A list of puns related to "Introverted Boss"
A few hiccups happened yesterday, which were out of my control (and I explained to my boss in great detail w/ screenshots and email threads too), but he still said they'd "let [me] go if there's no further improvement"
I'm a shy person by nature, but I really pushed myself to be more outgoing in this role. I help with planning staff activities, I tell the occasional joke and hop on meetings and calls where necessary. I do my best with all the admin duties I'm assigned.
Some stuff came up and I was advised that a few important tasks had slipped through the cracks. I'm thinking nothing major. However, it took roughly a day to fix. My manager was having none of it - Even though I presented proof that this was outside of my control. He set up a meeting for today.
It was awful. He constantly compared me to other team members who are "better off with the tasks their assigned", and he doesn't understand why I'm struggling to keep up. I explained that my tasks (though fewer) take up significant more time than my teammates. And that some tasks that I had been bashed for not doing, were never assigned to me.
All in all, everything I had spent the last few months working on and perfecting was shat on with some of the most personal, hard hitting feedback I've ever gotten.
I literally shared a post about quitting yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/rxus2y/persons_who_quit_what_motivated_you_to_do_it/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Now I'm convinced that this was my personal last straw. I don't know what to do, besides get some extra hours done over the weekend and hope for the best.
So I remember when this first came out there were a lot of criticisms, so much so that they actually refilmed episodes? (Correct me if I'm wrong please) Did it get better after that?
I've put off watching this for a while but I'm running out of romcoms haha so is it worth watching?
Hi, everyone!
I was wondering if there are any violent/dark/triggering scenes in My Introverted Boss. It was recommended to me, but I'm a total coward when it comes to bl00d/g0re. XD
For reference, I just finished Start-Up and Search: WWW, and I did skip the portions of Start-Up which discussed the >!suicide!<. However, I was overall comfortable with the content and I loved both shows.
Thanks!
So I've been wanting to try my luck again with Kdramas. Some Kdramas I've liked in the past is Kingdom, Train To Busan, and #Alive was good.
I loved the main character, he was very relatable, and his love interest was funny and cute. But the 1st scene of the 1st episode, pretty much killed it for me. So I'm not going to finish the rest of it.
So can someone give me up to 5 recommendations with these requirements:
I know this might be a impossible find, because I'm being picky. So if you can't get all the requirements on the list, that is fine. I'm at my witts end and just want to watch something. Been asking my partner for some help and they don't know either, LOL.
UPDATE: "High Society" on Netflix was very good. And thank you everyone. I have now compiled a nice list.
I am watching Introverted Boss and I have to say I have been been so annoyed by a FL before. EVER!!!! Multiple times,, I have hated ML's and dropped shows because of them. It has to be the first time when I am thinking of dropping a drama cause of FL.
For some one who herself is shy and has social anxiety (not to ML's level though), I am feeling anxious seeing FL being all pushy and having no sense of personal space.
And what kind of employees does Brain even hire? I mean the level of unprofessionalism is appalling.
I mean they should be happy that with their attitude they still have a job, instead bitching about the boss. I get it, he is not a competent boss, but least you can do as an employee is to come at TIME!!
Also, no one seems to have any regards for hierarchy and work culture!! My job experience is limited till pretty liberal MNC but when their I can't take calls in front of my boss without excusing myself. These guys are >!leaving(without telling the CEO), coming, eating whenever however they want. Their workplace is more like a playground.!< For a boss who is supposed to be >!power abusive monster, he sure is super linient with them.!<They should try working for my Manager :D
Also, I am not feeling any chemistry between the leads yet. I mean I am shipping CEO >!with her dead secretary!!!! How did it turn out that way :| !< They seem more plausible and realistic with each other. They sure do share some chemistry as well.
I hope along with ML, FL shows some character growth as well.
I totally hate the father. I had been in his shoes once. Stuttering and panicked on stage. His dad and others making fun of him like that is making me super uncomfortable.
Edit: On episode 6. Can she leave him alone for time!! Ughhhh I hate it. He got humiliated in front of his staff. Please give me some time!!!
