A list of puns related to "International direct dialing"
I live in europe. When I try to call a hotline in the US a voice says that the hotline is free only in the US and I would be charged international direct dialing rates if I engage in the phone call.
I have unlimited minutes with mobile and landlines in america on my phone contract.
If I engage in the phone call, will I be charged with something or will it be free?
I have never used wifi calling/ texting before, so sorry if that is a silly question!
We are going to Europe to visit family and I want to use the free wifi texting/ calling (mostly texting) as most places we will be has wifi. Can I use the "normal" stored number of my friends and family back in the USA? Ie, 10 digits? Or do I need to go in manually and add the 001 international dialing code for the USA before connecting?
Also, does the free texting work for just text or can I semd MMS (photos/ short videos) too?
My top 3 that would be viable: Tokyo, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh since there is a lot of traffic in that direction pre pandemic.
I know a while ago there was talk of a direct route from Adelaide to the west coast of the USA, but I can't see that happening.

International Apes can get a DRS registered share via giveashare.com and then make future purchases via Computershare
Update: It's been brought to my attention that further CS purchases still require a US bank account HOWEVER this still enables International Apes to purchase their first Direct Registered Shares without the bullshit of dealing with brokerage signups and transfers and is likely the best option for new international apes looking to buy a single golden ticket.
Anyone concerned about making future purchases can open one directly with a US bank, and may be able to open a US bank account through a local broker who allows US trading. If this is an individual cash account you can then use this account for transferring money and purchasing shares through Computershare without having to deal with another broker.

Pretty much the question above. I have my account all ready to go with some nice DRSd shares but Iβd love to buy all of my future shares directly through CS. Iβve seen some posts by international apes that have bought direct and Iβm just wondering how they manages to do that because I have no idea what a routing number is when itβs asking for my bank details.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was calling Australia this evening and each call after was placed Iβd get a T-Mobile recording saying βto place this international call, press (random two digits).β
Never had this before. Is this a feature you can disable?
I know am probably answering my own question and Iβm sure this has been answered here in comments for another thread (sorry!) but I really donβt want to show up in Hawaii with the wrong documentation.
If you are flying directly to Hawaii from another country (in my case, Canada) can you skip entering your info in Safe Travels?
According to this press release Hawaii News Release Nov. 2 you just need vaccination proof and covid test (antigen or naat). But it doesnβt explicitly say that we donβt need to enter Safe Travels. Thanks!
Consumer Cellular claims direct dial international calling is available. I've called twice Customer Service twice to get it activated at no cost. Both times they said it was on and working properly yet when I call I get their recording saying it's not activated and I need to call customer service. On the third try they said this feature has a "repair ticket" issued. I've been with them 2 months and still can't call Germany. They apologize but can't say when/if it will be repaired.
Anyone having similar issues? Were you able to resolve it? How?
This is what helps me achieve a good balanced tone and allows me to use the Amp block's tonestack knobs (Bass, Mid, Treble, etc.) in a more useful manner:
I start with just an amp and cab block that I like.
In the cab block, I like to select the 160 Ribbon mic(a pretty neutral mic, with a hump in the low end that gets bigger when placed closer to a sound source) and bring it back at least 5 inches. 0 Early Reflections.
In the amp block, I crank up the Bass knob to 7 or 8 or so, so that it gets pretty boomy. In the cab block, I raise the the low cut until the boom starts to go away. In the Amp block,Β I'll back the Bass knob down to 0 and if done right, I'll be lacking in low end. Then I'll bring it up to 5 have more-or-less a balanced bass response.
Then I'll repeat for the treble knob and high cut.
What I'm doing is finding the right ratio between an Amp block's tone stack knobs, the appropriate low/high cuts, and my playing volume. If the volume changes, the tonestack/cab cut ratio will likely change.
Dont fret if your low cut is up to 250hz or if your high cut is down to 2.5k. If you're playing at 90db through a good live sound reinforcement monitor, this might sound and feel great in the room -- while at 70db on a set of studio monitors, you'd might want to make some changes ..or a whole different preset -- I keep banks for different output methods -- but most of the time my gig level presets are useable at any volume, even through IEMs.
Have fun
With NoPing eliminated from the Animajor in 9th-12th place no other combination of results can keep Alliance from clinching at least a 12th spot on the DPC rankings.
Alliance gained all their DPC points from being the best performing team in the EU regionals this year. As EU is the most competitive and toughest region this also proves by extension that Alliance is the most well deserved invite this DPC. Perhaps ever in Dota history.
It is a true credit to GabeN's masterful script this DPC season to write it in such a skillful manner as to guarantee Alliance's presence at The International 10 being held in the team's native Sweden.
Hi all,
Figured this was the best place to ask. From December 17th, international arrivals into Queensland can home quarantine (assuming they are citizens or permanent residents). She is of course fully vaccinated and will need to provide negative tests, too. No issues there.
My wife is a dual citizen, and has flights to head overseas to see her family for Christmas and New Year. Itβs been four years since sheβs seen them, so sheβs over the moon. She flies back to Australia on January 10th.
This QLD Government Roadmap states that - at 80% fully vaxxed - if you are arriving in Queensland on βa direct international flightβ then youβll need to home quarantine for a period up to 14 days. We are both completely fine with that outcome.
However, Qantas has now postponed direct LAX - BNE flights until February 2022. As such, her new route home has been changed to LAX - SYD - BNE. In other words, sheβs got a connecting flight now through another state. She wonβt leave the airport, and itβs all part of a single booking through QANTAS. Iβm not even sure if sheβd go through customs in Sydney or Brisbane?
Does this still count as a direct international flight? We donβt want any issues with her re-entry into Australia, and we certainly donβt her to be shoved into hotel quarantine or Wellcamp etc.
Just being overly cautious here, and wanted to ask.
Thanks a lot
