A list of puns related to "Jessie Eden"
I have yet to realise what significant role she has on the Shelbyβs and especially on Tommy. Love interest? Or pure political gain? Wondering if you guys can help me out with this. Thoughts?
i post about this too much but Steven knight is such a talented man but his blind spot is writing women. it was great in season 2, then...like Jessie Eden was an irl badass and strong and cunning but somehow fell for Tommyβs tricks? if knight canβt make Eden cool and not just used for sex then damn. I donβt like the whole aspect of every single woman that isnβt related to him having sexual relationships with him. homie is not James Bond. thatβs literally my only complaint though I love this show Iβm holding back on watching the final episode because Iβll miss it :(
After Grace's death, I often got myself thinking about who Thomas would be happier with. I thought on May, that's a character I love and I found her pretty interesting, but it's clear nothing will happen. Then, there's Lizzie, a character that I personally don't like and don't think would be great for Thomas, but bloody hell, Jessie Eden is perfect. Jessie is probably the one who listens Thomas and is listened by him, they've got so much connection and it's good to remember that they danced the same music Grace and Tommy danced in the first season, episode 5. I think they would be great for each other
Do we think we'll ever see May again? It seems like they have closed that chapter for good, but I think Tommy feels more emotional depth with her than with anyone. Chemistry is in the eye of the beholder and a lot of times, it comes down to the talent of the actors, but when Charlotte and Cillian are together, their scenes crackle with sexual tension. I guess they brought her back to make a point about how Tommy has always hated the aristocracy ("you fuckin' people") and will never be one of them, as he says in another scene. But for all her wealth, May is conflicted about being an aristocrat ("I'm not a Lady"). She represents an upper class that has to change with the times or die out. Similarly, even as an MP, Tommy will be back in her aristocratic world (even if it is the Labour Party). I would love to see them meet in the middle. I think that would be a really interesting story to see them become a power couple.
I've always loved how May can muck about in the barns and wear some strange workman's boots and isn't afraid to walk the canal or handle a gun, and how kind she is to people like Curly. To me, she is a FAR more interesting character than Jessie. In the barn, she wasn't making a class judgment when she said she'd wished Tommy would change--she was speaking as a former lover. She came to see if death and loss had humanized him, which it hadn't, so she could let him go, once and for all. He has a chip on his shoulder about class but she "gets" him ("You bite like your horse"). She challenges Tommy, and doesn't tell him what he wants to hear ("the gin is too sweet"). He is playful with her, and they have a witty banter. And I think Tommy has always had feelings for her. When she pulled up from the mist in the barge, the close-up of his face beneath his cap said it all. When they were arguing in the barn, he looked more emotional, hurt and vulnerable than he has since Grace. I always feel like the writers always come short of truly developing their relationship, but I think it's one of the most interesting ones on the show.
Now, on to May's polar opposite: Jessie. She represents the working class and views someone like May as the enemy. But I don't for ONE SECOND buy her relationship with Tommy. For one thing, I don't feel any real sexual tension there. He's playing her and she's playing him. But if it's going to turn romantic and be about Tommy wanting to be a better man and join the revolution and she's just Grace.2---ugh. It's much mor

Just watched it again and βWe did some research...β is removed from the shot.
Why? I liked that little laugh she does and feature.
She was in the final scene of the last series (as well as main character) but I donβt recall her being mentioned so far.
What happened to her? Is she coming back?
By the way, I havenβt seen the latest episode but Iβm open for spoilers if thereβs any about Eden.
What was the purpose of Linda telling the ladies about the strike and encouraging them to participate? When John tells Tommy about the strike he asks John if Linda was with them and deduces (correctly) it was her idea and says that she's a smart woman. What was the purpose of that? Also it sounds like she's friends with Jessie Eden and was wondering if there was a possible connection with the reds and an information for Father Hughes?
I couldn't find a video of either scene so I just posted one of the song.
https://youtu.be/68gCwBy4ElA
Grace sings this in he very first episode when she's got the whole pub singing with her. At least until Tommy comes in and everyone gets quiet.
Then in season 4 Episode 5 when Tommy and Jessie are eating in the stables and Curly brings them a phonograph. Tom puts on the same song and they dance to it.
I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or anything else similar through the series.
Hello /r/JessieJ fans.
Just dropping by to let you know about a competition I have spotted.
If you fancy winning two tickets to see Jessie J perform at Eden Sessions in the U.K. you might want to take a look at the facebook page My Community Rights
They are running a competition to win two tickets, you just need to do the usual of liking their page and filling in the competition form.
Good luck ^_^
Iβm at season 4 episode 5 right now. And Iβm just wondering if this show is ever gonna introduce a woman that doesnβt fall for Tommy as quickly and has a little bit more self-respect? I just want a strong female character that doesnβt allow herself to be seduced so easily by this man. I thought it was gonna be Jessie Eden, but even she fell under his spell. Perhaps itβs just her playing him to get what she wants but I donβt care. For once I want a character that has amazing chemistry with him but is able to say βno.β
Hello and welcome to the latest Nugu Roundup!
What is this?: This is a bi-weekly feature designed to highlight the unknown/underappreciated groups and soloists working hard in the Kpop world that often fall under the radar. Please share your own information, favorite performance videos, fanmeet stories, or anything else relevant below!
In the last regularly scheduled roundup we got to know the international girl group Secret Number. The Third Annual Kpop Nugu Awards were also recently completed, results are here if you missed them. This week let's check out one of my favorite new groups of 2021, let's play with TRI.BE!
Look at the first comment below for the winner of the 41st album giveaway plus details on this roundup's album up for grabs! Also look the other comment below this to join in the Special Game to win your choice of a selection of super-special signed albums!
What is Nugu?: While in Korean it literally means 'Who' in the broader Kpop context it refers to groups that are generally unknown amongst the greater public. It doesn't have to mean they're extremely new, though it can, and there are of course varying degrees of 'unknown' which some groups having very strong niche fandoms and others being almost invisible. I take a fairly broad view and will include groups that may be known to some, but who don't have widespread name recognition.
Let's get on with the show...

