Within a week I've landed myself a union job, earning literally double the weekly pay AFTER TAXES (granted, longer hours).
I worked in a tiny team of four - five if you include the accountant. "Like family" as my boss liked to say. I left on good terms and got no leaving dinner, no thank you, nothing. Great family!
I wasted 4.5 years - busting my ass mind you, even doing things that were technically illegal - for the bare minimum wage. $0.10/hour per year pay rise.
Again, just to reiterate, in 2020 I delivered enough furnifure to net her over a million dollars after tax and expenses (I had access to all the books, being a small shop).
Don't be me. Don't wait 4.5 years and gain no real skills, wasting your life for someone who doesn't even remotely appreciate you.

Why YSK: In your order history for Amazon you can check to see if any e-gift vouchers that you have purchased for other people have been redeemed.
It will say Sent if it is unredeemed and say Received if it has been used!
It might be good to remind the original recipient that it's there, maybe it's been lost and they didn't feel right telling you.

I'm looking to take my S+ exam in Spring next year. I'm thinking about buying the basic bundle from the CompTIA store that gives a retry if I blow my first attempt at the test. I'm interested if such option will exist in the near future, at least for your customers in Europe. The anonimity of the account should be kept and I can have a good paying method, other than crypto, which I don't enjoy using any longer. I assume the hidden code from the gift card cannot trace back the buyer's identity even if a credit card or some paypal account was used to buy the gift card. I know, there's the money in an envelope option, but boy, it is risky the way I see it. And it's not possible to send euros, but only $ 💰✉️
Would you be offended if you receive vouchers or gift cards for Christmas?
I was at an association dinner a few years ago where we were all given a £10 Ticketmaster gift card (there were about 10 £50 vouchers given out randomly, and a further couple of £100 vouchers). I had a£10 voucher.
As the afternoon went on people moved away from their tables, but left things like the vouchers and personal effects on their tables as they chatted nearby and in the bar.
I confronted someone who I saw going from table to table talking peoples gift cards. He took mine and I saw him do it, so I asked him to return it. He denied taking it (he was quite drunk) and refused to return it. However, I know what I saw!!
Trouble is, this person is a good friend of a good friend of mine and an acquaintance of several colleagues. I have known of him for years, but have little to do with him. He’s projected by all who know him to be very professional and an expert in his field (Project and Programme Management).
We have worked in the same circles and people seem to look up to this chap. However, I will never be able to have the same view of him. I can’t change what happened, but it does affect social gatherings from time to time as our social circles overlap and I have to socialise with him every now and then. He’s otherwise perfectly decent, but what would you do just grin and bear it or avoid avoid (or something else)?
I can’t bear my friends/colleagues gushing about him!!

Why YSK: If you want to gift something like a helicopter ride, call your local airfield. There will likely be a pleasure flight operator there who will charge a fraction of the price of buying a gift voucher from a store. Same goes for spa days etc, just find a spa and book directly. The voucher operators add no value and take a massive cut.
