A list of puns related to "Google Question Hub"
The title of the post is pretty self explanatory. Chris and Grace from Google with be answering questions from 1-2pm PST today in the Founder's Hub in the Google forum. They've ruled out roadmap and personal questions but everything else is fair game. Do you non-founders have any questions you'd like us founders to ask for you? Post them here.
Hey folks I'm considering buying a Google Home Hub. Looks like a cool device and will allow me to play Spotify audio throughout my house where I have Chromecast speakers attached.
My wife was asking if it had a Shopping List that you can see on the screen and also add to it either via voice or by typing directly in.
Anyone know the answer?
thanks
Hi Friends,
I was using this hub with a TiVo 4K Streamer with Ethernet:
UGREEN USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter Hub with RJ45 10 100 1000 Gigabit Ethernet Converter LAN Wired Network Adapter 3 Ports USB 3.0 Hub Compatible for MacBook iMac Surface Pro Chromebook Laptop PC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TWGHM99/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_CRZ36WC5BFJPX5AKB06B
However, when I tried to use with an OTG hub feeding power from Chromecast brick and plugging this hub via USB 3.0 in the other, the Chromecast doesn't register the hub or at least the wired connection.
Can someone explain why this might not be working? I understand that Google TV does have the AX88179 drivers. The Ugreen fat hub does work with Chromecast. Can someone explain why this won't be working? Or if you have it working somehow?
Thanks!
I have a dumb tv. I have a Chromecast conntected to it and Chromecast is plugged into wall outlet.
I have a Google Home Hub in the same room that I want to use to operate this tv.
Believe it or not, I've done this with two other tvs (in years past) but MS can play nasty with your cognitive and it's giving me fits right now :( I can't figure out how to add this Chromecast enabled tv to GH. I want to tell GHH to turn on/off the kitchen tv and when the input is in HDMI 1/Chromecast mode, be able to tell GHH to browse You Tube, etc.
Do I need to start with a smart outlet or will the CC suffice once someone tells me how to set it up? I need to start from scratch
Thanks!
So i received a google home hub for xmas and i decided to buy two lifx bulbs. I followed the instructions and they work and all but when i try to change both lights to a certain color using google home. Only one of them changes color while the other one stays the same.
Originally the names of the bulbs were βleftβ and βright.β Since my google home wonβt understand my βrightβ light i changed it to βcornerβ yet again, it wouldnβt change the color when i ask to change both lights. And when i do try to ask google to change βcornerβ light to another color it shows me βpictures that match.β But when i ask it to turn βcornerβ on and off it will turn it on and off.
The group name is βbedroomβ but for some reason it wouldnβt register if i ask it to turn on or off or change colors. Please help. Its driving me nuts!
Just got a Nest Hub for my wife and she loves it. Question: can you play Netflix on it? Doesnβt seem possible even though it allows you to link an account. Also, what other lesser-known features should I know about? Thanks
Hello all!
I am helping my girlfriend venture into the world of automation in her home and our first goal is to setup a Nest Hello Doorbell! The problem is that she doesn't currently have a doorbell so she doesn't have a chime. Will this be a problem if she has a google home hub? Will it chime from the hub?
We also don't have anything setup for electricity so we are thinking about getting one of these adapters.

Anyone have any experience with them?
Thanks for the help!
Hi Guys and Girls,
I think about making my Home into a SmartHome. And I want to get the Google Nest Hub for it.
Would it be possible to measure the Air moisture with it?
I just got one, and I'm slightly confused with how the camera works.
I already have the Nest Hello doorbell and a Nest outdoor cam, so I do know about "Nest Aware" service.
Here's where I'm confused. If I do not get the aware service, can I still pop in and see a live stream of my cam? The hub max is in the living room and I don't really want days of video in the cloud of everything we do in the room. All I want to be able to do is turn on the cam on occasion to check on my cats.
Anyone know what apps you cast and play on the GHH? So far I can confirm YouTube Hulu and HBO Go plays on the display.
Edit** What gives Netflix?!
Do you know guys if Google is planning to support Spanish in a near future? I'm happy using Home Hub in English, but my mother doesn't speak English at all.
