A list of puns related to "FreakingNews"
Today the weather is very beautiful. Wea are lucky to have this "r".
We all know this story: /u/Zinko83 and /u/MauerAstronaut came out with the DD on Variance Swaps a few months ago, with /u/Criand hopping in shortly after. And in a surprising twist, he was ENCOURAGING options, which as we ALL know are basically the devil. Right?
/u/Criand got pushed back on so hard that it led him to retract statements and put out clarification. It was an AGGRESSIVE reaction that had myself, and probably many others, a little confused. We all trusted /u/Criand - his theories on futures and swaps had been groundbreaking and we finally felt like collectively, we understood at least some of what was going on with our favorite company. And then not much later, he convinced us that DRS IS THE WAY. And he was right! So why was he betraying us and "pushing" options?
I don't mean to be "The Options Guy." I've dabbled in the past; some wins, some losses, but I'm certainly no expert. But I understand the concept, and I understand the basics of the greeks - enough to realize that 99% of the opposition to "options pushers" is FULL of misconceptions and in some cases, purposefully misleading information.
I've posted before about how Thomas Peterffy was CLEARLY talking about exercising call options (that post is here) And now we find that this random video of Charles Gradante was (allegedly) suppressed; a video in which he spells out plainly that Call options were absolutely FUCKING Market Maker's day up last January. I see this all happen, and just a few days later we have this AH craziness with MSM pushing out NFT "news" as an explanation.
This ISN'T a coincidence. I am now 100% convinced that the AH move was meant to be an IV pump, with the added benefit of controlling the narrative on the NFT marketplace. They NEEDED to price us out of options, and that little mini pump and dump was the quickest, and probably cheapest way to do it, on top of that added bonus of getting boomers to dismiss NFTs as a thing that matter.
Even ignoring the variance swaps DD, I want to be very clear and explain to you all the reason that call options played such a big role in the January sneeze, and why DRS + Call Options

I was reading day trading books by reputable day traders, watching live YouTube traders and actually was doing pretty good. In 1 year, I had turned the original 10,000 paper money I started with into 140,000. It was like I couldn't lose. For every red day, I had 3 green days. I was doing everything by the book and it was really working.
So, not having any money, I took out a personal loan for 5k. Put 2k in the bank and 3k into my day trading platform. I was so confident in myself that i laughed when the loan guy told me 5 years at 23%. I told him I'd pay it off in full within 6 months.
Now in day trading they teach you to look for a catalyst. A reason why a stock will go up. They also teach you to set a stop loss at no more than 5% so you don't lose everything if it drops. Well I started day trading for real and was doing only ok. I would make 250 dollars then lose 150 dollars. Lose 300 then make 200. I was about 50/50 red days and green days. My 3k was down to about 2,800 after a week. Then it happened. I read a stock twit at 5am about a small company that just had their product approved to sell on Amazon. I looked it up and it was true. I told myself I would buy 2k worth. When I looked up the price, it was only .88 a share!
The bell rings and I buy like 2,200 shares. It instantly goes up about 6 percent and I'm getting excited. Then, literally as I'm setting my stop loss (not even 2 minutes into the session) it drops. Alot. Below where my stop was gonna be set. I'm down 100 so I'm like we'll shit. I go to set another stop but it falls so fast that I can't set it in time. I'm down 200 then 300 then 400 and I'm freaking out. I finally set a stop and it sells immediately for a 400 dollar loss. This was the first 5 minutes of the session. Over the next 20 minutes it dropped to .40 a share. I thought well at least I got out before it went that low. Upset and confused about why it would fall so low on positive news, I Ieft to work. I had about a 35 min drive and decided about 10 mins into it to check on that stock. It was 2.50 a share! The app for the particular platform at the time was only for checking stocks, I could not perform any buy/sell action from the app and I was driving to work. I checked again 10 mins later, it was at 4.50 a share! I got to the supply house about 20 mins later and checked while I was waiting on parts. 7

This is just a yay me post, I'm sorry. My Q spouse has made life a living nightmare for about 2-3 years now. I don't think all Q people are abusive, but when an abusive person gets caught up in all that is Q, things can take a quick turn for the worst. My divorce hearing is in 3 hours.
I gave up everything monetary in exchange for sole residential and legal custody of our son. My 10 year old is scared of her soon to be ex step father. A year ago she over heard him tell me that I wasn't going to dictate how he raised his son and just threat after threat of what would happen to me if I stepped on his toes. My daughter, 9 at the time, came to me and asked "Mom, how are you going to protect him?" At that time I didn't know, and all I could promise her was that I was going to do everything in my power to keep baby bro safe. As long as today goes the way it should, I can hopefully deliver some good news to a big sister that has been distraught with worry.
She has heard every vaccine claim possible, watched her brother get extremely sick after my QSpouse and his Qfamily were reckless regarding covid and didn't even tell us. Watched her step dad prepare for the "blackout". Watched her stepdad scream that if the election wasn't overturned that we wouldn't have to worry about him because he was going to war. He told my daughter that he had personally seen photos of Hillary Clinton eating the skinned face of a child. Yes we are in therapy, yes I am ridden with guilt that she ever had to endure his psychological abuse, but I am one happy mama today.
In addition to the constant toxic environment that he created with his Q knowledge he started to lay ground work to dictate our sons medical care too based on Q. I have been threatened multiple times for what will happen to me if I ever get our son vaccinated for covid. Our son is 2 btw so he can't even get vaccinated yet, but he has been intubated before and has a history of respiratory complications. When the time comes I can protect him now. Might seem like a small victory to be able to vaccinate your child but when you've seen your child's skin turn blue from a collapsing airway, protecting them from respiratory illness is no small victory. The same man who said that attending his toddlers tonsillectomy would be too stressful for HIM was literally planning to tie my hands in terms of my sons preventative care and I can't explain how good it feels for that to not even be an option anymore.

The issue of Genshin changing their publisher from Mihoyo to Cognosphere has sparked a bit of discussion recently. Some people were freaking out about their money going to a seemingly different company. Many assumptions and rumors started popping up and going around. And some of them are getting out of hand. I have compiled the rumors that are being spread around, hoping to raise more awareness.
Just to make it clear again, these are NOT facts, but rumors.
Ok, now let's look at the actual facts.
Mihoyo DID make an announcement, most people probably just didnโt read it. The announcement explained that the change was for publishing on various platforms and easier in-game purchases.
>Dear Travelers,
>
>Months after Genshin Impact was added to the Epic Games Store on June 9, today, we'd like to announce that Travelers worldwide who have downloaded Genshin Impact on Epic Games Store are now able to make in-game transactions with various payment methods supported by Epic Games Store.
>
>To ensure the safety and convenience of online transactions, we will continue to listen to player feedback and seek more eligible payment options globally. Meanwhile, with more entities engaged, the publisher of Genshin Impact on Epic Games Store has been updated to COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD., which would be responsible for the publishing work on various platforms. Quality service will still be ensured in all publishings.
So why does โchangingโ publishers make it easier for global players to pay for in-game purchases? This is actually common practice for Chinese game companies. It helps them better manage the international market and overcome cash flow restrictions from other countries. China doesnโt have good relationships with many western countries, therefore there are heavy cash flow restrictions going into China and sometimes regulations on Chinese products. But unlike China, Singapore has no political stands and has good economic

