Conservatives attack David Johnston for including Maxim Bernier in the debates. However, it was Harper that appointed David Johnston as governor general and it was Harper that said "David Johnston represents the best of Canada."
So the Conservatives are unhappy that David Johnston allowed Maxime Bernier in the debates. They accuse Trudeau of his "hand-picked debate panel":
