This is not a unique thread, ha. Sorry in advance. I’m looking to rent a parking spot in the Frederick Mall/Lancaster area. We only have one parking spot and two cars. Winter is Coming. 😬 Street parking is not going to cut it. Any tips cheaper than city lots? 🀞

How're we doing r/Phish? It's my distinct honor to be your host for the big return of the Dinner and a Movie series. To kick off this weekend's Thanksgiving DAAM Extravaganzaβ„’, we have night one of the Clifford Ball, the inaugural Phish festival. It's been a long time since I've given the Clifford Ball shows a spin so I'm very excited for this weekend's shows. The videos of a handful of songs from the festival were among the things that most helped solidify my love for this band as a freshman in college. I'm going to to be giving the Clifford Ball soundcheck a watch before we get started and highly recommend you do too if you've never seen it before!

Where's everyone checking in from tonight? What are you eating and imbibing? I'm coming at you live from Canton, MD and am having some beers from Pherm Brewing, a Phish-named brewery in Gambrills, MD that I've been digging on lately. Drop a comment if you'll be making any of the New Year's Run Shows, I'll be there the 30th and would love to meet up with some folks for my first solo show at MSG. FINALLY, what in the hell did everyone think of that Fall Tour? I'm in the process of relistening and just finished up Santa Barbara and knowing what's looming in Vegas, I can pretty confidently say it was my favorite tour they've played since 2003. I hope everyone enjoys tonight, and as always, thank you for allowing me to be your ~cosmic~ guide for the evening.

Check-in's - Baltimore, MD, Winooski, VT, Lancaster, PA, Big Flats, MI, En Route to Keller, TX, Roanoake, VA, Denver, CO, San Diego, CA, Weekapaug, RI, Osaka, Japan, Destin, FL, Alpharetta, GA, Frederick, MD, Boston, MA, Kihei, HI, Las Vegas, NV, Sacr

Looking for a Peter Muller who lived on Locust st.

I won't get more specific than that for doxxing reasons; we live in your house now. Received mail from Europe addressed to you and there's no return address, so I can't just dump in the mailbox with "return to sender". (It looks like a nice letter/card. I can spend a few minutes trying to send it on its way)

Anyone know a Peter Muller who lived on Locust st. (between Frederick and Victoria, east of Lancaster)?

Summary of Her Majesty’s Government (1965-1970) | The Swastika’s Shadow

Overview

Although the second half of the '60s was relatively uneventful, the '70s have begun with a bang in the form of the South African War. Additionally, there is increasing dissatisfaction among the Liberals as Macmillan has been slowly replacing the Liberals in the Government with Conservatives. Now with the new crisis that the Empire has entered into Macmillan's seven years in office may be coming to an end.

Cabinet

Prime Minister: Harold Macmillan (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain: The Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor (Liberal; 1956-1968), The Viscount Hailsham (Conservative; 1968-Present)

Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal: The Viscount Hailsham (Conservative; 1963-1968), The Earl Jellicoe (Conservative; 1968-Present)

Chancellor of the Exchequer: Reginald Maudling (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Foreign Secretary: Gwilym Lloyd George (Liberal; 1957-1967), Margaret Thatcher (Conservative; 1967-Present)

Secretary of the Dominions: Enoch Powell (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Home Secretary: Jeremy Thorpe (Liberal; 1960-Present)

Defense Minister: Christopher Lee (Conservative; 1963-Present)

President of the Board of Trade: Frederick Erroll (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster: Iain Macleod (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Minister of Education: The Viscount Simonds (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Secretary of State for Scotland: John Maclay (Liberal; 1957-Present)

Minister of Agriculture: Charles Hill (Conservative; 1963-Present)

Minister of Transportation & Civil Aviation: The Viscount Thurso (Liberal; 1959-Present)

Minister of Power: David Renton (Liberal; 1959-Present)

Conservative-Liberal Coalition (1963-Present)

Domestic Policy

  • Protectionist policies resulted in a surge in the British economy, with import tariffs being reduced to 15% on goods that are made in abundance in the UK & to 5% on almost everything else. Tariffs against Dallas Pact nations were ended altogether.
  • New public housing developments have been built in predominately lower-class parts of the country, an action which has been credited with increasing Conservative support in these traditionally Labour constituencies, as evidenced by several surprise Conservative wins in the by-elections.
  • On the 21st of October, 1966, a colliery spoil tip on a mountain slo

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for the awards and kind words last night. My reddit account was blowin' up with notifications to the point where it just didn't tell me that I got 3 golds until I checked in the morning. To tell you the truth, running the setlist in the engaged and interactive way that I do, it is a bit too much to pay attention to my DMs.

