Living at your address for over 10 years, when the council introduce residential parking permits to your area to "make my life better", and then charging me for it when it's been free my entire life
Apparently my road is too close to the city centre to warrant having freely available parking, so the council have introduced CPZs to the region I live in. Apparently its to make sure residential parking is reserved to residents only.
There was NO warning of this, NO communication and no announcement whatsoever, the signs have just gone up stating I'll probably get a fine.
On top of that, to acquire a permit I have to fill out a form and pay ยฃ65 annually for something I've always had for free. If this is to penalise people who would but shouldn't park here, why the fuck am I the one paying?!

Hey St. Louis area, watch out for this one. He tried to assault my sister after he almost wrecked into her in a parking lot. When she took his picture he pulled a badge. This is the only decent picture she got of him. I would love if anyone know what department he works for in the area.

Where to find overnight parking areas?
Due to unfortunate circumstances I have to live out of my car for a few months. Does anyone know of places that allow overnight parking? Trying to avoid homeless programs due to being a young female and having one too many uncomfortable encounters with tweakers (just trying to play it safe). Thanks!

Quick Q: Can we park in a 'regular' aka Car, parking spot at Rest Areas? Truck Stops?
Hi all, and hope you are well.
Just wondering people's experiences with Overnight parking a Class C ( 23 ft ) in regular parking spots? Places I'm considering (Rest Area, Truck Stops, Walmarts, Cracker Barrel).
Of course I'd park on the side and away from others IF I had to use a regular spot.
I ask this as I wouldn't want to take a truck spot at like a Rest Area or truck Stop.

Entitled neighbor doesnโt like a Gig cars on their street. I parked legally (App approved parking area) with plenty of spaces available on the street for parking. Parked less than 12 hours. Feels a bit classist considering not everyone has a personal car at all times.

Kusue Hakozaki: thoughts???
Honestly the more we get into the anime the more she just seems so useless. She has one of the biggest "talks" in the whole season one such as "all lives matter", "saving people matter", but she's down right useless. What has she actually done to back up all those claims apart from just speaking hear "thoughts". Even the annoying fire mage had more use in season 2. She's just really frustrating to watch. I hope she actually does redeem herself in the future if not I'm not even sure why she's in the 2nd highest priority to live in yuuske's list.

You want to know why more people aren't using the bike lanes? Maybe it's because half of my condo's bikes were stolen from inside a locked parking area inside a locked storage building.
Title says most of what is relevant. I am now among the skyrocketing piles of people who are no longer comfortable owning a bike in this city because of theft.
I want to point out that there is no way this was some junky - they broke into both compound gates to make for an easy getaway, and loaded up about a dozen bikes into whatever they brought. That is organized crime, even if it's low-level organized crime. These were assholes with a plan and funds to have access to a truck and a way of "disposing" of their stolen property en masse. It's not just junkies.
I don't own a bike. I won't be buying a bike again. This is stupid.
Instead of spending the evening restoring an antique storing sewing machine, I got to file a police report and looking into insurance.

Hey fellow redditors, currently looking at apartments in Long Beach and other areas. I was wondering what parking is like in the city Downtown area (most of the places I can afford are the tiny studios DT)?
Are there parking lots you can get an annual pass you can leave your vehicle at overnight? How safe is it to do that?

Received parking violation at 5pm sharp for area that says โno parking sunset to sunriseโ
Technically, sun was still out and wasnโt dark until about 5:10pm ish. Can I protest this violation as the term โsunsetโ is a little bit in the gray area? The sun was setting and it was the twilight zone.
Edit: thanks for the replies guys. Looks like consensus is the ticket is valid and fighting it is probably a waste of time. Btw, this was at Griffith Park off of Zoo Drive.

Does anyone know of a parking lot around this area?
Hey guys!
I created a map on Alltrails of the AT section that runs through Harriman SP. It's an end to end and I plan on making a weekend one-nighter out of it with my GF. I'm running into a problem as I can't find a parking lot to leave my GF's car at (taking both cars since it's end to end). If you can see my map, you'll see the black dot is in a recreation center. They have a big parking lot but I'm unsure about the parking for hikers overnighting. Does anyone know of any parking lots in that area?
