A list of puns related to "Geronimo (name)"
NOTICE 2: ...or is there? If there is, then should we be concerned about it? Here's a lengthy rebuttal I got. Yeah, I may be overly politically correct in some areas because I'm paranoid. Because of this, if you have common sense and are not going to discriminate against others, please make your own mind about how you perceive and treat the Geronimo Stilton series. I am not asking for the series to be "canceled".
NOTICE 1: If you are about to downvote this post because you think I'm being too politically correct, I want to say that I don't like being politically correct, but I also want to say that racism has no place in the present day.
I was reading a Thea Stilton book from the library one day when I came over to the last page and saw an emblem of the Thea Sisters, which had Violet, a Chinese mouse, with slit-shaped eyes. As a Chinese person who liked how there was Chinese representation, I was wholly offended. After that, I scrutinized the illustrations in the later books and tried to find if Violet's eyes were shaped to be thinner. Maybe they were, though that could be excused to be an innocent attempt at depicting Asian anatomy accurately (slit-shaped eyes definitely have no excuse).
In Thea Stilton and the Blue Scarab Hunt (yes, that book which had some controversy for its first version excluding Israel in the map, in case you didn't know yet), Violet is shown wearing a stereotypical Asian conical hat. This could be excused as an innocent depiction of Chinese culture, but I was annoyed. (Some of the Sisters' hats could also be stereotypes, but Violet's conical hat stands out.)
Have I mentioned Violet appears to be the "smart Asian" stereotype? Her article on the Geronimo Stilton Wiki states, "She seems to follow the Asian kid stereotype, since she knows how to play the violin and piano, is very much into the arts (music, dance, painting, drawing and theater), reads and studies a lot, knows multiple languages (English, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese), plays board games like chess and checkers to the point where she is an expert at said games, and achieves impressive academic feats, like winning a scholarship for her art class in Holland and touring as a violinist for a production of Romeo and Juliet in the London theater." She may also have traits of the rude Asia

My husband threw this name out during our name search for our second child (sex still unknown), and my 2.5 year old daughter took to it and has since called my pregnant belly Geronimo. It started as a silly name but is becoming so normal, Iβve lost perspective on whether itβs too weird. Iβm a little worried it sounds like a cultural appropriation name (though the Apache leader was actually named Goyathlay, and was called Geronimo by the Spanish, and now history- but do I really want my kid to have to explain this his whole life?). Curious what others think when they hear Geronimo?
(We have said, if this baby comes out quick and easy like a parachuter jumping out of an airplane, it may just be his destined name, however silly).
#Alien-Nation Chapter 68: Geronimo
βOh- MY! GODDESS!β Natalie shouted, and then let out a whoop of glee as we rolled down the hill, faster and faster. The extreme rake and trail kept the bike stable at even low speed, and I didnβt slow as we rounded the corner, leaning into it hard.
Riding felt like a lot of things. It felt like a release. Like we could go anywhere together.
The wind going through my hair, I forgot about everything. I forgot about the invasion. About being Emperor. About the knife, about the killings, the scent of blood, both alien and human. The fears, the memories, the stresses, they all faded away as we crested the small hill and, like a thrill seeker on a roller coaster, plunged downward into the valley below. The creek turned the air moist as we coasted further and further down. I felt the bike sing to me, the metal responding to each push and the way I leaned. Another hill to crest loomed ahead, but nothing I couldnβt handle.
She breathed in as I stood on the pedals and pumped my legs as hard as I could, the bike frame swaying under the effort. Again, we came close to running out of speed and gears, but we made it to the zenith- and she peeked over my shoulder at the extreme descent before us. βOh no- oh my goodness- Eliassss!β She grabbed my shoulders tight. This was the final descent, a speed that would make the leaves blur together as we shot down in a straight line toward the corner at the valley floor.
βGeronimoooo!β I bellowed, and we rolled down again, the wind deafening as it whipped past our ears. We made it down as safely as a pair of careening teenagers on a bicycle, built by an alien who had never seen anything like it before, down a neglected old roadβs hill without helmets in the late evening possibly could, which is to say βitβs a miracle we survived.β
I saw the slight shadow loom ahead- and jerked the handlebars and leaned left, then right. The bike veered around the pothole, and Natalie screamed at the top of her lungs in terror as the bike wobbled. I let the βswayβ of the bike move us back and forth across both lanes, then going wide left and cutting the apex on a right

Geronimo was a warrior of the Apache tribe, one of North America indigenous peoples. His mother, his wife, and his three sons were slaughtered by Mexican soldiers; he thus then made a bold speech and proceeded to exact his revenge on the Mexican army as a βwarriorβ. An excellent warrior, he was burned by the desire for revenge more than anything else; it is said that he would fight Mexican soldiers even if his spear is broken, his arrows exhausted, armed only with a knife all the while stained red from the blood of his enemies. Hereafter the panicked Mexican soldiers screamed βGeronimo!β (Saint Jerome, a holy man who was famed to have fought like a lion), his name thus changed to Geronimo.

>Geronimo: Hit an opponent with a Plunging Attack after plunging for more than 5 seconds.
Where is a good place to do that without driving yourself insane? There aren't that many places that allow for 5 second plunges (I assume that means plunge attacks?)
and
>Der FreischΓΌtz: Strike an opponent's weak point from extremely far away with an Aimed Shot.
How far is "extremely far away" because I keep trying and nah.
When I was a kid I always read Geronimo Stilton. They were my comfort books and still have the whole collection that I want to give to my kids to read in the future. They hold a special place for me!
I was wondering if any of you might know of a series that has more or less the same vibe to Geronimo Stilton.
A shy, quiet, introverted mouse who often went on wild adventures with friends. I've always wondered if there might be anything like that but for adults?
