A list of puns related to "Glass etching"

I made a mistake and originally installed non-tempered. I ordered a glass assembly to reglaze my windows with tempered glass, required by my building dept for bathroom.
I specifically requested tempered glass and tempered glass etching. Does this ANSI and CFR numbers mean it is tempered? Google tells me it is just impact rated, nothing about tempered.
Thank you
I've been messing around with the glowforge but I can't really dial down the settings I need, when ever I do some glass etching I always get some streaks in the glass, and even doing a second pass doesn't really get rid of them.
Hey guys,
Iβm trying to etch some glass beads using 4M NaoH, at 100 degrees for 120 minutes. However, to my surprise I found that the glass beads are not being etched, and something is forming/depositing a layer, more like a coating on the glass beads. I have tried this several times playing around with my factors (NaOH conc, time and temp). The result is still the same.
I even enquired with the suppliers to ask if the beads were coated by any chance. But, they guaranteed it wasnβt and the only thing that they do is some HF treatment to clean the beads (just agitate the beads in HF for couple of minutes). Hence, I requested them to supply me some beads without HF treatment and I found out that it is still getting coated, but, the coating is comparatively less.
Almost all the literature says NaOH is corrosive to glass! How come itβs not corroding glass beads?
I would like to know if anyone has faced the same problem or has any idea what Iβm dealing with here?
Thanks guys!
Hi all! So, I have been trying some designs on wine glasses and whiskey snifters and have run into a couple of problems I have not been able to figure out.
Thanks for any help!
Does anyone do glass etching?
I have some Pyrex glass measuring cups that I've used so often, the printed numbering has worn off. Yes, I could buy new ones, but these are still in good condition. Plus I've had them for 15+ years.
Anyway, could someone recommend a place/person who could etch accurate measurements into the sides?
Thank you
What does people use for glass etching? I've seen the Armour etching but can only get that online and its a little pricy. I've heard of people use rustoleum tub & tile etching cream but I can't find this in any stores, is there an alternative to the rustoleum I'm not seeing or is there something else like this I can buy to etch glasses?

Hey there, brand new car and I'm stuck on how to I remove what I believe is water etching or adhesive? It's only noticeable when the glass is semi wet (so basically any really humid day with condensation) or when about to dry. After the glass is completely dry, I can't notice it. It really sucks trying to drive in the morning trying to look through it.
I've tried stoners, 2 bucket wash, vinegar, detail spray w/ clay, and goo gone and nothing seems to remove it.
I'm hoping I am missing a product that will remove this easily as the entire glass roof has it as well as front and rear.
Thoughts?
I would like to try glass etching and I'm looking for recommendations for etching creams. All the videos that I watched on the topic used Armour Etch but that seems to be really hard to find in Europe so I thought I ask here for some alternatives.