P.S: I totally love the CEO snooping around on everyone in his black robes :P creepy but hilarious. Also don't blame FL calling him psychopath, he totally gives Hannibal vibes :D
/Rant Over!!!!
So at the end of the Episode 9 this was shown https://i.imgur.com/srnzZyI.png but there wasnt a scene like that in the episode/show
am i watching a cut version or why is that image shown at the end of ep9 ?
So I started watching Introverted Boss a while back, but I stopped cause I was sick of everyone in the show acting like introverts have some kind of disease and misunderstanding everything the male lead did. Also, the revenge motivation kinda put me off. Would you say itβs worth finishing?
i really tried to watched this, but i stopped watching after about ep 3? I don't particularly like the acting of the ML and i feel that the Main Couple doesn't have spark. i downloaded this because i saw it has a high score on many series reviews, i somewhat got curious about the plot because it seemed interesting, but was disappointed in it.
I would also really appreciate if you guys could recommend a book or any material in that aspect (how to be an effective leader if you have anxiety issues?). Thank you.

I really mean it.
[MINOR SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 1-4 OF INTROVERTED BOSS]
It's such a shame because everything else in the show - the lead character of Hwan Gi, the comedy, the storyline, the character relationships, the mystery element, the supporting cast (many of whom starred in Another Oh Hae Young) are great!
But Ro Woon is like dumping a bowl of maggots over a freshly picked basket of apples.
Chae Ro Woon is ridiculously self-centered, always with an "I'm right you're wrong" opinion and she's incredibly harsh to the shy and socially anxious Eun Hwan Gi (aka the Introverted Boss).
She never gives anyone a chance to explain themselves and is frustratingly invasive.
Ep.1 - Ro Woon breaks into Hwan Gi's office in the first episode and roots through all his stuff.
Also Ep.1 - A new potential friend of hers ends up in hospital but wants to stay quiet about what has happened to her - yet Ro Woon talks to the press and loses her "friend" her job (until Hwan Gi helps her get one back).
Ep.3 - She walks out on her job in the middle of the workday to go to a meeting with Woo Il even though that isn't part of her job, and when Hwan Gi tells her to get back (actually just trying to help her) she gets mad at him. Ro Woon should feel lucky not to get fired for that.
Ep.3 & 4 - Continues to root through Hwan Gi's personal stuff in his own home/office.
Ep.4 - Hwan Gi is about to give a speech to his team (something we know is very tough for him to do) and she just walks out to take a phone call before he can say anything.
Also Ep.4 - Ro Woon takes revenge on Hwan Gi by forcing him into giving a huge presentation, stealing this oppounity from the working mom who was so excited to do the presentation.
And consistently belittles the man just for being nervous around people (calls him a psychopath because he owns knives ffs).
AND her unwillingness to accept responsibilty for anything.
They need to rectify this and fix the character ASAP. Otherwise tvN is looking at another Entourage scenario. The ratings have already fallen from a modest 3% for the premiere to 1.8% by episode 4 and I'm not confused in the slightest as to why.
EDIT (FURTHER OPINION):
From all the information we've been given about Hwan Gi, there's nothing bad about him. He's nice but nervous. He tried to help Ro Woon's sister, and he's tries to help his employees. He is even forgiving of Woo Il who I think is a much better opponent to Hwan Gi's personality and I like that develop
... keep reading on reddit β‘It's from the same PD as Another Oh Hae Young and same writer as Marriage, Not Dating!
Also, I gotta ask, anyone else shipping Hwan Gi (the boss) with his secretary more so far?
Just read that Chief Kim will be running for 20 episodes instead of the initially reported 16. No surprise since it's so popular and as a comedy would be very easy to extend.
The original 16 was never a confirmed number which is why this isn't technically an extension. The same thing has happened before, like with Goodbye Mr Black and Second to Last Love last year, originally reported for 16 but going on to produce 20.
