One of the most disgusting things a narcissist could do when you are gaining your independence and are VLC/NC with them is when they would feign an illness/death to get your attention. The very idea of being able to keep you on the edge of your seat while they provide you little crumbs of information whether they or a family members health is declining and you don't get the benefit of the full information on a silver platter like any normal functioning human being would provide. You have the option of either sitting there like a helpless infant and wait for them information to come one crumb at a time or you don't give a shit and are done with the nonstop chaos of your nfamily having the 5th illness in the past 3 months.
And if you don't play their game? Too bad. You'll appear as this heartless monster that they get to guilt you for years and years and it will a delightful story to share at christmas time with other relatives of that one time that you, a cold ass hole did not come for so and so hospital time. Because you weren't informed properly or you were and it was under their conditions despite you remaining NC with them for years now.
If it is the narcissist that is having the illness in question, they will make it their god damn best to not do anything about it and will get sick. They will refuse to listen to any health professional advice or would do anything to get better and will endlessly bask in other relatives support or attention. If they did get your concern, you are now a hostage of their poor health and watch them do absolutely nothing to benefit them because why would they? They get their supply in being sick so why would they want to get any better?
So overall in this situation, you just lose and they win. It's their final last resort to gaining any sort of control of the situation as you are gaining your independence and happiness. It's their pathetic last attempt to feel like they are the one in control and that they have fucked you over.
There is nothing off limits for these narcissists. If there is anything that exist in the world that can give them their supply, even if it is the topic of a dying relative or making up an illness of their health, or even actually having an illness, they wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of it with no shame or awareness.

The general gist is that a civilisation becomes so advanced that it uploads its inhabitants' consciousnesses into a simulation in a cube (I think) in deep space. Here they get to live out life in a virtual eternity, but manipulating time (stretching it out), so even the heat death of the universe isn't something they need worry about (too much, at least).

I am an active member of a certain ethnic community in Jacksonville, FL. Because of that, people often ask me for help in many different things. A person came to me with a severe and worrisome case in search for help, because authorities ignored her pleas (Police, DCF, etc).
They want to bring attention to the case, which I will summarize below.
I. A minor of 17 years of age now suffered years of physical, verbal and emotional abuse for years. Recently, because the minor is in a relationship with a black boy (19 years old), things escalated to death threats. The mother's words were “If you do anything and I get deported, I will come back through the Mexican Border and kill you”. She also put a knife to the girl's neck and told me she is “the little whore” that she would kill.
II. The Mother has a history of abuse. Because she is abusive, her US citizen husband left her in a couple of months. In order to remove the conditions of the green card, she concatenated a lie described by her own daughter as follows:
