Hey all, J_Alexander_HS back again today to talk about a bit of design/balance philosophy regarding “broken” and broken cards. It’s an important matter to understand if you want to appreciate how Blizzard is designing Hearthstone cards, as this is part of their explicit plan (at least to the extent we are made aware of their plans). Understanding this gives insight into why the game looks as it did and as it will in the future.
In a recent interview, Iksar shared the following tidbit of design insight:
>I like Nozdormu and Deathwing for different reasons. One thing that’s fun is the reaction that you hear when people see a new card. Sometimes someone will look at a card and say, “I don’t think you should do this.” And that’s kind of the reaction that we’re looking for. You shouldn’t look at a set of cards and say, “Wow, this is the most well-balanced set of cards we’ve ever seen.” You want to feel like there’s cool stuff that’s going on that feels broken
The takeaway message is that the team appears to want to make cards with big, flashy, and powerful effects because those interest players more than a deliberately-balanced set. There are several pros and cons to consider to this flavor of design
The first big pro is that powerful effects help make sets not flop. An under-powered set is basically a set that doesn’t exist because players want to win and will only tend to use the cards that help them do that. If cards in a set don’t help players win, relative to what is currently on offer, they won’t be used. This doesn’t move packs and it doesn’t add variety to the player experience. Without power, cards are non-existent to boring.
Another pro is that these big effects can create new meta experiences and decks, rather than simply slotting into existing strategies and lists. Building on the previous point, a set that has cards which do see play (because they’re good) but don’t really change the meta (because they only fit into existing decks) also risks boring your players. They’ve already been playing with those decks for 4 months (or longer), and the process of simply refining decks doesn’t provide them much value to mine from the new set. Their gains from the new cards won’t feel impactful.

And people selling high-end stuff too! I had a character that I was rather 'meh' about, found a spectacular weapon for him in a player shop, and now I am really enjoying playing again.
I just wish there was a way to 'Favorite shop' in the social tab, because it's hard to get people to accept a random friend invitation just so I can shop there again. I think 'Favorite shop' would just let you go to the server if that shop was set up.

So basically title, I found out the problem but not I don't know if anything serious happened or if protection from my PSU and MB saved my components. And it still puzzle me how my system can not only operate but even heavy gaming for 1 2 hours before problems kick in.

When I lived with my ex roommates they were in a crazy poly thing and this EP was disasterous.

So when I moved into that state I was kind of bereft of friends and lonely. I had heard EP had been kicked out of the local gaming groups and ND followed out of solidarity.
So I invited them over. I went out of my way to buy some fried shrimp, fishes of two kinds, chicken strips. Etc. I had the idea for jackbox games and thought I could make friends.
EM only agreed when she heard there was going to be shrimp.
The day of the event,they all get here. I've been warned by roommates this child is beyond wild. Breaks things, doesn't know how to talk very much. Doesn't know how to use the toilet. Is basically isolated.
I worked daycare for the toddler section of my parents church, dealing with kids being seperated from mommy and daddy for the first time. I thought I was prepared.
I was not.
It started well enough. I was optimistic. Food was served, and that's when it started.
EM: don't you have any hot dogs or chicken nuggets for EK? That's all she'll eat.
Me: Um. No, I'm sorry. Chicken tenders are chicken strips right?
EM: noooOOOoo EK won't eat them, I tried
Me: ... Ok well lemme try.
EM: whatever, but it won't work.
Me, leaning over with plate: Hey EK, I got you some extra large grownup chicken nuggets, isn't that awesome!
EK eyes light up and rapid nodding ensues

EM is fuming and pretending that it doesn't offend her that I succeeded. EM is dating one of my roommates too, and that adds to entitlement

EM: but I said I liked shrimp and I caaan't eat the others.
She did, in fact eat the others later, but me like a fool thinking it was food allergies let her.