Also, apparently Missing 9 is going for only 16 episodes which - if you've been watching - is much better than 20 because they are cycling through this plot at a very speedy pace.
And Introverted Boss is running for only 14. With the criticism it received before the rewrites took place and the lower-than-anticipated ratings, I'm not surprised but I'm sure tvN are disappointed. Presumably the regrouping also impacted this.
EDIT: I should say that Introverted Boss' episode count is in flux right now and there's been no confirmation unlike the others. But it will most likely be less than the original 20 episodes (don't hate me if I'm wrong! I like the show, I want it to go for longer).
I posted a while back that Introverted Boss' order has reportedly been reduced from 20 to 14, but that I wasn't sure if this was the final number (although an episode reduction seemed likely).
The Liar and His Lover - a new tvN romcom starring Lee Hyun Woo and Red Velvet's Joy - has been confirmed to start airing March 20th with Introverted Boss concluding the week before on March 14th.
This means Introverted Boss will run for two more weeks following this week, totalling 16 episodes.

[NO SPOILERS]
When I heard that Introverted Boss was taking a week off to "rewrite and regroup", it made me want to stick around to see if they could improve on the very frustrating first 4 episodes. I can say that it seems they have learnt from their mistakes. It's still early days, but episodes 5 and 6 were promising.
Ro Woon is now a LOT less irritating and actually quite likeable. She's more understanding of Hwan Gi and acknowledges her mistakes instead of thinking she's right all the time like before.
The plot specifically focused on the team getting away together and getting rid of their fear/hatred of Hwan Gi.
It was funny, the characters didn't annoy me as they weren't ganging up on Hwan Gi anymore, and now we know what happened in the past with Ro Woon's sister so there's that unnecessary mystery cleared up.
It's nice to see that they really did take note of audience complaints, and although the change of direction is very sudden, I feel like it's for the better.
Hopefully Introverted Boss will continue on this path and I also hope the ratings will reflect it. They were down this week, but I'm happy I didn't drop this.
I am trying to figure out what to watch next and I need some help. I have narrowed it down to Introverted Boss (aka My Shy Boss) and Jealousy Incarnate. After finishing Coffee Prince, I am down for other workplace romances and the romcom general vibe. What did you guys think about these two shows? I am also open to other suggestions.
Thanks in advance for the help!
What's a book I could give him for Christmas that we could read together as a way to help bridge the personality gap between us?
I see my boss struggle with this every holiday season. Our dept is mostly introverts (myself included) and we aren't huge fans of gift exchanges / big events / needless forced mingling. My boss is.
I thought she was kind of relaxing her stance on it this year, but she came on stronger than ever.
One example is that everyone is expected to attend the birthday lunches we have every quarter or so for those who have had a birthday. If you don't attend, boss will call you into her office and ask "if everything's okay" and why you didn't attend. I've called in sick to avoid a lunch, personally, to avoid this confrontation.
My boss means well and is a pleasant person otherwise, but I can't help but feel she's clueless about what it means to be an introvert.
My dept at work is full of excellent, hard-working employees.. and the atmosphere is very laid back. We chat when we want, but if not, no one cares. We keep to ourselves sometimes and that's okay too.
Hi! I'm new here! I've just completed my first drama "Introverted boss" and I really liked that one because:
introverted main character,
funny and cute,
girls with beautifully done makeup~
The cons for me were:
sometimes it was slow,
there was quite a lot of "flashbacks"
Can you recommend me something similar? :3
I don't have any experience in sales but i want to ask my boss for an opportunity in that department (he is the general manager who also manages sales). The bad thing is that i'm very introverted and i don't talk much at work unless i have something to talk about like something specific about work and stuff. My boss knows that i'm kind of quiet, but i know that if i put a lot of effort in it i can do well or at least i know i will give it my all, who knows if it will work since sales is so complicated. Also i'm still in college but i can definitely work a full 40 hours schedule. What can i tell my boss to take me into consideration and not just disregard the idea of having me in his sales team.
(xpost r/ENFP)
I'm 23F ENFP. Sorry this is long and rambling. Sometimes I think and work things out through writing.
