As someone who grew up with cats and dogs it breaks my heart to think of all the animals trapped in houses during the fire. I've been desperately wracking my brain for ideas on how to remotely let pets escape if the owner isn't home, but it seems like the only guaranteed method is a human grabbing them.
Cages with remote doors - how do they get out of the house door though. Remote unlock/open could work but it's a safety concern then if it accidentally opens your door, and you can't ensure the animal will flee out of that door instead of hiding. Or you would need a doggy door and a jump able fence, but that doesn't work for cats.
Even if there was an emergency service there's no way they'd be able to cover enough ground in the given time.
Does anyone have any ideas, or know of strategies people have used successfully before?

The company I work for wants us to report anytime fire or ems are on property and why. Recently it seams like the only information they give me when I ask is they were sick. How would you report this, or try to get more information without bothering them. I always wait until after everything settles so I donβt keep them from doing their job.
