A list of puns related to "Goodlife"
My partner has been telling me how uncomfortable some of the trainers make her feel when sheβs is working out, because these guys keep staring at her like some hungry animals. I told her to ignore them and to try to enjoy using the gym, because I know they will keep doing it. This is making her not wanting to go and train, so I decided to go with her and after I saw the guy literally tapping his clientβ shoulder for him to check on my partnerβs ass, I told him across the gym really loud to keep his eyes for himself and out of shame he did a stupid little laugh and left the station, this is not just one guy but multiple trainers at this location and I am looking around to see if there is anyone else that has experienced the same thing, since I am reporting this incident, to see if they can teach these guys how to respect people, clients and at least their job. Is almost 2022 and some guys still think that harassing women (while they are βworkingβ) is ok.
Edited: Thanks everyone for your responses, very good ideas, I am glad to see that most of the people understand the situation.
To clarify, I like the club and I think that this is an issue that needs to be solved, apart from that the gym is great .
At the end of the day just respecting others and being more empathetic, is the solution to most of the problems.
Some tried breaking into my car between 10-1130 at Goodlife Preston. They used a screwdriver and pryed the lock and door handle. Nothing of value was in it except a old fm transmitter. Fucking people.
I recently started going back to the gym after a couple years and I want to get into weight training but as a young woman, it can be intimidating sometimes. Any reasonably priced personal trainer recommendations or anyone who goes to Goodlife that can lend me a hand? Iβm not too interested in the personal trainer fees at Goodlife, but that would be my last resort!

... keep reading on reddit β‘I apologize for the lack of grammar on this post Itβs 3am and I gotta be up in 4 hours. Just wanted to type this out fast as I witnessed other complaints on here about this company. Anyways hereβs my story about a very well established gym chain all around Canada callled GoodLife. So I Spent $600 to become a certified personal trainer when I already was certified but they wanted me to spend my money to take the course that GoodLife offers. So I did the zoom classes 3 days a week for a whole 3 weeks and boom GoodLife trainers are now certified to train people. Literally only 3 weeks of the bare minimum learning muscles and how to sell packages and train clients. Anyways started work training people for 15 an hour and come to find out later on I only get that 15 an hour training clients. Every once in awhile they will pay minimum wage to prospect people. Literally harassing people on the floor during peopleβs workouts or calling them during people shift hours. Hereβs the best part if I wanted to make more then 15 an hour I would have to sell them a year package that would cost them almost $11,000. The more courses I take from the GoodLife institution the more I can make ONLY if I can sell these packages. Becoming a level 3 trainer I gotta sell a package thatβs worth $13,000. Level 4 trainer over $14,000 and a level 5 trainer is somewhere around $15-$16k heck maybe even $18k. Plus if I wanted to level up to these levels I would have to fly myself to Toronto pay for my own hotel and pay for the certification myself which I believe would have totalled around $5k and maybe just MAYBE they will reimburse you half the amount. Also what I loved is during the whole βyou can train clients but you canβt workoutβ really surprised me. But hey out of the five PTs I worked beside I was the only one that worked out. So if anyone in Canada is looking for a gym to train at or to hire a personal trainer go to an independent gym were the corporation isnβt going to take 70 percent of the earnings. Worst 3 months ever.
Edit: the PTs would grind 8-10 hour shifts but would only get paid for 4-6 of those hours. All PTs needed a second job to pay for bills. The most I made in 2 weeks working at GoodLife was $725 and that was pulling 10 hour shifts 6 days a week whiling watching people die inside seeing how much it cost for the Personal training packages.
Edit 2: Every hour of my day I would receive a call or text about one of my prospects cancelling so Iβll have to give them a ca

I paid for my corporate membership in full & recently signed up at a new gym for 3 months while GL is closed. Will they allow me to freeze for free while I go to the other gym?
Currently looking into possibly switching gyms from my current one @ Planet Fitness (Westdale Mall) and was wondering how busy is the GoodLife in Heartland? Iβd also like to know what is the mask situation like at the gym. Is it non-existent. Iβve noticed at my gym that some ppl donβt even wear them at all and Iβm curious as to how the employees even let them in as it is a rule.
Thanks in advance
PSA as noted above.
Since the Gyms reopened in Ontario, Goodlife sent a note saying the first bill would be slightly different vs normal due to the timing of the freeze, closures, etc.
Checked earlier this week and I had a $210+ preauthorized charge on my account for no reason (I'm on a grandfathered $23 biweekly plan). Went in to Goodlife to ask what's going on and they said a bunch of people have had the same issue and to call the service #.
1-800-387-3524 is what I was given - open only on weekdays so I haven't verified by calling yet but I recommend making sure the charge doesn't slip through if you got it!
Goodlife needs to get their shit together.
P.S. it seems now if you want to keep the freeze going despite it reopening they will bill you $5 biweekly during the freeze too. Fun.
Hi, just checking to see if anyone else has this issue: I enrolled for a yearly membership on Dec 31, 2019. Used the gym until March 15, 2020. GoodLife kept sending me messages that my membership is on hold until August 31, 2021 (due to the pandemic) And now my membership is up for renewal on December 31, 2021. I feel like I still have until May 31, 2022(for a full 12 month term) as Iβve only had access to the gym for 7 months. Reached out to the gym several times but no response.
Update: The day after I posted this, I received an email from GoodLife sorting out the issue. Thank you Kali, if youβre reading this.
Just checked the app and all GoodLife classes I can see in Toronto now have much higher capacity. Studios with classes of 12 people are now showing 28, 17 have gone to 42. Enjoy
Hello,
I've been vaping Goodlife's Deadly/Deadliest Sin for the last 8-9 years. They recently shut down and I am struggling hard to find a replacement. I'm not sure if it takes a few bottles to get used to a new juice or what but everything I've tried just isn't cutting it for me. These new juices either tickle my throat and throw me into a coughing fit or make my lungs feel like death the next morning. It might be the vg/pg ratios but I'm not sure. I don't "lung hit" when I vape, I do the mouth-inhale thing like a cigarette. I see most people lung hitting like a bong these days and imagine juices are tailored around that type of vaping now. I've tried all the Coastal Clouds and BSX series brand dessert flavors my local shops have so far. The closest I've found a replacement is the BSX Decadent Pound Cake but my lungs feel like death the next day so I don't think I can do this one long term.
Please help!
I know this is a silly question - most would say neither, however I do prefer to do my workouts in a gym setting.
I currently have a GL membership (old corp membership) paying 45/month, but im being offered a LA membership for 35/month - obviously the price is better, but how is the gym experience between the 2?
I find GL is pretty wide open, but you can tell some of the equipment is getting dated...
Hi all,
Today I signed up for the 6 month 2x a week training with GoodLife. I've heard horror stories, but after doing some research and talking to the trainer for over an hour and hearing about their fitness journey I decided to join. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with personal training from goodlife? I'm at a regular at the gym but want to take my fitness to the next level.
Edit: gonna cancel the PT today. Really thought about it and decided it's not worth it. I'll continue and GoodLife for cardio machines, but for strength training PT go to another gym with an 8 week program.
Take a look at the Goodlife Collection and feel free to invest. Let's make XPR pump!

