What should Grizzly 2020 date codes look like? My local tobacco store told me this can wasn’t expired after I explained to him the D9 meant that it was made in April 2019. This was how I thought it worked? Am I wrong? This can was lacking flavor but wasn’t too dry. What should the newest codes be?

Is smokeless tobacco aka "dip" like Grizzly, Skoal, or Copenhagen really NOT a safer tobacco alternative to cigarettes?

The only negative effects they both share is the harmful effects of nicotine. Dip does not have the associated lung disease, and some studies show it does NOT cause an increased risk in cancer, specifically oral.

Note: I am not condoning the use of any kind of tobacco. I am simply curious as to the claims that are made regarding the two. There is no debate on my part whether or not smokeless tobacco is "safe", only if it is less harmful than cigarettes.

Why is Grizzly more expensive if it is lower quality tobacco.

Honestly it is a lower quality tobacco and it always smells artificial no matter what flavor you get. Copenhagen and Skoal are cheaper and their WAY better quality.

In my 4 years of dipping I have yet to find a reason as to why Griz has 30% Brazilian tobacco. does anyone have a clue? or if this has been answered please direct me to the right post. I value american made products, so the fact there's Brazilian tobacco bugs me.

Tobacco Free dipping question

I was dipping way back in my late teens and twenties and gave it up when I decided I really needed to kick the tobacco habit. After many years away I’ve picked up some of the tobacco free choices that are now available. My question is are these meant to spit like their tobacco alternatives or just forgo the spitting part? I was never a ‘gutter’ so I’ve been just going by habit so far.

Why don't they invent something for hikers where, if they encounter a cougar or grizzly, they can instantly inflate some huge confusing shape with loud noises? E.g., scare off a bear with an insta-inflate wacky waving tube man with firecrackers.

Edit: I appreciate all the replies and gildings! Based on your feedback I think I will have have to give up my dream of a wacky waving tube man in the forest.

For idea 2.0 however, I'm now wondering if there's something I could rig with canvas, hollow aluminum poles, and springs that could spring out of a hiker's backpack to give him or her an instantly huge silhouette. Maybe connected to an air horn or something.
