A list of puns related to "Early admission"
Look, I know many of you are feeling stressed (or more) about decisions this week. I get it β itβs a crazy tough time -- especially if you werenβt offered admission. First, know this: Itβs their loss. You are gonna be sad for a day or two or even three, and then youβre gonna get your shit together and move forward. Still, I have to tell you that y'all have blown me away with your support and care for each other as a community. Watching you cry together and celebrate together and meme together and even sing together makes an (admissions)mom proud!
Time to Keep Zigging
If things didnβt go the way you want, trust me when I say that it doesnβt mean you did anything wrong. It doesnβt change who you are or who youβre becoming or the amazing trajectory of your lives.
It just means youβre gonna zig instead of zag. And zigging is really fucking awesome. When you zig you learn from the unexpected. Sure. It all hurts. It sucks so much, like really really bad for some of you, and itβs ok to feel all that, but then youβre gonna get back to your zig. You got this.
π¦Dealing with Feelings
When decisions donβt go your way it can feel pretty shitty, but itβs ok to feel the pain. In fact, the only way to get past the pain is to allow it. In my family, we call it Going on a Bear Hunt. I donβt know if you know the childrenβs chant, but itβs about getting thrown the tall swishy swashy grass and the thick oozy gooey mud and the fast rushing river. To me, those are metaphors for the emotions we have to pass through as we make our way through anger, sadness, and disappointment. My therapist used to call it making it through the train tunnel. Youβve got to let yourself feel those emotions or you get stuck and you need to make your way out. In mindfulness, we use a technique called RAIN.
Recognize your feelings.
Accept and acknowledge that they are there.
Investigate them β what caused them, why are you feeling them
Nonβidentify; know that they are just feelings and feelings come and go.
You are the observer of your feelings, but youβre not your feelings. Think of it like this: You are the sky. Everything else is just the weather. Those feelings -- as horrible as they might be -- are like really bad weather. They will come and go. They are not you.
This is all to say, youβre gonna be ok. Allow yourself to be sad or angry. Sometimes schools make really stupid fucked up decisions and itβs not a reflection on you, but that doesnβt make it easier to swallow right
... keep reading on reddit β‘^ I received my UBC early application interview decision a few minutes ago
edit: idk why I titled this early admission I meant early application, my brain died and defaulted to thinking about US school deadline terminology lol

I applied to UMich early action but I still haven't recieved my admission decision. On the wiki it says that it should come by the 2nd or 3rd Friday of the month. Is this normal? When should I expect to get the decision. I was hoping to get it in December so I would know if I had to apply to any safeties or not.
Hello,
I come from a family which doesn't have mucu education about the education system in the US. What is the point of ED when you could just apply RD?
Thanks.
Round 1 probably. Surprised they sent me an offer this early. I knew I was bound to get in but this early is such a surprise
So for those who are applying to the top schools in the US (HYPSM, other ivies), we know that most early decision/admission results have been released already.
I just want to ask whether there are any Singaporeans who managed to get in during this early round? If so, where? Did you ask for financial aid, and what do you think allowed you to get in?
Hello :)) j2 friends are yall applying for early admissions? especially if ur interested in med/ interview courses! personally im interested in med which doesnt really apply for early apps? but it feels like such a waste to not apply for early admissions now (context i did pretty well in prelims and not sure if iβll do as well in As tbh hahah)
so basically if i apply for eg. pharm sci now, would it affect my application if i want to go for med after results release (if i can lol)? like would it give a βbad impressionβ or anythingπ₯΄π₯΄
hello! iβm a grade 11 student currently, and i had a question regarding early admissions/applying early: i see a lot of people saying itβs best to apply early, but iβm not too confident in my grade 11 marks. would it be best for me if i waited until the point where they would look at grade 12 marks? thank you!
I submitted my application on nov 10th and since it's a rolling admission does this mean I'm rejected?

What the title says. I'm applying to university. The course is an elective.
Hello! I'm a J2 student taking As and I just received an email for early admission for NTU but I'm not sure about how the entire process will work out. Any seniors who has applied for early admission last year please help me out!
Thank you~