Title says it all. Weβre most an Apple ecosystem and donβt really wish to introduce Google Home or Alexa. Is there a way to use voice commands on our iPhones for the hub?
Every morning around 6:10am, I hear clearly the volume adjustment sound on my Home Hub. I used to think it was me hearing things, but it happens every day shortly before my alarm goes off. It is one βclickβ just as youβd hear when you say βHey, Google, volume up.β Any ideas whatβs happening?
I have implemented a couple of basic activities using Google Home, Harmony Hub and IFTTT including "Turn on the TV" and "I cant find my cell phone". Super simple and fairly useful. My question is how can I create an activity on my Harmony Hub that will turn off my TV and associated devices? (cable box and Bose sound system). I spent a little time last night trying to work it out but ran out of time. Any input would be appreciated.
So I see the killer deal at Best Buy right now for a V2 SmartThings hub ($50), and would love to pick it up but I'm simply just not aware of what a ST Hub would add to my current setup. Trying to justify the purchase here.
I currently have a Google Home (and several mini's), Nest thermostat, a couple TP-Link switches, and Hue lights (with Hub/Bridge). I can currently control everything through my Google Home - aka, "Hey Google turn on/off the lights, turn the heat up, turn on/off the fan, etc".
So what would a SmartThings Hub bring to the equation here? What additional functionality would I get?
Thanks for any and all tips/advice!
Hopefully someone with a Home Hub can help me out with this, since I'm tempted to buy one as part of the black Friday deals going on! I've searched the subreddit (and googled it) but I haven't found a definitive answer.
I have a massive library on google photos (65k+ photos) and I would love to have the Hub just randomly slideshow through all of the photos in the library. I gather from reading reviews that you MUST select an album, you can't just have it show photos from the full library. Is that right?
And as a second question, which is my main one, can you select multiple albums? Or does it have to be just one album that the Hub shows you?
Thanks in advance!
OK, so for my birthday I'm being bought a Google Home Mini and a Harmony Hub (to replace my dying harmony remote).
I'm wanting to have 4 accounts on Google Home (myself, my wife & 2 kids, we all have Android devices), I've been looking into Harmony Hub. Is it possible for us to have a single Harmony account that's on all our devices and then link that single account to each of our individual Google Home accounts?
Is it possible to set up Google Home shortcuts (e.g. "hey google turn to MTV Music") on have them copied to another account? I was hoping to set up loads of shortcuts for Harmony Hub but have them work on all 4 accounts without me having to set them all up individually.
Apologies if these are simple questions, I've tried to investigate what I can before posting
Couple questions in this post, and they may be stupid....
I've had a lot of issues with my Google Wifi. Is this a mesh issue? I don't have the slightest clue and its incredibly frustrating.
Has anyone had issues with Google Home Hubs in speaker groups?
For context: I recently moved (and when I moved, I changed network SSIDs; all the same hardware, but by changing the SSID I obviously had to factory reset my google home devices). Before I moved, I had all my google home devices (a couple minis, a regular home, and 2 home hubs, all 1st gen) in a couple audio groups in my apartment. Some for rooms, some for areas, and a group for the entire apartment as well. Those groups always seemed to work as expected with both Spotify and Pocketcasts.
Now that I have moved, added all the devices to my new "home" and network, and created some groups (first floor, second floor, and both floors), the home hubs don't play any sound when being used in a group. The information from Spotify or Pocketcasts does come up on the screen to see, but nothing comes out of the speakers (and yes, I have checked, it is not a low volume issue).
Additional info: If casting directly to the home hubs, they work as expected; and if I start casting to a home hub, and then on the hub's screen change the cast to a group (that includes the home hub I am interfacing with), that group seems to work fine, including the home hub (unless it's the both floors group, in which case everything except the other home hub works correctly).
Probably a long shot, but does anyone have any ideas or experience with an issue like this? It would be quite a coincidence for it to be related to a software update that was released right as I moved, so I have to imagine there is something I can change, or a setting I messed up.
I have already factory reset both home hubs a few times, as well as deleting and recreating the audio groups without any change in behavior.