This is the fifth part of my write-up about World of Warcraft. You can read the first four by clicking the links below.
Part 1 - Beta and Vanilla
Part 2 - Burning Crusade
Part 3 - Wrath of the Lich King
Part 4 - Cataclysm
An Unexpected Trademark
It was mid-2011. The final patch of Cataclysm was on its way, and Blizzcon was just around the corner. The subject of World of Warcraftโs next expansion had begun to gain traction once again, and as was tradition, the internet became awash with leaks. Some promised Old Gods, some foresaw KulโTiras or Zandalar or Nazjatar, TelโAbim or Suramar or Sargeras โ in short, players made every possible prediction in the vain hope that one of them might be proven right.
But none of them were.
No one could have predicted Pandaria.
It wasnโt until the user โMynscโ went wading through the US Patent and Trademark Office website in search of info about Titan โ Blizzardโs โopen-secretโ new game in development โ that they stumbled upon a recently-filed trademark by the name of โMists of Pandariaโ. Among all the theory-crafting and scavenging for information, it had been there a week, out in the open where anyone could find it, and yet completely overlooked.
It was immediately dismissed by many users as a book, a figurine, an in-game microtransaction perhaps. They cast it aside and turned to the more realistic leaks. But upon further inspection, the trademark was for a game, distributed on CD-ROMs with instruction manuals and guides. It had to be WoW content.
Okay, the community said. Then it was a patch.
>โthey don't trademark patches. If they never did before, why now?โ
Then it had to be some kind of trading-card game spin off. Definitely not an expansion.
>โThe international class used in the trademark is the same as they used for previous expansions. The timing and information for the Mists of Pandaria trademark matches that of The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm. If this i

https://www.reddit.com/r/AirBnB/comments/rkcd8j/guest_left_little_if_you_find_this_theyre_not/
Well, this is a new one for me.
For background, when we originally accepted this guest's booking, the first few exchanges were normal, reasonable, boring. The usual back and forth of getting our most important questions answered. I booked him without issue because he didn't ask for anything ridiculous, and he seemed reasonable. He has 1 5 star review of the "great guest, would host again" type.
He booked over a month in advance. A day after booking, he sends me a message that says "You know, normally by now, a host would have sent instructions on how to get in". This is an issue because both our listing and our acceptance email say that one of us will be there to greet the guest at the door and show them around (this is a shared home, so we take them through all the public rooms and also point out the guest rooms, make introductions if another guest is around) and because the "normally by now, a host..." part really rubbed me the wrong way. But I responded cheerfully and said something like "as mentioned in our listing and in the acceptance email, one of us will be there to greet you. All you have to do is ring the doorbell" (and yes, there is an actual picture of our actual front door with a little arrow pointing at the doorbell letting people know to ring it because it is a black doorbell on black-painted door frame. Some people have had a hard time seeing it before).
I get several more "normally by now" messages that are all obnoxious. "Normally by now, a host has given me instructions on how to get to their home on public transit" My response: "As mentioned in our acceptance message, if you need direction on how to get to our place, you need to let us know how you're getting into the city and the approximate time, so we can best advise you

Most of us have torrented something at some point, whether itโs a game, movie, book, song or TV show, but just for those who havenโt, Iโll explain the basics.
When you go to a site like The Pirate Bay or Kick Ass Torrents, and click โDownload Torrentโ, all youโre really getting is a link. Programmes like Bittorrent or Vuze are able to open those links, and will let you download almost any file, legal or not. But youโre not downloading it from a server somewhere, a website, or a single person, youโre downloading it from dozens, sometimes thousands of people at the same time, all around the world. Those are known as โseedersโ. And while you do that, other people are downloading the file from you. Theyโre โleechersโ. The original distributor of the file created that torrent, and submitted it to torrenting websites so that other people could find it, but once theyโve shared the full file once, they can break off their connection to the torrent.
This is known as โPeer to Peerโ file sharing, and itโs the primary means of distributing media illegally, because itโs basically impossible to stop. If a website is hosting episodes of Game of Thrones, you can shut the website down. If a person is sending out files, you can sue them. But no company or corporation, however powerful, can stop a torrent (though many have tried).
Sharing a movie or a song is easy โ you just distribute the file. It will work no matter who downloads it. But games are different. Since a game is made up of loads of files working in tandem and tangled up in a confusing spider-web of code, the developer is able to โbooby trapโ the game so that it doesnโt work when itโs copied.
For as long as developers have been doing this, savvy hackers and programmers have been working to undo it. When they do, the developers go back to the drawing board and come up with something smarter.
Cassettes were easily duplicated, so the industry invented consoles with more secure cartridges and built-in ROMs that could detect fakes. Pirates reverse-engineered the consoles to make their own duplicate consoles which could run both legitimate and fake copies. So the industry moved to CDs, because they had more storage space and could be fitted with new security features. Pirates cracked the CDs. Developers started requiring a game key, so pirates created key-genera

