A list of puns related to "I taste a liquor never brewed"
That quote has struck me as quite apt for my situation. I taste a pshycosis never brewed.
My life could not be considered bad. My parents divorced, but I got everything I ever needed. My mum had depression around this time, and I can tell it had an effect on me.
The girl of my dreams got married to her ex a couple of months ago. She says she still wants to be best friends. Am I selfish for finding that incredibly hard to do?
I've been out of work nearly a year now. I'm on a back to work progrom, but my anxiety and depression make it the hardest thing in the world to attend and stay there every day.
I went on a date, and I was anxious about kissing her, then I decided not to. I thought "What's the point?"
Yesterday I felt confident in the world around me, today I feel nothing but despair.
My pschychiatrist has prescribed me Escitalopram, Olanzapine and Ambien.
Would it be the worst thing to just take them all at once and walk the streets until I collapse? Romanticising my beautiful city one more time.
I'm sorry for posting, but I need to talk to someone. I'm drowning in madness never brewed.
There's something about the breakdown, like after he says "never brewed!" that gets to me. Sort of sounds gypsy-like. I think it's Guignol that does this instrument in the song. Either way, there's something about that instrument over that guitar that makes me want to dance. If I could find any similar songs/albums/artists, I would be grateful.
The only variables that have stayed the same are the water (we both always use filtered tap) and the cleaning sanitizer (star san). Other than that everything has been changed from time to time. TIA for any help/ideas
I'm a simple man, I just want optimal caffeine buzz whenever I desired.
Since Worf spent most of his childhood in Russia, is this why he likes prune juice so much? Alternatively, shouldn't he already like Kvas?
Kiddo is 8, and I was excited she wanted to share the brewinghobby for a bit, so here's what we did:
20L batch
500g light dme 0,7 kg ginger, grated 1kg lemon/orange we mixed about 50/50, zests and juice. Boil/steep with the dme, fill upp with water to 20 L in fermenter, pitch S-04 When fermentation seems done, add 1 kg pureed mango and leave for 5-7 days. Sweeten with maltodextrin to taste, we used 90g of "canderel" powder. Coldcrash and fine with gelatin. Prime and bottle. By my measurements we came out sub 1%, my recipe app said it could have been 1,6%. Still that's alright for the kiddo imo. Now we hope they're carbed up by christmas! Cheers

I opened an LHBS earlier this year. This past June I was invited by Sunken City Brewing Co.'s brewmaster, Jeremy, to come brew on their pilot system. I posted on our Facebook page asking our customers what style they would like me to brew, meanwhile Jeremy, with tongue firmly planted in his cheek, said that I should do a malt liquor. We laughed for a bit and then I thought "Why not?".
It turned out, however, that they weren't set up to do small batch lagers in the summer time and we wound up brewing an ESB.
Now that the weather has changed, Jeremy invited me back, and specifically asked me to brew up the malt liquor. So on Monday I traveled down to the brewery and with the help of their assistant brewer, Seth, I got started on brewing on their Sabco Brew Magic pilot system. We got it brewed, enjoyed a couple of Steel Reserves along the way, and now the beer is happily fermenting away.
Again, I've never brewed a lager before, much less a malt liquor. I'm much more of an IPA and stout guy myself. So, without further adieu, here is the recipe that we brewed and some pictures of the brew day.
Southern Hills Homebrew Supply & Sunken City Dam Buster Malt Liquor
13 Gallons
11.5 lbs 2-Row
11.5 lbs 6-Row
4.75 lbs Flaked Corn
2.75 lbs Flaked Rice
13.5 oz Weyermann Carahell
1 oz Cascade @ 60 minutes
1 oz Mandarina Bavaria @ 10 minutes
WLP840 American Lager yeast
I'm kind of nervous because I've never brewed with that quantity of adjuncts before (and in fact, I've never brewed with flaked corn or flaked rice.)
Macallan 12 is my favorite drink on earth. So delicious. I normally don't even post here because I normally don't have much to offer, or many questions. (When I do post, I'm usually pointing out that you should be doubting all religion and not just the org, but the org is a good place to start.)
But like I said, I was 13 or 14 when I last went regularly to the KH and I'm about to be 27. Soooo, I don't remember anything about not being allowed to drink? Of course that could have something to do with my own parents. I also, obviously, don't have hardly any experience with the JW technology they have started using over the past several years, so I've never watched any video that has this tony guy in it.
(I did have the JW Bible app thing downloaded on my phone for a while though. I still see some of the old JWs from when I was a kid and I'm usually nice and talkative with them. My mom has started going to the hall again and I'm an outspoken atheist. So, the few people that our local kh trusts to talk to atheists will talk to me every time they see me, those that aren't trusted to proselytize to me still sometimes say hi because they remember me from when I was a little bitty kid. I actually like 2 of these people. They'd be really awesome if they weren't JWs, and I sometimes wonder if they don't have a lot more doubt than they let on. But anyways, one of them showed me the Bible app one day and I downloaded it, because it's actually pretty cool. Being able to use any version and taking any part and looking at some original translations. It's really handy for atheists like me who at the time wanted to teach people that the bible is bullshit. Or teach people just how terrible of a being the god of the Bible is, that if he existed; does not deserve to be worshipped.)
But anyways, I've been largely out of the loop for 15 years, only casually saying hi to some folks, and sometimes offering support to those trying to leave.
So can someone give me a run down on why this Tony buying good Macallan is a scandal? Because I never thought jws weren't allowed to drink.