I started my job about 8 months ago. I absolutely love it, but it is really challenging and still feel like I started yesterday. I am constantly improving, but it's slow and I still make mistakes.
However, I have heard from a lot of people it takes about a year-year and a half to get "good" at this job. Another difficulty is I am home based and do not work in an office. I interact personally with our customers constantly, but see my boss and team members maybe once a month. I have a weekly phone conference with my boss and beyond that is occasional phone calls and emails during the week.
ANYWAYS- From day 1 I knew that my boss was a little different. He is introverted, only speaks when it is something specific and relevant, and has awkward silences. His expressions are also flat and almost blank. The way he talks to you has no embellishment or phrases to it. I guess a good example would be he says 5 words when a normal person would say 10 and an ENFP would say 30, haha.
To be fair, early on some people would reference or hint that he's tough and quiet. But I had NO IDEA it was this bad. So, I do know that he is like this to some degree to others and it isn't new.
A lot of my feelings could be warped because I am used to having good conversations with people. I am used to seeing people become comfortable with me the more we talk. Used to people smiling with me, laughing, reciprocating, etc. I guess what I am trying to say is I am used to people liking me and I am used to being able to establish a relationship.
Note: I am NOT looking to be best friends with my boss, I am just looking to be human with my boss and improve and grow within the job with his guidance.
I guess the issues I am having are:
When he does talk to me, it is very strict and plain and is always instructing me to do something, pointing out something I did wrong, or chastising me. So basically, I am only hearing neutral and negative and it is NOT good. I am dying a little bit every time I get talked to. I know there are things I do well, and I know he knows it. But not hearing him acknowledge the good things let's the bad weight much more. BECAUSE he is so strict and formal, I don't feel comfortable telling him that I need validation when I get something right or when I've improved on something. This isn't an option yet. What should I do?
Because he is so q
Otherwise known as My Shy Boss. Episode 3 aired the day after I.O.I's last concert, and I suspect someone on staff is a fan:
At 00:36:24, Ro-woon's phone rings; her ringtone is Somi singing "Very Very Very".
At 00:48:14, Hwan-ki's mother is singing "Pick Me" in bed.
One of the project managers on my team is an extrovert and I can tell she sees some of my personality traits as an introvert as negative. It really is a weird dynamic where she doesn't really know what I am doing on a day-to-day basis and doesn't care to find out and never calls on me for anything. There have been times where she would mistakenly ask 'x' person a question on something I was working on, 'x' person will direct the question to me and I would answer. The PM will follow-up with another question but direct it towards 'x' person again. It is honestly very hurtful, but on a day-to-day basis I don't really have any reason to interact with her since I work more closely with the job captain or the other project manager and other team members. She will say things like "you're so quiet!", which makes it obvious how she has created a perception and impression of me in her mind based on my personality and not on the quality of my work.
I had always try to not take this too personally as I felt like her not really directly supervising me meant that it didn't have a direct impact on my career. I can confidently say that the other people I have worked with would know that I am not shy and am eager to take on more responsibilities. But today I had my performance review, at which HR and the principal (basically the PM's boss) was present. The principal brought up how he had asked that PM and a few others about me. Generally feedback was all positive except the only comment was that I should speak up more. I immediately felt it very unfair that someone who has judged me solely on my personality has such an influence over my review. I tried to give the principal more context in a way to not sound too defensive but it seriously still bothers me so much. I'm so sick of extroverts setting the rules. I truly believe introverts are very valuable in any workplace and make even better leaders and I want to develop my career with this in mind. I am not about to change my personality to suit this PM nor do I hope to change her mind about introverts. But how do I navigate through work otherwise?
My bosses keep telling me I need to learn to speak up and that she, in fact, is an introvert as well. She says I have to learn to turn it off while Iβm at work so I can start building connections with the different departments we work with. I just donβt really understand how to βturn it off.β
Any advice about how one βturns it offβ or is that even a thing?
Is it wort watching or just a waste of time?