I had a really fun time running the setlist thread in r/phish last night. So many positive comments, and just sharing in the groove with all of you. That, along with the phenomenal performance we all watched together, really made my night! I liked it so much that I'm running the setlist thread again tonight!!

Here's the poster for this weekend :) https://imgur.com/9uG5gtQ

Once again, LIVEPHISH is streaming the show live for 25 dollaridoos. The Phish channel on XM radio will be streaming the audio (last night they were about 30 seconds behind the live stream, but was soundboard quality. Usually, there are some MXLR streams that are just mirroring the XM radio feed-- not sure how Phish.Inc feels about that.

Here is the streaming-live comments link. I think this is more helpful for desktop users, but YMMV: https://reddit-stream.com/comments/ow2dah/

I am not here to share streams-- but if someone you know is looking to join a quest to find Zelda with their friend link, please do so in the DMs. I mean DM each other with streams-- not me :)

Houston, The United States

Alex E. Jones | Commander In Chief | Official Government Document

#Part One | The Death Battle Begins

> ”I will keep America moving forward, always forward, for a better America, for an endless enduring dream and a thousand Points of Light. This is my mission, and I will complete it.” - George H.W. Bush

##OP: Freedom’s Dawn

> With the 3AR weak and unprepared for war, we have decided to take the first shot across the nose of the filthy globalists who continue to soil pure American lands. The strike will be swift, rapid, and deadly in order to give The United States the edge in our rapid advance across the eastern shore of North America.

Phases

Phase Goal Timeline
1 Cripple 3AR Anti Air 0415h
2 Cripple 3AR MLRS Capability 0445h
3 Cripple 3AR Airbase Sites 0530h
4 Coup-de-grats 3AR Airwings 0545h

1) Anti-air in the 3AR must go first to put it squarely. Taking a strong focus on their 258 reported Patriot batteries, we must neutralize these in order to move forwards and obliterate their military capabilities. With their relatively weak air force, we will have strategic command of the skies if we can knock out their anti-air capabilities.

2) The M270’s (250 reported), and HIMARS (64 reported) must be targeted next in rapid succession. With weakened anti-air capabilities, we are to launch a rapid air strike in order to neutralize these very potent pieces of artillery on the battlefield. Surely, the enemy will attempt to counter our big guns with their own once we start to wreck their Patriot systems. We must shift rapidly in order to silence these systems as well with everything we have.

3) The third goal of OP: Freedom’s Dawn will see us take aim at the enemies airbases. Surely, they will have scrambled air assets at this time given the artillery and air war we will have waged sense 0415h. We will not give the enemy a place to land once they realize that they have no support assets back at home. Firing upon air-crews and air-wing hangars in mass, we will force them to retreat. As they do so, we will engage in phase 4 rapidly.

4) The fourth phase of Freedom’s Dawn will see our air assets swing in and shoo

Requesting Speedtests from any Visible users in Pennsylvania

More specifically users who might be in the York, Adams, Lancaster counties of PA and/or Frederick, Carroll, and Baltimore counties of MD (or thereabouts). I’m looking for some dl speeds and ping times. Thanks!

Additional info: Current Verizon user and partner both with iPhone 6s’s looking to upgrade to iPhone 13 or 13 Pros.

We have good Verizon coverage and are usually connected to a fairly speedy wifi connection at home. My concern is dropped calls or things like that as I need my phone for work. We live about 150 miles from Newark, NJ which it sounds like where a server is located so I’m hoping for decent ping times.

It would be nice to not have to worry about data usage though and the lower bill would be nice as well.

Any info is appreciated!

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I was working on a list of children lost while still in treatment, juvenile facilities, and programs. This is not a full list by far. It's over 300+ children who were gone too soon. I felt it was important to share on here because even if they didn't get press coverage, their lives mattered and their names should be remembered somewhere.

Edit: Added the year they passed and their age to the end

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

I did it, I finally did it. After 4 years and 92 days I went from being a father, to a dad.

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.

Daughter: I'm hungry

Me: nerves building, smile widening

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.

She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.

Thank you all for listening.