Edit: Really like how the Pokemon Sub hivemind immediately thinks I'm a shill for Nintendo/Pokemon lmfao if you even knew how much mud I flung at Sw/Sh, LGPE and BDSP you really wouldn't expect a post like this from me.
I'm excited about Legends Arceus because it's finally a genuine positive original change for the Pokemon franchise that is sorely needed. I also see that this post made some people think twice, and that's fine. I made this post more as an information dump because GF/Nintendo have basically showed NOTHING to the general public, and I've had a lot of people assuming this was just another generic Pokemon game.
I get it, GF is incompetent. But unfortunately, they're the ones in charge of the games. If you want actual good change and series growth, you need to support the changes you want to see, and I also think it's really interesting to see how they created PLA using their crappy 3DS engine. It's interesting from a technical standpoint, but it's not like I'm condoning the game's graphics from an artistic standpoint. The fact is PLA is genuinely impressive when you take into the fact that it's running on a modified 3DS engine that wasn't designed to do any of this in the first place. Does that mean it wouldn't be immediately better if it was using a better engine? No. Heck, BDSP used Unity and while the game itself looked very barebones the water shaders in BDSP dwarf GameFreak's attempt at using graphics conventions from way back in the Wii era.
I personally have been burned by GameFreak since USUM when they removed Lusamine's fusion with Nihilego. I still wanted Pokemon Z. I was angry at LGPE because it didn't do enough. BDSP is a broken mess. But I can't help but laugh at the hypocrisy when people get upset at Pokemon for being stagnant and them immediately dismissing the very first time in so many years that Pokemon is finally undergoing major mechanical changes. And hell yeah, I'm going to advocate for that. I'm not saying buy the game, just wanted to let you know why I'm personally excited for it.
We're less than 3 weeks away from Pokรฉmon: Legends Arceus' release, and the majority of this sub seem to not really be as interested in its existence as I would have expected, seeing as this is the Pokรฉmon game that the "Pokรฉmon never tries new things" crowd should really be paying attention to.

I got home played it once and then played it again the next day... and I haven't played it since. 19,21,25 I have played over and over and over when I got them. 19 was the best of all since it was unique and offered a flavor Adele hasn't returned too. 21 & 25 could have been a double CD on the same album. Same type of songs and themes. They had her biggest hits we all know them. I enjoyed them both but for 6 years of listening to them. 30 should have been an entirely different Adele experience.
It simply wasn't. It was literally just more of the same but not as ground breaking or amazing as the previous two albums were. I don't know maybe the Adele flavored gum in my mouth has lost it's flavor but I haven't had any desire to hear 30 again. It has a few good songs ( I liked about two of them) but nothing I felt I wanted to listen to on repeat like I did the other Albums. Even the bonus tracks that came on my Target CD were kind of so so.
Being an actual fan of Adele this album to me was not worth a 6 year wait. It sounded like something he could have thrown together in a weekend. There was literally no new vibe on this album. Same broken hearted wailing over a piano. Is it really so hard for her to work with producers that make different music? or even other artists? Even a track with Adele and the Weeknd, or Sia or Lady Gaga or anybody else would have blown my mind and given me a break from the same old tired lost my love tracks.
Some new instruments...? Maybe some 808 drums. A Moog, a Prophet 5.... just introduce some new sounds to your music please.
The praise I've seen this album get is a head scratcher for me. This is not a ground breaking album and it's the weakest offering. An album that took 6 years to put out should sound freaking Amazing. Every track should be a hit. This Album just sounds like songs they found under a couch in her mansion. I really really really was hoping this Album would have been where Adele either went back to the 19 mindset and experimented with her voice and music and gave us a fresh new Adele... but it wasn't. It was literally 30 Adele with a Tired and Old sound.
I thought this album would grow on me but I've personally had no desire to even add it to my playlist. I enjoyed "To be Loved". Best song on there imo but again that could have fit right on the sounds from 21 or 30.

