W’sup my fellow ladies, gaydies, and theydies: so I still consider myself a baby repper even though it’s been a wild ride since I first started my journey back in June. Since I am still at the infancy of my bag journey, I felt like I’d be a little more introspective with what makes me a RepLady. Seeing as we all come from various generations, socioeconomic statuses, cultures, and we all navigate the world perceived differently, I figured that these varying backgrounds have all had a huge effect on our decisions with how we have interacted with this forum. At the end of the day, we all have our own stories. Feel free to share your own; I am honestly just as deeply interested in getting to know what makes every Replady an RLer just as much as I am interested in getting to know your bags hehe

##What was your first intro into bags? My mother had a very humble collection of maybe 2~3 LV bags when I was young. Although I barely have a recollection of them, I remember vividly the sentiments which they conveyed to her. It was her own version of “making it.” She had placed her faith on a man with an ambition to leave the country and migrate to the United States. She married him regardless of the fact that his own family didn’t much like her. She took my brother and left her own family in Mexico once my dad was able to finally land a job in the Northeast. Together, they formed a family as he went through his own professional training, which wasn’t fully complete until I was 6. That’s when she made it. Timeline 2 - the spiral continues

10/23 (yes, literally the day after I decided I was keeping Birdcage and I was done 🤦🏼‍♀️) - I spy another Empreinte PM in Aadi’s album, this time from Yellow Wall (a factory that has like two reviews on this sub, thanks guys 😜). From factory pics, the embossing looks like it has a similar texture to Birdcage but is slightly deeper. And Aadi says it is the highest quality possible (don’t they always lol), and at this point I feel like I’m committed to this mad chase.

10/24 - I randomly reach out to Mr Bao to see what his suggestion is for the highest quality Empreinte (as I had purchased an Empreinte key holder from him previously that was good). After discussing, and Mr Bao sending me literally 25 (random?) factory pics while I hemmed and hawed, I end up buying his secret factory version. Honestly, the pictures I sent him with scribbles all over side-by-side comparison pics of multiple bags showing the texture and depth I want on the embossing should get me committed (or at least cut off from using the “markup” feature on my iPhone). I legit would not have blamed him for telling me “sorry I don’t sell to crazy people” and then blocking me but he just sent me a laughing emoji and told me he’d pick a good one for me while I decide to blame this now-obvious break from reality on covid stress.

Later that night Aadi sends me PSPs for the Yellow Wall PM and they’re promising. Still not as deep as An factory but they appear to be deeper than Birdcage while still retaining some texture. I GL (and then have to wait for the creme Empreinte Neonoe that I also ordered to be ready before they can ship, I dunno wtf LV did to the Empreinte leather but

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
