Glassnode's Analysis

[Source] One of the largest migrations of Bitcoin hash-power in history appears to be underway. Following an official ban on mining activities in a number of Chinese provinces, many miners are in the process of shutting down or migrating their hash-power outside of China's borders (since June 19).

Over the past two weeks, the estimated mean hash-rate (7DMA) has declined by around 16%, falling from approximately 155 EH/s to around 125 EH/s. Hash-power has now returned to levels that were sustained throughout mid 2020.

Go to https://www.tradingview.com/script/nO5Y6yTa-CV-VWAP-GME/ and favorite the CV VWAP indicator.

Then in TradingView, turn that indicator on under the favorites list. It's pretty simple to use.

Basically if the silver line goes near or above the dotted red line above, its a positive signal for an incoming short squeeze. Don't pay attention to the indicator during AH or PM. Only during trading hours.

There's a couple false signals and intricacies of how to read the signals properly. I explained it early on in my stream today.

How about the latest-gen? Here’s a look at the Antminer S19 Pro. Pre-adjustment, it’s already mining nearly 70k sats/day. After a conservative -20% adjustment, revenue increases to 86.7k sats/day and profit jumps by almost $6/day with 6¢/kWh electricity.

Even with stock firmware, the Whatsminer M20S is profiting nearly $10/day at 6¢/kWh electricity. Factor in the -20% adjustment, and you gain 11k sats/day, or an extra tree fiddy ($3.50) in fiat profit.

Just thought I'd share my experience transferring shares to Vanguard from Robinhood today. When I first did this I transferred to both Charles Schwabe and Vanguard since I had existing accounts and it was a bit stressful triple checking all the numbers are right, learnding the difference between APEX/RHS, etc. But now, RH shows up on the first page of 'transfer from' account lists and they pull the necessary info auto-magically using your RH login details through Yodlee (not that other one (plaid? pinstripe? gangame something?) either that RH uses)!

I’ve been pondering this quite a bit recently.

During Covid there’s been a well-documented trend towards moving to the suburbs, enabled by the advent of blanket WFH policies.

I myself bought a home in a nearby (and more-affordable) suburb outside Vancouver last fall, within commuter reach of the city, making the calculation that WHF would gain enough traction that commuting would cease to be as necessary going forward.

I’m wondering how many others in the industry have made a similar move and a similar similar calculation, as I imagine the scale of the “migration” of experienced staff would play a big part in companies’ (and conceivably, by extension, studios’) insistence on workers returning to the office en masse.

My feeling is that a lot of the seniors will find the pros of WFH outweigh the cons (more time with family etc), whereas juniors will benefit more from the the interactions offered by an office environment in those early stages of their career, along with the vibrancy of city life etc. etc.

Those particular points have been made before, but I guess my main interest is in how many of you have made that move/calculation, and therefore the extent to which the centre of gravity may have shifted.

Of course, no one can understand US politics without also understanding US racism toward non-whites and greed-driven inhumanity in general. We certainly made racism and inhumanity our own, to the point where even European royalty inveighed against US slavery and the so-called slave states seceded.

That odious history, along with that of gangsterish political machines, was rejected resoundingly in US Presidential politics: Despite the "Solid South," from Lincoln through Hoover, only two Democrat Presidents, Cleveland and Wilson, were elected. At that, it took unique circumstances--and it took the Great Depression and the then-radical New Deal to interrupt the Republican hold.

During Reconstruction, Republicans began becoming as beguiled by bankers as Democrats had been. Nonetheless, black Americans, including Martin Luther King. Sr., remained loyal Republicans (until they became loyal Democrats).

Despite Presidential politics, Democrats were powerful in both the South and in urban centers of other parts of the country, winning over immigrants and unions (and therefore many workers generally). And, of course, they were all but omnipotent in the South, where they suppressed (to put it mildly) the black, mostly Republican, vote.

Over time, the Great Migration caused FDR to try to straddle between wooing the black vote for Democrats and holding the "Solid South" for Democrats. Next, it caused Democrats to put a civil rights plank into their 1948 platform.

In turn, the civil rights plank caused POS Strom Thurmond to lead a Dixiecrat revolt against the nominee of the Democrat Party, thereby threatening to cost Truman the "Solid South" and therefore, very possibly the election. Days later, Truman integrated the military by EO, citing his feelings about seeing black soldiers returning from WWII--which had ended over three years earlier, while Truman was President.

Of course, Truman was also facing opposition from six Presidential candidates beside Thurmond, including a former V.P. of FDR, Henry A. Wallace, on Truman's left. I haven’t been playing Axie Infinity that long now and forgot to migrate all of my Axies (I have 5 of them along with 110 SLP) to my Ronin wallet and now I can’t do any of the daily challenges, just adventure and arena modes. I even tried that bridge option but to no avail. So is my account an ebook weight now or is there still a way I can still transfer my assets to my Ronin Wallet?