Everything is so broken
The US is broken. People just hide behind their personas, they cling to norms and traditions, unaccepting of change. Corporations just bribe congresspeople to have laws made/changed in their favor, at the expense of people. I’m just so sick of authoritarian conservative ideology, the for profit prisons and the war on drugs, religious institutions, everything’s just so fake and superficial. I just wish people could be real and genuine, break free from their preconceived notions and indoctrination. I just want to live in a just, rational, and empathetic society that works towards the improvement of human life rather than filling the pockets of the connected and rich. I wish I could just give everyone molly and acid and/or dmt. MDMA is really goof for instilling empathy and being able to self analyze without fear and pain, to be truly open and genuine. And psychedelics allow people to think outside of the box and dissolve their preconceived notions of how things should be. If their useage was more widespread it would be very beneficial for society. Everyone should take molly. It is fucked up that these substances are illegal and demonized.

All the technology on campus (everything in the rec, eduroam, etc) is just shitting the bed constantly. Even ShakeSmart broke today, and they’re not even owned by Cal Poly Corp (I’m 99% sure at least). Not to mention like a good 10% of the student body is on crutches or has ankle braces right now, why are everyone’s ankles dying?? What the hell is happening, is this a sign of something horrible?
1.) Any weapon that has been unlocked with a Perma-Unlock Token cannot receive Camo or XP progress until the level requirement for that weapon has been reached
2.) You will not receive any XP for killing Normal and Catalyst Zombies (Tigers, Dogs, Nova Crawlers, Heavy Zombies and Mini-Bosses are fine) with the following specialist attacks:
- Hammer of Valhalla: Thunder Strike (Melee Attack) and Storm Barrier (Stage 2 Attack)
- Chakrams of Vegeance: Melee Attack
- Scepter of Ra: Melee Attack
- Viper and Dragon: Viper Melee Attack
- Path of Sorrows: Merciless Dash (Stage 2 Attack)
- Overkill: Tactical Nuke (Stage 3 Attack) (Not supposed to give XP anyway, just added for clarity)
3.) Activating McNamara Crawlers amidst a round change causes all spawns going forward to be Nova crawlers until their spawn amount has been killed (Replaces Dogs with Nova Crawlers during dog rounds)
4.) Cancelling a reload early can rarely not allow you to shoot your weapon for the duration of your weapon's reload time, even though the weapon has been reloaded
5.) The Brutus that is spawned when activating Pack-A-Punch in Blood of the Dead will run down and stand still next to the doorway of the Wall with the KN-57 Wallbuy in the Infirmary if he hits a player that is standing on the Pack-A-Punch Platform on the Roof. If a player then Pack-A-Punches a weapon, he will aggro onto the player again, until he hits them again and runs off. This can be repeated as many times as you want, and only works on the Brutus that spawns when opening Pack-A-Punch.
Edit: This is not to shit on Treyarch, it's to get things fixed. I love this game, and have been playing it consistently, so I just want a smoother experience while playing.

Everything is broken! Our AS400 is down due to a power outage a week ago! We’re still waiting for the tech company we contract to show up sometime next week? Wtf. Yeah they have their offices 5 hours away cause we can’t afford to pay someone closer to do our hardware fixes. Our 1506 is piling up like a damn dumpster! We can’t print signs or new mylar. God I can’t wait for the pile of smart counts and price changes when they fix it! We have been on delay behind delay on the Mystore app hahaha! Pathetic! It’s been delayed like 10 times this year.
We have we have 5 U boats and 3 of them have messed up tires. Supposedly they’re on back order and our SM insists on using them like that. Just an accident waiting to happen.
What have this company come to? It feels like they just don’t care anymore. I’m sure my store is not the only one.
Reddit enhancement suite doesn't work. One tab doesn't work. JavaScript doesn't work (expandos, collapsing comments and submitting posts on Reddit, AdWords not loading, etc).
I guess I'm the only one with this problem, how to fix? I tried reinstalling. I don't want to completely uninstall and install from scratch since I will lose a lot of data.

Am I the only one having these issues?
Where do you guys find torrents, downloads etc for stuff? Pirate bay is down and the mirrors are flooded with fake torrents, all the other torrent sites I've found are either timing out or redirecting to a copyright agency. The random websites I used to find porn and h-games don't show up anymore in gongle or all their downloads are 404ing. What the hell is going on? Where do I find piracy sources that aren't totally screwed? It seems like anything that shows up in google gets crosshairs put on it, to be rekt by god knows who.
