You guys can Google Mara Jade if you don't know who she is, but for those who do: Just type Gunpowder Milkshake into Google's search bar and just you try and tell me she's not made for the Mara Jade role. She's spot on as I imagined the character.
Rumors are once again swirling about Brie Larson trying for the role (if it's even being offered), but they'd be making a huge mistake even considering beyond Karen, at this point.
Given her work as Nebula in the MCU, she's already shown the range she would need to play all the various roles Mara takes on in her arc. Proud Imperial Professional to bitter smuggler to psychotic Manchurian candidate to redeemed Jedi to loving wife and Jedi Master. She could do all of those things flawlessly.
And now, I'm quite convinced of her ability to look like Mara Jade.