Me [24 F] with my dead boyfriend's mother [50? F]: She wants his dog? [Oct 14 2014]
Sorry. This is longer than I wanted, but I am still processing things as this happened last night.
To get you up to speed: My boyfriend was killed in a car accident last month. This post is not about that. I am going to grief counseling and coping as well as I think I can at the moment. We were together for three years. We started living together a little over a year ago.
Prior to meeting Boyfriend, he got a ridiculously cute puppy. At the time, he was still living at home as his parents lived close to our university. However, this puppy was HIS puppy. She slept in his room, he took care of her and trained her. However, his mom loves Dog, and doted on her like a grandmother.
Boyfriend and I met in a local park because he had a puppy and I had an old grouchy dog of similar breed. (Adorbs, right?) We quickly started spending a good chunk of time with each other. I'd say we spent a good 60% of the week together. And by together, I mean me, boyfriend, my grouchy dog, and his young pup. Dog spent a lot of time at my place, and I helped with training, general care and dog activities.
After we moved in with each other, I took on a lot more of the dog responsibilities. Boyfriend ended up getting a job with a long commute and a lot of overtime. I was okay with this, as I ended up putting my old dog down a couple months ago and I enjoyed having a dog to take care of again. I even started therapy dog training with her, because she has such an awesome temperament. All in all, we were a happy loving family, and Dog and I were great friends.
After his death, his family came over to help sort through all his things. His family took the majority of his material things (car, computers, etc.), which I was okay with. I kept the sentimental things and joint purchases. I thought that was that.
During this whole time, Dog has been my constant companion. I feel like we have been helping each other a lot through this time of loneliness and sadness.
Last night, his mom popped by after work for a su

Just got news tonight that a good friend of 10+ years from grad school passed away in a totally random, freak accident. While itโs obviously important to stock away money for retirement, donโt sacrifice too much now because you never know when your time will run out.

Edit 5: Add: โPERMANENTLY.โ After reflecting on the comments in response to my post and being reminded Nintendo has done BC in the past, I think itโs important to note: the digital era should bring about permanent BC. I put this edit at the top because itโs an important distinction and should address all comments reminding me Nintendo has done BC in the past, but not for the long haul. Those comments, though, which were helpful in thinking through the various nuances of this topic. Now, on to my original post:
I know. Nintendo does their own thing. Thatโs fine. But this is absolutely an area in which they should imitate their competitors.
I bought the NES through GameCube when they launched. I skipped the Wii and WiiU, came back to gaming via Xbox and PC in 2014, and I camped out for Switch Day 1.
Iโve spent thousands building my Nintendo collection, and Iโve spent quite a lot on my Switch library. When Nintendo releases its next console, I want my entire Switch library to seamlessly port over. Microsoft is doing it. Playstation is about to do it.
I just played the first few hours of Dishonored on Xbox (a 2012 game), and I did it not because I purchased it; I did it *because I am a PAYING subscriber to GamePass Ultimate*.
Just sayinโ, Nintendo. Backward compatibility doesnโt mean you have to โlose money.โ If you do it right, you'll MAKE money, and, like Microsoft, you'll have folks like me giving you money and thanking you for taking it. That's what any genius business does, right?

Edit: Thanks to everyone for the comments! Sorry if I don't reply to every single one. The general gamut of perspectives here is: VC is what Nintendo should do. Or... a subscription is what Nintendo should do. Or... Nintendo will never do BC. Or... Nintendo should copy GP but offer purchase options. Obviously, Nintendo has several routes it could go; no matter our opinions on the longterm solution, I think we can all agree that we as consumers want what's best for us: access to old Nintendo games we've purchases or subscribed to, and we want that until we die. How we pay for and acquire said games is up to Nintendo, of course, but we all agree it would be nice if it were a consumer-friendly option.
Edit 2: It is clear that this conversation is evolving into a subscription vs. VC debate, both of which have their merits. This is a great conversation, and I look forward to seeing how it plays out over the next several decades.