TRI.BE
Who are they?: A seven member multi-national girl group under TR Entertainment and Mellow Entertainment. Previously known as Lion Girls and TRI.ANGLE pre-debut, their official name TRI.BE is a combination of "Triangle" which in their lore is the most perfect shape and a symbol of perfection and "Be" as in exist, meaning "Perfect Existence". The group features members from Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Their fandom name is "TRUE" for "TRI.BE With Us Forever"
Company: TR Entertainment is a new agency founded by legendary producer Shinsadong Tiger in conjunction with Universal Music Korea. Mellow Entertainment is primarily a management company and has worked with a number of JYP groups such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, and 2AM/2PM in the past.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Her and Tommy are very similar and different. She used her manic pixie persona to both charm, allure and weaken Thomas. She had her own objectives and insulted Thomas like heβd done to many of his enemies/unliked persons. She knew exactly where to hit Tommy a like Tommy to his enemies.
She used seduction as a strategy, Tommy used that with Jessie Eden. She subtly grabbed information, took risks despite knowing she couldβve been killed or hurt in an instant, especially due to her physical weakness. She was almost choked to death, when she suggested Tommy didnβt love Grace, due to his ability to resume with business after her death (last scene of season 3 episode 3), it reminded me of when Tommy first visited the IRA, and was told to stop, but continued, smiling when a gun was pointed to his head (season 2 episode 1). They both played with fire.
The man who was waiting for Tatiana in Vienna was probably someone to feel sorry for, but Tommyβs insult stunk of jealousy (season 3 episode 6).
It reminded of the time where Tommy used Grace (the horse) to hint that he and Grace had resumed or were on the brink of rekindling, their relationship to Inspector Campbell (last scene of season 2 episode 5). This displayed further evidence to Inspector Campbell, both him (Tommy) and Grace were in-love thus confirming Inspector Campbellβs fears, from the time Grace claimed (I think) sheβd grown fond of Tommy (season 1 episode 5).In fact, Tatiana used Grace to taunt Tommy, like he did with Inspector Campbell a lot.
Before Grace died, she claimed the necklace Tommy gave Grace was cursed by gypsy,
>βNothing on earth [wouldβve made her] wear itβ (season 3 episode 2).
Reminded me of the scene where Tommy rhetorically asked Inspector Campbell,
>βWhy [he wouldnβt want] to shake the hand of a man of didnβt fight for he country?β (season 1 episode 2).
Racism and cowardice were used to make their frenemies feel lower, for a slight moment leaving them vulnerable.
Before the disrespectful comment about the blue sapphire, she asked whether Tommy wanted to have sex with her, she was straight forward with her proposition a like Tommy is. Compared to the scene when Tommy asked May, whether she wanted to, βfuck himβ¦β(season 2 episode 4).
She understood the rules of the game that her body was useful to achieve long term means, (season 3 episode 4),
>βbrothers gave sisters, aunts gave unclesβ¦When there are no rules woman take chargeβ.
She understood the dynamics o

BamBOO!
The fued with Luca Changaretta and the fight scene in Artillery square only lasted like 15 mins of episode time. Anyone feel like the whole fight deserved a full length episode given the circumstances? It's weird that the episode is also broken up into Polly and Gold camping and Jessie Eden and Tommy having dinner. It's a very jarring episode in terms of pacing and storytelling.

Let me know what you guys thought of this season
>!Boom. That is how you make a return to a series! This season really just blew me away. Especially with the updates to the sims since I have been gone, it made everything a whole lot more interesting. I was honestly on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was extremely invested. First of all, Arthur absolutely hurt my soul with that immunity necklace. He almost went home the previous tribal so it was good that he won because he would've gone home. I even said out loud, "Well that's good. He was definitely getting voted out if he didn't win." It's unfortunate but it's too late now. Next, Clint really ran the season. He was always out, guns blazing (no pun intended), making whatever move possible. And I respect the crap out of him for it. But once he was voted out, the next front-runner was definitely Erik. He started with a quiet relaxed game and slowly got better once the merge came. And with Clint being an insane threat, he could win challenges with not really anyone batting an eye. But when Clint was voted out, people started to notice him. And he STILL outsmarted them making it to FTC. In the end, we had
