When I was in commercial 90's alt rock radio, we played some punk, (Rollins, Offspring, X) rap, hip hop and art noise, like Sonic Youth...but NO Bikini Kill! Closest we got was Babes in Toyland, Courtney Love and L7, all were on major labels. And I wore clingy baby dolls paired with Docs...boy was I a poseur! On my own time, I listened to Jawbreaker, Big Black, Boys Vs. Girls, really liked a hardcore band called "Cop Shoot Cop."
At 59, though, I'm really interested in all that we (I) missed. Watched "The Punk Singer" twice, am in love with "Rebel Girl" and have experienced some of the health stuff Kathleen Hanna experienced. Bought Bikini Kill tix yesterday.

Do you think Kathleen Hannah will have anything at RF? Her Project the Julie Ruin played 2016, I also saw them at pitchfork a few years back. I think a Bikini Kill reunion at RF would slay

For some reason my last post on this isn't showing up, so I'm gonna try another time. I'm a huge Kathleen Hanna fan, but finding this on Vinyl has eluded me for a long time. Note this is just "Julie Ruin" not "The Julie Ruin" which is Kathleen's new band. Confusing, I know. Thanks for any help finding this one!