I work in an industrial setting and there's a big electrical box in one particular area that the electricians needs to get into frequently and with urgency. It goes all the way down to the floor so anything in the way will prevent access, so one of our particularly reactionary supervisors posted a notice to prevent people from leaving pallets in the way. The phrasing was a bit extreme but since most people could be expected to react in a rational manner should an issue come up, nobody thought it was a big deal.
Well, somebody parked a pallet there with a big crate on it around the size of a coffin. I don't know what's in it, but it's addressed attn: the head of the lab and has customs paperwork sitting on top of it valuing it at just shy of three quarters of a million dollars.
About an hour ago the electrician called the supervisors' office on an open channel on the radio, so about ten or fifteen people heard the exchange when he asked what to do about this pallet in the way. Everyone reading this has already guessed the answer.
We also all heard him try at least twice to talk him out of it, but he was just talked over. Our big trash bin is attached to a permanent compactor, so anything that goes in there can expect to be crushed within a few minutes.
I took the liberty of turning it off and pocketing the key to it, which I'm going to give to a supervisor with a more level head at shift change. In the meantime the garbage is going to just pile up because the crate is indeed upended into the compactor.
I'd say obediently throwing away an expensive piece of equipment qualifies as MC, and he'll have a ton of corroboration when the shit hits the fan.
I'll keep you updated.
Update: SOMEBODY CRUSHED IT. The compactor is now jammed, possibly dead. The platen is sitting at just enough of an angle to be alarming and won't move forward or back.
The supervisor in question is pacing around the area right now. To his credit, he's not trying to blame the electrician, but whoever put the pallet in front of the electrical box is probably getting written up. Possibly me too because there is absolutely video of me taking the key.
I kind of feel bad for the supervisor because I don't think he realizes the full damage he's done. He's freaking out about the damaged compactor.
Because people are asking, I will share that

But that was the toll she had to pay for the fact that it seemed out of character for her to be anything but restlessly dutiful over her many years of service to the people who voted her into her office. And she would gladly pay it for them. The service to her people was a matriarchโs duty, that had been instilled into her from a very young age, and that duty extended to her role as the Leader-Supreme.
Still, sometimes, very rarely, she felt like she could do without the constant need for attention some people seemed to have. If she had wanted to comfort a horde of children, she would have borne her own and become a herd-mother like her dear sister. But that life had never been for her. And even if she was and felt responsible for them, she expected a bit more than whining and complaining out of the very much adult people she had the watch over.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock on the door.
She put down her assistant and looked towards the door.
โCome in!โ she loudly ordered, uselessly making a welcoming gesture with her trunk, which the person on the other side of her door obviously couldnโt see.
The door was opened by one of her guards, allowing entrance to a much smaller figure who meekly entered the room; her gaze lowering respectfully as soon as it had met with that of Tua.
โAh, Doctor!โ Tua happily exclaimed, delig

My mother, a frontline healthcare worker in NY, just tested positive for COVID. She is FULLY vaccinated and boosted. In fact, she is double vaxxed - both Moderna (2 doses + booster) and the original J&J vaccine.
She is 68 and has health risks. She kept working because she canโt afford to quit. We just talked yesterday about her frustration with antivaxxers and their ignorance, and how theyโre getting people killed. This should have NEVER happened! FFS, get vaccinated!!
I am praying that my momโs vaccinated status and the fact that she caught it early (I think she tests herself at least once a week and has since this mess started) means her case will be mild. I am immunocompromised and disabled and live in California, so I feel incredibly powerless. And incredibly angry.
Now if youโll excuse me, I gotta go call my mom and pretend Iโm not having an absolute sobbing meltdown over this.
If youโre a troll/antivaxxer reading this - #GET FUCKING VACCINATED FFS!!!
Edit: oh my gosh I stepped away from Reddit and then came back to all the comments and Iโm just so very touched and awed by yโallโs kindness. Thank you all so much for your words of support. Sheโs got an oxygen monitor at home and is staying on top of things. Says she just feels a little โoffโ but is mostly ok. As strained as our relationship gets at times, sheโs still my mom and the only parent I have left :-/
Edit 2: โ68 isnโt elderly.โ Iโll just hold my L on this one, lol Donโt worry, she would kick my ass if she heard I called her elderly too haha
Also for those commenting things like โwhat are you freaking out aboutโ and being in general dismissive - idk man, maybe I just love my mom and I am on the other side of the continent from her AND this is all in all a scary thing to be going through? If your comment was meant to offer reassurance, thanks I guess? Bless your hearts.
Edit 3: I tried to answer as many comments as I could, but I couldnโt keep up haha. Thank you all for your support, and for sharing your stories. It really does help knowing that so many have gotten through it with mostly mild symptoms thanks to being vaccinated and boosted.
Once again, thank you to this community. These are very strange times we are living in, and I am grateful to have a place where I can come to vent and have people who understand how I feel. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will definitely update this post