I've been going to a private gym for a while but I need to start going somewhere closer. I live walking distance to both GoodLife and Movati. I have experience with GoodLife.
I'm looking for feedback on people who have gone to both. The main selling point for Movati for me right now is the pool.
Thanks
Iβm originally from Toronto and when I was last home for a visit turns out a ton of the Goodlife gyms in the city have returned to their 24hr business hours.
I live downtown Ottawa and the Queen Street location along with Rideau Centre have yet to returned to their pre-covid hours. Iβve had to get an Anytime Fitness membership simply because the overcrowded Rideau location seriously triggers my anxiety! If you donβt go at the PERFECT time youβll undoubtedly be fighting for squat racks or an open space to do your workout.
Anytime isnβt any better in terms of racks (and space, they are waaay smaller) but at least Iβm able to go at 11pm when hardly anyone else is there!
Does anyone have any info on when goodlife might be going back to their βregularβ hours in Ottawa?
From GoodLife email: βWe are pleased to announce that all GoodLife Clubs in the province will reopen for indoor workouts on Friday, July 16!
Clubs in Ontario will reopen at 50% capacity. All Ontario Clubs will operate without workout bookings for the General Workout Floor.
This means that - provided there is capacity available on the general workout floor - you will be able to walk in and work out during the Club's hours of operation.β
Iβm looking forward to going back but not sure how many times I can handle βsorry, weβre fullβ and/or βwait in line for who knows how longβ.
Though I heard an employee saying that they require vaccination to keep their job when I was leaving the gym today. Can anyone that works there confirm that itβs true? Maybe there was some internal email or something that was sent out.
Hey, Ricky here. I go to GoodLife Metrotown 6 times a week. Currently self-motivated but I'm assuming it can only bring me so far. Would be nice to know if there are people also in GoodLife or thinking of going to GoodLife to co-motivate and push together. Maybe we can be gym buddies? :)
Goodlife just released an email letting their members know they are pushing for the government to open up at Stage 2, under nonessential retail with 25% capacity and maintaining all protocol.
Goodlife stated how if you wish to push for this, you can email your MPP your request for the gym to be reevaluated to stage 2 for opening.
What are your guys thought for it being brought up?
edit: for anyone who isnβt with goodlife but would like to support this, https://www.ola.org/en/members?utm_source=Campaign&utm_medium=Email&deliveryName=DM12059
If you follow that link, you can find your MPP in your area and you may email them requesting gyms to open in stage 2 under nonessential retail.
Second edit: email copy and pasted for any interested.
Dear Valued Member, As Ontario vaccination rates continue to climb and COVID-19 cases trend in the right direction, there are plenty of reasons for optimism in the province. The entire GoodLife family celebrates our collective progress and is so thankful and appreciative for our Membersβ patience and support.
However, the fact remains that the pandemic recovery has stalled for you, and for millions of other people in Ontario who rely on the fitness industry for the betterment of their lives.
Our team has been working diligently for many months with medical experts, public health and various levels of government to establish a responsible indoor fitness reopening that meets or exceeds all public health and safety standards. We have submitted extensive safety-focused proposals that would have accomplished this goal. There have also been several collaborative meetings with government decision-makers, and we look forward to continuing our tireless efforts with them.
Unfortunately, when Ontarioβs reopening path was announced on May 20, like many of you, we were very disappointed to learn that gym closures would be extended a minimum of two additional months, and not only in hotspot areas, but across the entire province. This approach to reopening was chosen despite the evidence showing that compared with the vast majority of industries, the fitness industry is equally, if not more effective at reducing the risk of community spread when proper protocols are followed.
It is time to help our Members rebuild their physical and mental health and get our 8,000+ Associates back to work, so that we can all begin to recover from this pandemic.
That is why I am writing you today. The time has come to

we can go at any time, I usually go at 5am, 2pm or 9pm because that's when the gym is the emptiest, but I can go at any time really, even at 6pm if you want, but I normally don't go at that time because it's packed
we can keep our conversations to a minimum, and focus more on training if that helps ease the anxiety at the beginning
