A list of puns related to "Josh Simm"
I mean I know The Llama and the rest of them team had a bad week on Monday....but seriously! You gonna rank Josh Allen ahead of the reigning MVP?!?!
Matt Simms: 15/29 for 197 yards. No TD's, 1 INT, sacked 4 times.
Josh Dobbs: 10/19 for 70 yards. No TD's, 1 INT, sacked 1 time.
Simms had 2 rushes for 11 yards, Dobbs did not register a rushing attempt.
I love Phil. Only those old enough to have lived through the 70's, not to mention the late '60's, can appreciate how great Phil was as a NY Giant Qb. Despite suffering through injuries every year between '79-'83, by 1984 and through 1990, Phil was a champion, often willing his offense to victory.
So when Phil speaks I think you have to listen.
And he says Josh Allen. I find that interesting given that Allen played in a 2d tier division and is notoriously inaccurately.
Paul Dotino, the Giants captive journalist, also advocates for Allen.
What do the college followers, the draft whizzes, on our board have to say about this?
And if Allen is the guy, is he a top 10 pick or could he be there at 12 should a trade down with Buffalo take place?

Pretty much every thread involving Zach includes at least one comment of someone saying no qb has ever started as poorly as Zach. And then someone responds with Peyton Manning or Terry Bradshaw⦠I looked into how many qbs I could find who started their careers with varying degrees of disappointment (even for their time) and were able to turn it around.
Peyton Manning: 28 ints
Terry Bradshaw: so bad no matter the year
Drew brees: 67 passer rating in his 3RD season with LT running for over 1600 yards (5.3 ypc) and catching 100 passes
Matthew stafford: 13/20 td/int ratio
Eli Manning: completed under 50% of his passes
Alex Smith: 1/11 td/int ratio and 50% completion
Drew Bledsoe: under 50% completion
McNabb: under 50% completion
Josh Allen: 10/12 td/int ratio and 52% completion
Aikmen: 20/36 td/int ratio first two seasons
Steve Young: 11/21 td/int ratio first two seasons
Elway: 47% completion and 7/14 td/int ratio
Moon: 13/26 td/int ratio in 3rd season
Jets Great Testaverde: 13/35 td/int in 2nd season
Dan Fouts: under 50% complete first two seasons
Phil Simms: 15/19 td/int ratio and under 50% completion in second season
What did most of these guys have in common? Their teams sucked.
A lot of people are very concerned about his accuracy so I just want to remind people of how incredible Zachβs season was last year no matter the competition. Second highest pff grade by a qb ever. 87.8 completion percentage excluding drops 0-5 yards. An absurd 66% 20+ yards excluding drops (highest of big 5, only Mac Jones was close). Highest big time throw rate and lowest turnover worthy play rate of the big 5. Less screen yards than Lawrence and Mac Jones. Finally, he threw beyond his first read at a higher rate (source), and had a higher pff passing grade under pressure (3rd best in cfb) (source) than Mac Jones.
Edit 1: formatting and Fields had less screen yards
Edit 2: There are a few comments mentioning the different eras of a lot of the qbs, so I just wanted to mention that all of these guys except Peyton were bottom 5 in the league in passer rating. I canβt speak to the relative difficultly of entering the league and having success immediately. But there are examples of guys from the past having success immediately (Unitas, Montana, Marino, Jim Kelly, and Boomer Esiason to name a few).
I agree Zach has look
... keep reading on reddit β‘Bored at work so I decided to write some research points about the top coaches in the league and see if there is anything they share in common as Miami starts to search for their HC*.
For my list I ranked coaches as (you may rank them differently or have someone else, but I think my point holds true):
Belichick served in a series of defensive assistant roles, eventually rising to DC under Parcells for the Giants winning 2 SBβs with Phil Simms. He then goes to Cleveland for a rather lackluster stint as HC, trading Bernie Kosar in his last year.
-Best QB he worked with prior to joining NE was Kosar who he traded. Iβm not giving him much credit for Simms since BB was a defensive coach.
Reid Started in the NFL as an OL coach, then an OL and TE coach, and eventually becoming the QB coach for the Packers working with Brett Farve. They won a SB together in 1996. He soon after gets hired to be the HC for the Eagles.
-Best QB he worked with was Brett Farve who was a top tier QB of his generation.
Harbaugh was primarily a special teams coach on Reidβs staff and then eventually got DB coaching responsibilities as well to bolster his resume. He goes to the Ravens as their new HC.
-No experience with top tier QBs.
Tomlin started as a DB coach in TB with Toby Dungy and was held over on Grudenβs staff. He was the DC for the Vikings for a single season before taking the Steelers job.
-No experience with top QBβs
Payton started his NFL coaching career as the QB coach in Philadelphia in 1997 coaching either Ty Detmer or Bobby Hoying. He then the QB coaching job for the Giants and was promoted to OC the following season where they reached the SB with Kerry Collins as their starting QB. After a few years he was demoted and was eventually hired by Parcells to be the QB coach for Dallas where he worked with a slew of average QBβs. Heβs most remembered for his work lobbying the Cowboys to sign Tony Romo as an UDFA
No experience with top QBβs.
The biggest take away here is that besides Andy Reid, none of the top coaches in todayβs NFL got their job by riding the coattails of a top tier QB. And itβs important to note in Reidβs case that he started as an OL coach which explains his natural instinct for designing new run blocking schemes.
If we try to hire a coach just because theyβve watched film with Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, or any of the other top QBβs we will probably be disappointe

Just a random stat that I find fun :)
Also i left some QBs that filled the role for few games, I only put QBs that played in more than a handful of games (hence Brett Hundley with his 7 games in 2017, and no Luke McCown or Byron Leftwich for us)
Apparently we are just as good at creating good QBs like the Packers in the last 30 years! :)))))

The βI am Vanessa Guillen Actβ was passed on December 15, 2021 as a part of the NDAA. This critical and long overdue reform of Military Justice System came too late for my case of sexual assault by SFC Jeromy Ambrose at Fort Riley, Kanas.
Ambrose had the rank of Sergeant First Class and worked for the Division Headquarters of Fort Riley. Ambrose burglarized our home after watching the house waiting for my husband to leave. On June 8, approximately 6:00pm Ambrose entered our home, beer can in hand, without permission, walked past all 5 of our children, stopping briefly to ask them where their mommy was, and found me in my master bathroom. From there over the next 15 minutes he and attempted to rape me three times.
As horrific as this situation was, what his Chain of Command put me through was by far more damaging. Instead of arresting Ambrose, his direct Chain of Command allowed Ambrose to leave the post that evening to check into a civilian treatment center in Texas.
Military Police Investigators, Criminal Investigation Division and JAG were NOT made aware of this unilateral decision made by his βbossβ. Before I could finish my 11 page witness account, Ambrose began to work the angles of a broken, conflict of interest riddled, Military βJusticeβ System slipping through the first of multiple loopholes.
After my videotaped interview the following day, I was repeatedly reassured that a Special Victims Advocate and the Army Prosecutors would be calling me within days. I was given a poorly photocopied Special Victims pamphlet that described my rights and listed the names and phone numbers of whom to call with questions and concerns. None of the phone number were in service nor the people listed still employed at Fort Riley.
The next time I was contacted about my case was over a month later on July 18 at 10:30pm. It was the Fort Huachuca Military Police calling my husband to make us aware that they had just been contacted by the Fort Riley MPβs informing them that Ambrose had escaped the treatment facility in Texas, had gone AWOL, had made a threat with a weapon against someone at Fort Riley, that as MPs had serious concerns that Ambrose could be on his own way to Arizona to harm me, that he had ditched his phone

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