Alright apes, it's time for part 3 in my "grow some options wrinkles" series. If you haven't read them yet, go read Part 1 and Part 2. Please read Part 1 and 2 if you haven't already. Important topics like IV and theta were covered there that are extremely important.
As I said in Part 1, this is NOT financial advice. I am NOT telling anyone to buy GME options, just trying to educate apes so they can make their own independent financial decisions.
If you think you're too smooth to understand this stuff, I promise that you're not. It's really not that hard. If you don't get it, ask questions to those of us who do. Paper trade until you feel comfortable and are making good plays consistently and get a feel for it.
DRS is the way. Options and DRS are not mutually exclusive. The shills try and make this some false dichotomy, but no such conflict exists. The goal of using options is to gain leverage, make money, and get more GME shares to DRS. I was recently able to buy an extra 1000 shares due to some recent options moves I made prior to the recent spike after the WSJ article the other day (yes I'm aware the WSJ article didn't cause the spike, this was just a quick/easy way to name this event so everyone knew what I was talking about).
##Table of Contents / TLDR## Here's a TLDR/Table of Contents for this post:
Quick Smooth Brain Review of the Basics
Buy calls only when GME price is low and expected to go up.
Only buy ITM calls.
Only buy longer dated calls. Right now, I am personally looking at dates like April or June or later.
As a general rule, DO NOT buy OTM calls, or weeklies that expire like next week. These are basically lottery tickets and you're probably going to lose.
##LET'S DISPEL SOME FUD##
FUD #1: If you buy options Kenny is just going to keep your premium
I see this one talked about a lot. Does Kenn

Talked to their recruiter about the product openings and it seems like they are definitely ready to build an NoFreakingThing market place and expand their e-commerce presence with a focus on loyalty. I like the sound of it even though others Iโve talked to feel kind of meh on it from an industry standpoint. I understand the vision though and believe they can deliver as long as they have the right team. It seems like GME really is considering the fact that people like the stonk.
Whatโre youโre thoughts on GME going forward? Can you see them as a major player in the space NoFreakingThing and/or the new FB name? It seems kind of obvious to me for them to really dig deep into those spaces but I guess everyone doesnโt get it yet.

**Welcome to the 24 hour pledge!**
I'm pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.
Maybe you're new to /r/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you're like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you've been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.
It doesn't matter if you're still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, lets not drink alcohol!
---
**This pledge is a statement of intent.** Today we don't set out *trying* not to drink, we make a conscious decision *not to drink*. It sounds simple, but all of us know it can be hard and sometimes impossible. The group can support and inspire us, yet only one person can decide if we drink today. Give that person the right mindset!
What happens if we can't keep to our pledge? We give up or try again. And since we're here in /r/stopdrinking, we're not ready to give up.
**What this is:** A simple thread where we commit to not drinking alcohol for the next 24 hours, posting to show others that they're not alone and making a pledge to ourselves. Anybody can join and participate at any time, you do not have to be a regular at /r/stopdrinking or have followed the pledges from the beginning.
**What this isn't:** A good place for a detailed introduction of yourself, directly seek advice or share lengthy stories. You'll get a more personal response in your own thread.

