Preview: Finally the moment is here! India playing for the first time in a FIFA World Cup across any age group or gender. But India faces a daunting task of playing against the USA for 90 minutes in their Group A opener. USA had beaten India 4-0 last year at the AIFF Youth Cup in Goa and will look for a similar result. USA play an attacking brand of football and their front three players - Josh Sargent, Ayo Akinola and Timothy Weah are the ones to watch out for. Key players for India would be Komal Thatal and Aniket Jadhav in attack. India would also look to capitalise on set pieces taken by Sanjeev Stalin and utilize our tall defenders like Anwar Ali. Preview: After losing 3-0 to USA we face Colombia who also lost their opening fixture to Ghana 1-0. We faced Colombia a few months earlier in Mexico and lost 3-0 and a similar outcome might be seen today. While we had a good defensive shape in the match against USA we were poor in our passing and will look to improve on that. Also, the US team severely underperformed and were slow and lethargic against us whereas we can expect Colombia to hit us with pace. The Colombian Left Winger Leandro Campaz will be a major threat with his pace and skills. So it's a good thing that Boris Thangjam, one of our fastest players, is available after his suspension and he might play at right back to counter Campaz.
