A list of puns related to "Girl in a Wetsuit"
Just a little rant. Iβve just had a baby and I had no idea how gendered things still were in the world of kids. Thereβs a convenient baby shop near us that has everything and we go there a lot, except for clothing, ALL of which is divided into gendered sections. I browse both sections for clothing but I have no interest in buying her super-cliche gendered stuff from either range, so I get stuff online.
I browsed out of curiosity yesterday through the swimwear sections of both genders to look for a wetsuit for her, she wonβt need one for good few months, but I found there to be no wetsuits in the girls section. Only pink and frilly one-pieces. I didnβt like the style of the shark themed wetsuits in the boys section. But really? Girls donβt need wetsuits in this world?
Thanks
Works every time. My mates LOVE me.
I'm thinking of picking up this trisuit on sale: https://www.2xu.com/us/p/performfullzip-sleeved-trisuit/MT5525d-BLK_SBP-S.html#start=1
What's the consensus on swimming with just a trisuit on with no wetsuit? I know people usually roll their suits down and have their wetsuits cover their torso. Or would it be better to go with separates and change into a top in T1 if I'm not wearing a wetsuit?
Hi, I am aiming to complete my first Oly in May and I am starting to research wetsuits. I was thinking about renting one but since I hope to do more triathlons in future I think I will just buy one. I have been reading about the wetsuits that are more buoyant in the legs than upper body and I would like to purchase one of these as I need all the help I can get with the swim. Does anybody have any recommendations for entry level wetsuits like this? Thanks
I mean, it's right there in the title. I'll be paddling in cooler temps for the first time later this month and wearing a wetsuit, and I'm just not sure how to go about peeing. The wetsuit I'll be wearing zips up the back, and there is no flap or anything at the crotch. Many divers and surfers just pee in their wetsuits, but that doesn't seem appealing while in the boat.
Seems like the best option is to skip the beer for this paddle trip and just stop and get out of the water whenever I need to heed nature's call. I can't imagine getting the wetsuit undone enough to pee in a cup and dump it in the water while still in the boat. Has anyone come up with a better solution than stopping every now and then and peeing on the shore?
When i'm in a pool, or in a very cold lake/ocean, i find it to be much easier to freedive in it than in lakes/rivers that are cold and warm.
While i was freediving in the warm/cold lake, i barely could stay underwater for 30s. I was disappointed and i thought all this training was for no reason. Until in 3hrs we went to the pool and o easily stayed down there for 2 minutes at least.
And when i go to the cold salt water area near me, i could easily stay down at least for a minute while diving deep for crabs.
Does anyone know the reason why this happens?
Hello. I recently got a wetsuit and I want to keep it for long distance as much as possible. From your experience, would I damage it less hanging it on a big collar in half (like so: http://i.imgur.com/v4sOYQ8.jpg), or rather folding then placing it on my cupboard shelf? (like so: http://i.imgur.com/ISF5lDc.jpg)
One option puts pressure on a specific point as the wetsuit's weight pulls down from each side, whereas the other option lastingly has the wetsuit folded in several areas...
Thanks!

Always, sometimes or never.
Personally, I hate pissing in my 4:3 because it feels like it lingers too long, but if the surf is firing and I canβt hold it, then...
Looking to buy a new suit to get back into barefooting this season, but every site that ships to Canada seems to be in USD with wild conversion and shipping charges. Anybody know of any better options to buy in Canada? Thanks in advance!
Wondering what other women do for race day apparel for each leg? Iβve done an oly and a 70.3 so far, and still looking for the optimal clothing combinations for comfort and performance. Would be interested in hearing your suggestions around both type of kit and brands.
So far, Iβve tried:
Note that the only βtri specificβ pieces of gear are the shorts and the stretchy laces.... everything else is (marketed as) uni-sport. Iβm interested in finding a better top option for all 3 legs and any other low hanging fruit. What do you wear/like/recommend??
I'm looking to buy my first wetsuit. I'm on the east coast of central Florida and will mostly be diving in southeast Florida. So I'm looking for something in the 3mm range. The problem I'm having is sizing. I'm 6'4" and about 180-190 lbs (depends on my beer consumption). I found one store/retailer that offers a size that would fit but am looking for some suggestions.
Hey guys,
I live on the south island of New Zealand where in winter the water drops to around 8-10deg C (48deg f)
Two years ago I bought the Needessentials 5/4 which was awesome for that first season, I used that for about 4 months that first year and then was in a 3/2.
The following year, it wasnβt good enough to keep me warm like the first year and I noticed a lot of leaks around the legs and crotch. By the end of winter I was freezing my arse off during sessions.
Note that I do wear a hooded vest under the wetsuit as well as boots. And I surf probably 2-3 times a week on average in winter.
In your experience is this a pretty standard lifespan for a suit in cold water?
I need to buy a new one for this upcoming winter and wonder if itβs actually worth paying over 2x the price of a Needessentials to get two years out of it?

You can let me know if you want to visit more than once as well. This is completley free, tips are fine if you feel compelled. As for the wetsuit and bamboo I can pay for both in bells or perfect oranges!
Next time board ready and wetsuit on before lighting up. Other than that stoned surfing is pretty sweet.
I usually surf around northern California, and I run cold. I wear a 4/3 wetsuit with 5mm booties and gloves, and perhaps a hood if it's an especially cold day.
I've been surfing recently in Costa Rica (Tamarindo) and Mexico (Puerto Vallarta) over the winter and I realized that it just wasn't warm enough for me to stay out very long with just my board shorts. The wind would really get me and I'd start shivering even on warm days!
So I'm going to Hawaii in May and figure I should get some kind of wetsuit top (likely long sleeve), but now I'm not sure what kind of thickness top I need. Seems like there are some 1.5mm and 3mm, but not seeing many 2mm around which is what I expected I'd need.
Anyone else wear wetsuit tops in Hawaii? Do you wear them all day or just in morning/evening?
Hii! Iβm looking for those items cause I really need them rn and I never get them for some reason, maybe just bad luck ahaha Iβm willing to pay in bells or trade for perfect fruit! Mineβs peaches! Thank you! βΊοΈ

I recently bought a thicker wetsuit, and was thinking about mixing up layers for a better control of temperature and to wear less weight. Which makes me wonder, is it warmer to wear the thicker part under (pants/trousers) or over (as vest)?
I would think that the core is covered by the same thickness in both cases, but with more material in the vest it might be warmer, as the head is better covered?
Has anyone tried this?