So I may have fat fingered the application plan in the common app while submitting it ;-; My misclick now has me down as an Early Admission applicant instead of a Regular Decision. Is there anyway I can change this, and can I do it in the CMU portal?
Any help is much appreciated :)
Which universities(any country, any city around the world) provide early guaranteed admissions to Year 10 students? I am an Australian Permanent Resident and Indian citizen.
Universities in Australia do this thing where Year 11 students can show their academic excellence and achieve a guaranteed place in a program.
I am mainly looking for mechanical engineering programs to join after year 12, it would be beneficial for me if I can secure an early place in a good university soon this year in Year 10.
I would appreciate your help.
Just received my acceptance this morning! This was my absolute dream school for law and I could not be more excited!
Applied binding early admission and will receive half-tuition stipend for 3 yearsπ₯³
Technically an international applicant but with a bachelors degree from the US.
Edit: 170, 3.5, non-URM, business owner, 5+ transcripts from undergraduate institutions, and extracurricular activities from years ago!
Hi, everyone! I am a post-As student who is applying for the Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP) and would like to apply for some scholarships too along with the REP.
May I ask for some personalised advice and tips on this submission? Like writing the admissions essay and such. Also, can someone explain the process after this application? Will I have to go for an interview, if they do select me?
Moreover, just to get a rough gauge of where I stand in this application, may I ask (for those who got admitted into REP and got some scholarships in NTU), what was your prelim rank point?
Please do give tips for the interview too if possible. What sorts of questions do they ask and what do they expect?
Just to get a rough gauge of REP, is it truly a highly prestigious programme? I heard some say it's more elite than medicine or even computer science in NUS, is this true? Also, are there several prospects for those graduating from this programme?
Thank you so much! Your replies will be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, I've just completed my A levels and I began to start thinking if I should accept the invitation to apply for early admission for the few local Unis. If there is any senior who has experienced this, please help :( I am unsure of the benefits of early admission other than securing a place early and apparently I think you have to select the courses that you want to take in uni when you apply? Problem is I still have no idea what I want to take in Uni and I initially wanted to spend my 2 years in NS thinking about it carefully until I receive these invitations for early admission. I feel like it would be quite wasted if I were to miss this opportunity, so I'm feeling quite conflicted. Please advise!!
Hi I'm a J2 taking As this year and I just received an email from NUS in the middle of the night saying I was shortlisted by my school for early admissions, which confused and surprised me like a quite a lot because my prelim grades were pretty mediocre (BBC/DC) and I'm not even in the top 10% of my school which is also one of the lower tier JCs. So I'm just here cause I wanted to reach out to those Uni people who have previously applied for early admissions whether successfully or not or basically anyone who has knowledge on the matter.
I feel like I'm really lucky to be offered an opportunity, but realistically my likelihood of success is low right? Honest opinions?
hi i recently received the nus early admissions email but i have some problems with it now π just yesterday i logged in to continue my application and it was working just fine, but today i was either unable to log in, or it takes sooooo long to load? anybody experienced this before? i emailed nus already but they won't reply until next week so i'm just anxiously sitting here haha
I'm currently applying for the nus early admission but I'm still unsure of the courses to put π€§π€§π€§ like my prelim grades aren't that fantastic + I don't take o lvl physics so theres quite a lot of courses that I don't qualify :") I saw some posts saying that if ur prelim grades don't hit the igp they will look at ur a lvl results but at the same time I'm also not too confident with my results so I find it rlly hard to fill up the 8 choices
also how do I apply for project and facilities management course? there aren't any options for me to select and even if I select engineering, the only available majors are infrastructure and project management + all the other engineering courses
Hello! For context I'm currently waiting for As results and I have applied for SMU Early Admission a while ago (biz). Was looking for some threads explaining about the result process but couldn't find any haha but I have a few questions and hope someone can answer them (:
Hoping to get an offer before As as I'm not entirely confident about my results at all :(
So many people I know who should have gotten in or at least deferred got flat out rejected from their early schools, while people whose ECs weren't nearly as good (like research or those really well known academic competitions like USACO and Regeneron vs starting clubs and Instagram nonprofits) and stats were lower got in. And it's definitely not just because of connections because I know so many people who had legacy, parents as staff, or rec letters from doing research with professors at the college, along great stats and ecs who everyone thought was going to get in who got rejected.
And I know so many people not getting into their safeties when in previous years, almost everyone with similar or lower stats who applied got in (at least according to Naviance). These people are above 50 and 75% for these safeties, like what is going on ?????
Hello! I received the email for nus early admission and scholarship exercise and I have some questions about it. Hope seniors who have gone through can help
I originally posted in College Results but saw way more people panicking here so I wanted to share here as well. I know getting deferred/rejected early sucks, but remember that itβs just one school! Your specific AOs could have been having a bad day or just didnβt like your writing for whatever reason, but every school will read your application differently based on their priorities and even something as fickle as how they feel. Sure, there are some absolute shoe-ins who will get into all their top schools, but the vast majority of accepted students are game-time decisions for top schools where anything can happen. So, if you believe in what you have and the way youβve presented yourself and ideas, trust that and youβll get into somewhere youβre happy with! But also make sure to have safeties that youβd be very happy attending as insurance because admissions are so unpredictable!
I was deferred from Princeton early when I was applying, but ended up being very happy overall with how my regular decision went, so just be patient and believe in yourself! I posted on r/collegeresults for anyone curious about how my admissions played out after my deferral, and I hope it gives you guys hope for the rest of the process. Good luck!!
Hi, everyone! I recently received an email pertaining to the EAE for NTU.
Can I just ask: Are there any seniors here who went through this programme? Can u share ur experiences and opinions here? I would like to hear more about this scholarship before trying for it.
Also, can I ask: is this an offer which I can apply for at first, but let's say after As if I wish to go elsewhere can I refute the offer (even though I have to apply by this dec)
Thank you!
i received the application email a few days ago and i tried to fill in the admission application form they linked in the email but theres an Education section where i need to fill in the subjects i took for alevels as well as my grades... does anyone know what im supposed to fill in, given this scholarship is based on prelim results and application will close before alvl results?
would really appreciate if any seniors could also give their take on this scholarship as well as your experience (?) with it
