A list of puns related to "Gambino crime family"
As the son of the late Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes, crime has been my lifeβs work. From 1989 until 1994, I worked in the Manhattan District Attorneyβs office investigating and prosecuting high profile cases. In 1994, I opened a criminal defense firm and represented all sorts of criminal defendants.
In 2001, I returned to the prosecution side at the request of then Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro. There I worked on cases as diverse as the sexual abuse scandal at The New York Archdiocese to the prosecution of The Gambino crime family. In 2002, I was assigned to be the lead investigating prosecutor in the re-investigation of the disappearance Kathleen Durst (HBO documentary The Jinx).
For the last 10 years I have been writing and producing for television. I have written on HBOβs Perry Mason, USAβs Dirty John, Starzβ Power Book 2: Ghost and others.
Currently I am hosting a podcast about one of my highest profile cases People v. Jones. Heeled: The Curious Case of Marla Trumpβs Shoes is certainly the most bizarre true crime case I have encountered. I think youβll love it.
From true crime to TV writing and anything in between, ask me anything!

I know they're sort of a hush-hush thing around here, but I'm at my wit's end.
We've been paying "protection" fees to Jimmy and his hustlers for months ever since we touched down in Lower Duck Pond. But where were they when we were robbed last month, or when one of our customers was assaulted last week?
I'd stop paying them, but I honestly worry about what would happen to me. I heard a rumor that strange disappearance happened because he fell too much in debt to Tommy Gambino. And the Cadillac that the second grade teacher Ms. Myserson drives was because she gave Donny "Two Pinkies" daughter an A+ on her spelling test.
What can we do? Do they control this town?

One additional defendant pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return. The proceedings were held before United States Magistrate Judge Roanne L. Mann.

Seth D. DuCharme, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, announced the guilty pleas.
βWith these guilty pleas, a dozen members and associates of the Gambino crime family are held accountable for committing a litany of crimes in the construction industry that enriched the Mafia at the expense of the American taxpayer, construction companies harmed by their pernicious presence and the U.S. government,β stated Acting United States Attorney DuCharme. βThe defendants will now have to pay the consequences for their corrupt activities.β Mr. DuCharme expressed his grateful appreciation to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office, the Internal Revenue Service- C

Seth D. DuCharme, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, announced the guilty plea.
βWith todayβs guilty plea, Tuccio has been convicted of an offense arising from his efforts to extort a local businessman by brazenly chasing him through the streets and then setting his car ablaze,β stated Acting United States Attorney DuCharme. βThis Office, together with our partners at the FBI, will continue to vigorously investigate and prosecute members and associates of organized crime to eradicate the danger they pose to our community.β Mr. DuCharme thanked the Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office, the New York City Police Department and the New York City Fire Departmentβs Bureau of Fire Investigation for their outstanding work on the case.
In 2015, a businessman who had been extorted by a captain in the Gambino Organized Crime Family (referred to in court filings as βCo-Conspirator 1β) for many years, began avoiding Co-Conspirator 1 in an effort to stop making the $400 annual payment. On December 3, 2015, Tuccio, co-defendants Jonathan Gurino and Gino Gabrielli, who were charged in a separate indictment, observed the businessman leave a smoke shop in Howard Beach, New York and drive away in his 2014 Mercedes Benz. The three men then followed the businessman at a high rate of speed through the streets of Queens and confronted him outside a pizzeria, where Tuccio mentioned Co-Conspirator 1 and commented on the businessmanβs car. Tuccio and his co-defendants schemed to set the businessmanβs car on fire, sending a message that he had to continue making the extortion payments to Co-Conspirator 1. Later that night, the businessman heard a loud noise and saw that his car was on fire outside of his residence. The businessmanβs security video system recorded Gabrielli pouring a substance on the car, the car erupting in flames, and Gabrielli running away with his pant leg on fire. Shortly thereafter, Gabrielli and Tuccio were caught on surveillance video entering J

For Gambino crime-family associate Battista (Benny the Blade) Geritano, it's been nothing but bad news of late, or maybe, make that worse news. Sentenced to 78 months in federal prison last year for sending his attorney threats from jail. Using the jail mail he threaten to behead his former lawyerβs son. He was returned to state lockup to complete the 12 year sentence he got for a brutal Brooklyn barroom stabbing back in December of 2012. Geritanoβs sentences will run consecutively.
Geritano allegedly stabbed Nunzio Fusco twice in the gut and once in the shoulder as the two fought inside Bay Ridge lounge Nouveau during the early-morning hours. Geritano had beat charges of knifing the owner of a popular Brooklyn pizza joint Lucali almost two years previous to this.
He once callously risked his ex-gal palβs life playing a twisted game of Russian roulette, Brooklyn federal prosecutors say.
βAmong other things, the sentencing letter details numerous alleged acts of domestic violence [Geritano] committed against two women, including a sexual assault, a stabbing, menacing with a knife and razor blade, death threats, and incident involving Russian roulette, and repeated acts of witness intimidation,β the court papers claim.
He allegedly stabbed the Lucali restaurant owner, Mark Iacono, in a dispute over a woman, but the case fell apart when Iacono refused to testify against his former friend.
