A list of puns related to "Here I Am (Marvin Sapp album)"
So I know I blew my cover with that title so let me explain. Art is subjective so Iβm not bothered by people liking Art Official Age or anything but personally it has been one of my least favorite - if not my least, out of his entire discography. Of course I have a couple more albums to listen to in his catalog ( at least ) but Iβve listened to almost every single one. And PLECTRUMELECTRUM? Totally the opposite for me. In fact itβs tied for my favorite (I donβt have just one or two favorites itβs more of a tier but this one would be on it for sure). I didnβt wanna read critic reviews of his albums before listening to them thoroughly (Iβm going through his whole discography for the first time, in order right now, almost done like I said), but I looked up some and this one has to be one of the ones I cringed at the most. The score, the weird reasoning, the critique just really seemed snobby and misplaced a bit. It doesnβt make sense to me why this album gets lower scores by a lot of critics Iβve seen, especially compared to ART OFFICIAL.
Also the rankings by critics and even many fans of Princes discography for me have been really disappointing. Itβs all subjective but Iβve yet to find one that I agreed with even half of the time almost.
Personally I think Purple Rain is better than Sign O the Times. I liked Come better than Gold. I liked the Black Album more than Sign as well. In general I dislike Gold, Sign (o the Times), Art Official Age, 1999, emancipation, and lovesexy (dislike is relative, I still love these albums just not as much as some of his other albums) more than a lot of critics seem to. Itβs not that I donβt like anything on those albums. I love some of the songs on them. But I enjoyed other albums more. I think his first two albums are far better than people say they are; same with NEWS, around the world in a day, Batman, love symbol, come, crystal ball, the truth, heck even rainbow children (despite some tracks I cringed at i think itβs still a great album in many repsects), Xpectation, the Chocolate invasion, Lotusflower too.
I was generally shocked at some of the critical reviews for some of his albums. Not what I expected at all for many of the albums.
Sorry to ramble, but what are your thoughts on this article / these albums?
I started a photoblog on the coronavirus developments in NYC, I just published part 3 of my journal
I am carrying a camera during my necessity trips and I am posting pictures of detailed changes around the city around us. I am interested in documenting and logging how the virus situation is impacting the day-to-day life of regular folks in the street.

Before you comment, note these are all trips that I had to undertake for either work/necessity reasons. I am wearing gloves/masks and social distancing as much as possible.
Hope these are interesting!
