I was just in a car accident

After exchanging information I told her to have a good day and that it was nice running into her.

I did it! So proud of my dad joke momentโ€ฆ.

In our family group chat, my SIL informed us all that my brother tore a tendon while helping his son do a backflip on the trampoline.

My response-

โ€œ[Brother], youโ€™re flipping amazing. Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ll bounce back. Good job tendon to [son].โ€

Is it wrong to feel this good about a dad joke?

A frog walks into a bank looking for a loanโ€ฆ

Reading the nameplate on her desk the frog begins, โ€œGood morning Miss Whack, my name is Kermit and I need a loan.โ€

โ€œOkay Kermit, Iโ€™ll need some more information, named after your father, the famous muppet, I assume?โ€

โ€œNo, but I get that a lot. Itโ€™s Jagger, my dad is the rock star Mick Jaggerโ€

โ€œOh I apologize Mr. Jagger, didnโ€™t realize Mick had any frog children. The last thing weโ€™ll need is some sort of collateral to guarantee the loan. โ€œ

Kermit Jagger reaches into his pocket, pulls out a small plastic elephant and puts it on the desk between them saying โ€œI think this will suffice.โ€

Looking down in confusion at the trinket she says โ€œthis is rather unusual Mr Jagger, Iโ€™ll need to consult with my manager.โ€ Shouting into the next office she says, โ€œBob can you come in here for a second?โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s up Patty?โ€ The manager asks.

โ€œKermit here just gave me this plastic elephant as collateral for a loan. Have you ever seen anything like this before?โ€

โ€œOf courseโ€ Bob responds. โ€œItโ€™s a knick nack, Patty Wack, give the frog a loan! His old manโ€™s a Rolling Stone!โ€

Bad news, good news, and great news โ€ฆ

The day after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident in the Bay Of Fundy, Nova Scotia, a man answered his door to find two grim-faced Mounties.

โ€œWe know it's late, sir, but we have some information about your wife," said one of the Mounties.

"Tell me! Did you find her!?" the husband shouted.

The Mounties looked at each other. One said,

"We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news.. Which do you want to hear first?"

Fearing the worst, the ashen husband said "Give me the bad news first."

The second Mountie said, "I'm sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your wife's body in the bay." "Oh my God!" exclaimed the husband. Swallowing hard, he asked, "What's the good news?"

The Mountie continued, "When we pulled her up, she had 6 twenty-five pound snow crabs and 12 good-size lobsters clinging to her."

Stunned, the husband demanded, "If that's the good news, what's the great news???"

The Mountie answered, "We're gonna pull her up again tomorrow."

Blood and Organ related puns please

So a colleague is leaving my work (transfusion medicine lab) to work as an information manager for the organ transplant service. I make cards and Iโ€™m trying to think up something punny to write on/in his card and Iโ€™ll paint a picture on the front for context. I was thinking like โ€œbloody good luckโ€ or โ€œsorry youโ€™re transplantingโ€... but less shitty!

Thanks in advance :)

Detective Johnson and detective Smith were investigating a murder that occurred next to a playground. The only witnesses to the murder were four children, a brother age 3 and sister age 4, and a different brother (age 7) and sister (age 8).

The children all lived in a nearby apartment complex. The younger siblings lived in apartment 8D and the older ones lived in apartment 9D. Detective Johnson advised Detective Smith that she probably shouldnโ€™t bother question 8Dโ€™s children about what they saw, since theyโ€™re too young to have a reliable memory. He believed that Smith would have a better chance of getting good information from the older children, since only 9Dโ€™s kids will remember.

I'm technically an uncle, but my niece laughed so...

Did you hear about the Cockatiel that was trying to find a new home for his family? He zipped back and forth everywhere, but couldn't find a good spot anywhere. Then he came across a bear, sleeping flat of his back with his mouth wide open. Not recognizing what it was, he thought the bear's mouth would be the perfect spot for a nest. He gathered his family and they all got to work building a new home for themselves, but then the bear woke up. Realizing what was going on, he politely informed them that he couldn't let them nest in his mouth. He hated to do it, but it was quite the bird den to bear.

The hidden puns of LexisNexis

Years ago I used to use a LexisNexis database of companies that would give corporate information like name, address, and general business description. While most of them were pretty bland, there were a bunch of them with some really cheesy puns, and over a few years I built quite a collection.

Today I share with you "NEXIS IS RIDICULOUS.txt":

  • It would be logical for Mr. Spock to boldly go to Vulcan International for rubber products. He might even live long and prosper -- in comfortable shoes.

An old favorite

King Broderick was in trouble. He wasn't a very good king, and his brother Argyle was gathering forces to depose him and take the crown. In desperation, he captured Count Petrie, a very popular man who was one of his brother's cronies, and tortured him to learn his brother's location.

But the count wouldn't divulge the information, so the King scheduled a public execution. The crowds gathered, including the King's brother, who was there in disguise. The Count was forced to kneel, with his head on the chopping block. The headsman stood nearby, holding his axe at the ready. King Broderick loudly proclaimed "Count, you are here before me because you have aligned yourself with my brother. If you tell me where he is, I will allow you to live out your days in my dungeon. Remain silent, and you will die." The Count remained silent. King Broderick motioned to the headsman, who slowly raised his axe and swung it down...THUNK...into the wood next to the Count's head. The Count stared at the axe, visibly shaking. King Broderick loudly proclaimed "Count, that was a warning, and there will not be another. Tell me where my brother is and you will live. Remain silent, and you will die!" The Count stayed silent. King Broderick again motioned to the headsman, who raised the axe. As the headsman began the downswing, the Count cried out "Wait!!" but...THUNK...it was too late, and the Count's head fell to the ground.

At the Count's death, the King's brother leapt up and revealed himself to the crowd. Cheering Argyle, they crowded forward and overran the King's guards. Soon, it was Broderick's head on the chopping block. Argyle, the new King, waved back the headsman, knelt beside his brother and whispered into his ear "Silly brother, don't hatchet your Counts before they've chickened."
