They could sing almost any song and they "dueled" back and forth. There were buckets of alcohol you could drink and small finger food to order. I'm heartbroken as it's the only bar where I actually enjoy myself lol. Anyone know of something like this that's open?
Not even a month after another popular piano bar, The Big Bang, re-opened in the campus area, Columbus residents can expect the opening of another local piano bar, this time in the Short North.
Thatโs because Howl at the Moon has announced it will hold its official grand opening on Nov. 5.
โWe know you have all been waiting patiently for this announcement and we are ready to oblige,โ Howl at the Moon said in a statement posted to their Instagram yesterday.
Located at 504 N. Park St., the Chicago-based chain of piano bars operated a Brewery-District spot years ago, and announced its decision to re-enter the Columbus market this summer.
You can secure a spot at the piano barโs grand opening party here. Doors opened for the eventโwhich will feature $1 drink specials throughout the eveningโat 6:00 p.m., and the show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Itโs likely to run until 8 p.m., but patrons are welcome to stay longer.

I'm a drummer(not musician) wanting to play some cover songs with a band. I would love to play at howl or petes but i think they require a little more than drums. I'd play 100 percent for free. I wouldnt mind driving to any of the surrounding cities, I have transportation, and my own equipment. I just want to play some great tunes for a crowd. I'm 24 so age isn't an issue.
Anyone know of any dueling piano bars in Jax? I moved down from Boston, and before that I was in Philly - and in both cities we had a Howl at the Moon - which is like a fun, upbeat club with a live band that takes requests and occasionally has some piano duels.
From searching online, it seems like maybe there used to be one in Jax, but it's since closed. Anyone know of something similar?
Just looking for a recommendation. My little sister is going to be celebrating her birthday on a Saturday and is interested in these two venues. Any feedback on which is more fun??

I saw another post with the same suggestion and I thought it would be a great addition to the wild update, and really create that wild feel
I was just in Chicago and went to Howl at the Moon and it was fantastic! The bar itself was a little douchey but the live music was amazing. It's marketed as a dueling pianos bar but there was a full set of instruments and the band was so good - every member could play every instrument and the range of songs they could play was phenomenal.
I found out there used to be one in NYC but it closed down and I'm so bummed! Are there any similar bars here? Have any of you ever been? I know they have them in many cities in the US and I'm not used to NYC not having something other cities do!

Shiba, it's been fun girl, you made me some money and we had a good time, but it's time to move on...don't get me wrong, I loved the doggy style, but i'm ready for wolf style.
When I first read about the Howl at the Moon event last week, it said it was today on the 9th, I even went and looked at the screenshot I sent my partner about it and it even says this Saturday, the 9th but when I went to Delilah's pet store I saw a poster saying it was on the 8th which means I missed it. Does anyone know if it actually was yesterday? It also says the 8th on the same site that I took the screenshot from, which I took on the 4th so it would be weird to change the date that fast.
