Let’s not pretend that Jake the Snake as interesting a wrestler as Abdullah the butcher. That’s craziness. Abdullah the butcher deserves far more credit than he receives. Sure, he was a total gimmick. But as was Jake the snake. He had a stupid snake for pete sake. Sure, he was just a dude from down south who enjoyed barbecue. But he’s the butcher! So bbq makes sense. Let’s put some more respect on Abdullah the butcher’s name. Jake the snake...forget about it!

AEW's first press conference was on January 8th, 2019. As AEW is now 3 years in since their very first event, a lot of talent is up for contract renewal, as a lot of names were signed to 3 year contracts (or 3 years plus options in the case of The Elite & Chris Jericho).

Looking back at who has performed for AEW 2019, I was curious who potentially could be leaving, so using CageMatch I did my best to get all the talent for AEW that appeared for them in 2019, as well as their first on screen date. They may have been announced beforehand on twitter or somewhere else, but to make it easy without needing to do tons of research, I've kept it to their first on screen date.

I absolutely despise the “Jake from State Farm” commercials. The original commercial, from 2011, was good for a light chuckle. It was an actually funny commercial that didn’t come out during the super bowl, so it was a pretty big deal. The ad was replayed over and over again, from 2011 up until recently. I guess replaying a tired old commercial finally got to the geniuses at State Farm marketing team, so they decided on a more artificial installment: a whole series of commercials involving Jake from State Farm. This wouldn’t be as painful if the commercials were at least their own thing. The whole joke in the series of State Farm commercials is that Jake from State Farm is Jake from State Farm, which is starkly similar to other commercials insurance companies do (like Progressive and Geico). It seems like a little bit of creativity is too much to ask from these bozos.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

CZARFACE and The Doppelgangaz are both rap groups with deep catalogues to sort through; CZARFACE wear their MF DOOM influences on their sleeve, while The Doppelgangaz draw from jazzier roots. Rapsody, meanwhile, is a killer MC who comes through with some great conceptual songs on Laila’s Wisdom. If you’re looking for a fun, pop-centric listen, The Stimulus Package, Pilot Talk 1, and Vacation in Hell are all great places to start. And Rest In Peace, Mac Miller and Capital STEEZ. Faces is my favorite work by Mac, and if you like 1999 by his friend Joey Bada$$, you’ll love Capital STEEZ’s Amerikkkan Korruption.

“While the news of a very successful looting spree is always welcome, I’m trying to bend my mind around the fact that there’s an advanced cloning facility on that ship.”

“Yea, that’s going to need a delicate touch. There’re hundreds of her clones in there and we’re not sure if they’re all mental copies of her for her consciousness to inhabit, or if her consciousness takes the memories with it and they’re all blank slates.”

“And Franklin can’t figure that out because his medical degree is currently written in crayon and he’s busy making sure she doesn’t wake up and start fighting all over again.” Agenda’s tone is very tightly controlled. She’s either furious or trying desperately not to break out in laughter.

Apparently there’s a small cult about uploaded minds and things like that The Church of the Digital Soul. We’ve set up communications with this ship and they’re eating through the protections and giving us more and more access. For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