Good day everyone and Happy Sunday! I am super excited to be hosting the DCI this week. This is my third time in the driverโs seat and I have to say, it never gets old. Iโm giddy to have this opportunity again! Thank you, u/SaintHomer! Weโre gonna have some fun and talk about a mix of things this week, so buckle up! Iโm not the best driver (true story) so make sure your seatbelts are fastened.
I want to kick off this week with the word โcommitmentโ. Every day, hundreds and hundreds of us come to the DCI a

I have 2 older brothers, this is about the middle one. Our parents divorced when I was very young due to our Motherโs insane jealousy. At first my Dad was able to handle it but when she started making comments about me wanting to be like his wife he had enough. She quickly rebounded with a guy with 2 kids and had shared custody for a while. But when my Dad got remarried she went crazy, calling his new wife every horrible name and claiming he was cheating on her while they were married. I was always closer to my brothers and Dad than my Mom because she was always very mean to me. Long story short, my Stepmom died in a bad car accident and my Dad called her in the middle of the night letting her know he would pick us up earlier so we could attend the funeral and she decided to take us on a fun trip to โcelebrateโ something. It was the happiest we've ever seen her and when we realized what happened and started crying she told us only worthless people cry for wh***s.
Needless to say, things went nuclear and my Dad asked for full custody with visitation for her. He always left the line of communication open and paid for us to visit her when she moved away but it was still very bad and as soon as we turned 18 we started to lower contact with her. Last time we saw her was on my HS graduation where she made a point of letting everyone who would hear we were ungrateful kids and her HB would call us bad names too, been NC since then.
My brother Sam started dating his Ex 3 years ago, she has heard all the stories and the reasons we are NC but she believes we are just dramatic. They had many issues due to her opinions but she eventually seemed to drop the โyou need to reconcile with your Motherโ crusade. During the wedding planning there was no indication of things going wrong or fishy, then we got to the church and lo and behold Mom, HB and 2 kids were sitting at front. I immediately panicked and called my brothers. Sam thought maybe somehow she found out and wanted to crash so he called his Ex to let her know of the potential drama but she told him it was fine since she invited them, Sam hung up and asked me

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

*MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING - talk of Anthym being in severe condition, talk of very invasive treatment. As a mother, this was extremely hard to sit through and type out. Please be cautious that that is very, very traumatic.*
*I'm sorry for any spelling mistakes. I just sat through 45 minutes of this and typed it out very fast as I went. Karissa goes back and forth between days, but I made it as chronological as I could. My thoughts are periodically in italics*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She begins by saying that she's going to share her testimony because everyone is asking about it. duh, you posted a picture of your kid in a c collar and then went MIA
-She spent 19 days in the hospital
-The day before the basketball game, she had a slight fever. Karissa was going to take her birthday pictures but decided against it because she could tell she wasn't feeling well.
-Friday night (the day before the game), Karissa was bathing Anthym and noticed her neck slouched over and thought that was weird.
- Saturday morning, she woke up fine in her crib. Laughing, smiling, being baby, you get it.
-They went to the basketball game and Anthym lost all control of her muscles. She couldn't hold her head up, couldn't use her legs, her face drooped. Karissa said she, "thought it was weird."
- AND THEN THEY WENT TO LUNCH AND NOT THE HOSPITAL
-Anthym wouldn't make eye contact with Karissas mom. Kept looking up. Said it was really scary and then said, "so we went to eat lunch." I fucking cant with this woman.
-Karissa said she couldn't eat. probably because your fucking kid was very obviously having a serious medical issue
-She decided to take Anthym to urgent care who then sent her to the children's hospital.
-She then goes on a mini rant about how urgent care tried to blame her sickness on them not vaccinating and said they thought she had tuberculosis
-They did a spinal tap and Karissa said it was the worst experience of her entire life.
-Karissa prayed over Anthym during the spinal tap and while nurses were holding her child down.
-Karissa said that one of the men holding her down had Anthyms face smooshed into his belly, suffocating her. She tried to get him to back off by saying she wasn't breathing, but they wouldn't listen.
-They finally moved Anthym's head and she had passed out. They immediately gave her

Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
