A list of puns related to "History of Jakarta"
Gue berencana melanjutkan studi ke London tahun ini, dan sekarang udah mulai cari perlengkapan buat hidup disana, nah salah satunya winter clothing.
Udah coba cari di mall, tapi masih ngerasa harganya kemahalan. Nyari di Tokped nemu kaya cuma 400-600 k tapi gak yakin itu KW apa engga. Sejujurnya bukan peduli sm brandnya sih, takutnya kalo KW malah gak anget. Gak peduli sama brandnya, tapi yang penting anget :")
Mohon rekomendasinya kalau komodos punya pengalaman. Oya, kalau rekomendasinya online gapapa di kota apapun sih sebenernya, Jakarta/Bandung itu kalau toko fisik saja hehe.
Terima kasih sebelumnya.
Salam Olahraga!
I just finished my ~10 days first trip to Jakarta, and for me it was one of those places, which I feel relieved to leave.
it seems this city contains most of worst parts of Asian megalopolis, without much positive sides.
For example, it's virtually impossible to walk in the city (except for walking inside malls, which gets old real quick). Another pedestrian-prohibitive city I could recall is Dubai.
The air quality sucks, general food quality sucks (even for above average venues).
Nightlife is very expensive due to high alcohol prices. People smoke inside all the time.
There is virtually no tourist attractions in the city, beside old Dutch town.
There is a lot of poor/rich division, like there are modern skyscrapers and nearby slum-like areas.
There are a lot of loud prayers from mosques few times per day, starting very early in the morning.
There are huge traffic jams and commuting usually is a challenge in itself.
So, I'm curious, what are your opinions on Jakarta, for those who visited this city? Maybe I missed something nice being there?
What some other shithole places where you have been, but have no intentions to come back whatsoever?
Hi everyone,
So two weeks ago I made the decision to go to Indonesia, amidst all Covid-19 issues. Guess what, you'be been flooded too?! This is obviously worse for you, but should this implicate any of my travels? I will arrive this sunday!
I was planning on going 2 days Jakarta - Bandung - Jogya - Bromo - Marang (or anything like this). Or should I rather reschedule this and go immediately inland or perhaps to Sumatra (or Bali?).
Your opinion is really welcome.
Kind regards!

I am looking for a good psychologist in Jakarta (or Jabodetabek). Hopefully someone can point me in a right direction here.
Thanks in advance.

My gf and I have a flight booked to Jakarta (CGK) January 17th. We had planned on staying for a week to see the sights, but with the flooding going on we are changing our plans.
I am wondering if it is possible / safe / won't impede evacuations to still fly in to Jakarta then catch a flight out, likely to Yogyakarta. This would be much cheaper than getting new flights on shorter notice and trying to get the original one refunded.
