What the title says... Has anyone had any experience with small, edible fish in their aquaponics setup?
I think that once people start raising small, fast growing and easily processed fish (no filetting, just dip in flour and then throw in the pan) it could be a turning point in aquaponics.

And this is the kind of fish I'm thinking of.
It began as it always did. You, opening your eyes, and not knowing where you were.
Your body stood in the middle of a meadow. The wind fluttered lazily, the scent of freshwater running through it. Your shadow stretched long behind you, aching to understand what this place was. You could not help but feel something was off about the scenery. The meadow was astonishingly green… coming just higher than your ankles, the grass rustled with the slight breeze. You could see specklings of birds flying above your head. There, nestled in the horizon was the dwindling light of the sun. The sun rays gave you a sense of protection, even though they were sparse. With the sunset, the once pure white of the clouds had settled into delicate pinks and resembled the fluffy flesh of a ripe peach.
Looking down at yourself, everything seemed to be normal… but your clothes were different. Against your skin lay a soft tunic, the colour of beige. The sleeves fell just past your elbows; the hem of your shirt, asymmetrical, dipping to a point over your right hip. You wore trousers in the same beige hue. They were loose, billowing with large amounts of gathered fabric, then they wrapped tightly midway down your calves. On your feet, dark brown laced ankle boots. A belt plaited to look like twine was snug across your waist, hanging from it was a pouch, embroidered with a diagram of what appeared to be a dissected flower in scarlet thread. Draped over your collarbones and around your shoulders was a simple scarf of clay red. It smelt faintly of an autumn you longed to forget. Every single garment was crafted beautifully, tailor-made to the exact measurements of your body. How? Who had done this for you?
Though some distance away, you spied an old stone bridge, which crossed a river. On the other side lay a thick forest. All you could see was the forest; all there was… was the forest. Dark and foreboding. You had to decide whether to cross the bridge or stay in the meadow. You thought quietly for a moment. Accessing your surroundings, there was nothing but miles of green land. Far off in the distance were the peaks of mountains. Too far to reach before the sun went down. Mountains would bring nothing of value. What could you do with a mountain? And so, you paced towards the bridge, believing somehow crossing over, you would recognise this new place and navigate your way home.

To be a bit more specific, I’m looking for something that can evoke the same feelings/atmosphere as the second half Puparia, which is one of my favorite pieces of media, I especially love the alien world and character that stars in it towards the end. If you’ve never seen Puparia before, it’s only 3 minutes long and free on Youtube, I highly suggest you check it out, it’s an amazing work of art!
A few of the notes I’m thinking of are spice, clay/minerals, some sort of aquatic (freshwater or saltwater) and maybe a red or blue musk (though I’ve never smelt either, they just match the color scheme of the video 😅).
Of course if you watch Puparia and it reminds you of a completely different kind of perfume, please still share, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
A/N: Hey, guys! So, I've got family visiting this week, and I've been spending most of my days with them, and that hasn't left me with a whole lot of time or energy to write, but I have been striving to maintain the habit of writing. I've been doing some work on Episode 17, but most of that writing involves a lot of figurative heavy lifting with wrapping everything in Act III up and tying it all together in sensible fashion, and I haven't had the energy to make much progress on that (though special thanks to r/SemperRabbit, he's been a HUGE help with some important details).
That said, I have been plugging away at the next episode of A Submariner in Space. It's a lot easier to write right now, mostly because I don't have nearly as many characters or as much plotting or back story to deal with. Retreat, Hell is still going to be my main focus, but between family visits and work, I'm not expecting to have the next episode finished until well into September.

Mark slowly drifted back to consciousness, pulled there by several soft beeps and tones, at least one of which was keeping time with his hear. Am I in a hospital? Why am I … Was that a dream?

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
