overlap with another building, practically allowing you to design your own 2D level that becomes bigger as the game progresses. The metroidvania elements also come into play here, navigating around your boat becomes better the more abilities you have, like riding a zipline and gliding.
There is a Co-op mode, though I've never tried it myself. Player 2 becomes the Daffodil the cat and can perform most actions Stella can.
Art direction and presentation is just magical, just about everyone and every location looks pretty. According to the developers, the concept of having a boat that houses spirits and facilities is inspired by the le
... keep reading on reddit β‘Everyone talks about toilet paper being 50 simolians but seeing as sims donβt wipe itβs probably priced that high because itβs a status symbol or something. Kinda like how pineapples were in the Victorian times.
Iβm more concerned about the food. If a plate of Mac and cheese costs 3 simolians and a rocket ship costs 8750 simolians, then in our equivalent that Mac and cheese costs $684000.
Now this says a lot about the sims economy, more specifically the rocket ship and food market. For such pricing to be as it is, the rocket ship market either must be super unethical and sim slave labour must be common or the sims food market is extremely ethical and workers are payed loads of money to source the products. Iβm leaning towards the latter because of the wage from the gardener job. However, if EA release the βchild cobalt minerβ expansion pack consider me disproven.
Edit: ok after some more price comparison I have decided that itβs the other way around. The rocket ship industry has to be extremely unethical. Firstly the majority of the ships are cheaper than even the most basic of starter homes. Keep in mind that in this amazing sim world people can start from nothing and still be able to afford a 20,000 simolian home so the housing market must me very affordable.
Secondly, comparing it to the money held by some of the richest sims itβs far too cheap. If the landgraabs are millionaires in our currency and can still afford like 10 rocket ships something is up. Millionaires in our world are no where near able to buy a single ship.
The price for Mac and cheese in the sims is about the same as in real life. Therefore itβs most likely that the cost of a sim rocket ship in our world would only be a couple thousand. This is backed by the fact that many sims who get payed even a moderate amount can afford a ship.
Therefore itβs likely that the rocket ship market is unethical and you should stop buying rocket ships for your sims in an effort to discourage these practices.

What are your minor annoyances or complaints?
What is the case against The Sims being widely recognized as an RPG? Maybe even a cRPG. It shares so much identical gameplay elements itβs not even funny: character creation, traits, skills, levels, quests, NPCs, dialogue options, locations to visit, party members, base building and survival mechanics, different ways to role-play a character, and, as they say, choices that truly matter.
There is no combat? There is none in Disco Elysium either. Open-endless? People play and value late Bethesda games exactly because of this. No plot? Life and Death sound like a fine plot to me. You hear people say Crusader King games are RPGs all the time.
So what makes us say that Alpha Protocol is the only RPG in the modern setting? Why not The Sims?
I think itβs because there is no feeling of adventure. But iβm I struggle to sharpen this thought. And Iβm not convinced.
So I want your explanations and theories!
