A list of puns related to "Ian Gillan discography"
Obviously Josh sounds like Josh, but you can see bits of inspiration from bits of pieces from rock canon. I was listening to "Deep Purple In Rock" and especially during the song "Blood Sucker" I really made the connection of Josh taking inspiration from Ian Gillan's vocals back in 1970. I've never seen any mentions of Deep Purple in Greta conversations so I'm asking you what are your thoughts?
Recently I have been listening to my dad's old CDs and I listened to 24 carat purple... so during strange kind of woman Ian Gillan sings along with the guitar in a high pitched voice and I have been trying to do it but I cant even manage to sing anywhere near the way he does it. Now ofc I know that Ian is an amazing singer and what he does takes a lot of skill so me attempting to do this in 5 min is laughable, but I was wondering if you guys know the name of the technique used or how exactly he does it??
I got the new Deep Purple album, Whoosh! the other day. Pretty good overall, albeit not quite as heavy as say In Rock. But listening to it this morning I heard the lyrics to the song 'The Long Way Round', and was surprised to hear
I promised myself
I would not get trashed again
But the way I'm feeling right now
That promise is going down the drain, yeah

Nice. ;)
Compared to the other versions, Ianβs constant falsettos and way of singing during certain songs of the album make me feel that Iβm listening to a JesusChrist with a egotistical problems.
Since obviously God was an Englishman (apologies to our U.K. brothers)
