I've often heard that in a rapid depressurization of an aircraft cabin, you will lose consciousness within a couple of seconds due to the lack of oxygen, and that's why you need to put your oxygen mask on first and immediately before helping others. But if I can hold my breath for a minute, would I still pass out within seconds?

So every year we do a fun staff picture where about 50 staff members stand in close proximity (shoulder to shoulder). We are back, fully face to face with PD this week. Some staff members whined because they don’t want to wear a mask for the picture. So my principal emailed and asked us all if we were willing to take off our masks real quick and just “hold our breath for three seconds.” I said I didn’t think it was worth the risk, and was told I could have the option of wearing a mask, but am I ok with others not. There was also a group of teachers that wouldn’t wear masks at their table during PD because they “hung out all summer.” Will they accept that excuse from their students? This is the adults...how can I even expect the kids to follow rules and comply if the adults can’t put health first.

To be more specefic about the pressure thing your body once in the state of invincibility will be at normal earth surface pressure this will include anything inside so you could potentially kill yourself if you activated it underwater
Saw this somewhere and thought everyone should know it. When holding your breath, you get adrenaline which clears your nostrils. Your nose will however start running just so u know.
Discovered this neat trick like about a year ago? Cools down the food way more quickly in my experience. Works only w certain foods tho. Can only think of rice atm. Probably airy and/or soft foods then? Man imma be so embarrassed if this is actually hella common
I've spoken to 8 tier 2 specialists in the past week about my payments being on pending since 12/19/20. They've all told me my account is under review to see if I'm eligible for PEUC. I'm on UI and i STILL have a balance. I did get hit with a fraud claim but they wold me that's not why my account is on pending. I've been told theres nothing they can do and I just have to wait. At one point I got angry at one of them because my bills can't 'just wait', and my phone will be cut off at the end of the month since I cannot pay for it. They've really fucked me over...
