In Rogue One, the final assembly phase of the Death Star was in effect, finishing by the end of the movie. In A New Hope we have the first real test of the power of the station. Since the Death Star is so new, how did some kind of aquatic monster end up in the trash compactor to attack Luke?

The first Death Star has Turbolasers, Laser cannons, Tractor beams, and Ion cannons as it's defences. With a diameter of 120 kilometers. The first Death Star is depicted in various sources of having 1,206,293 crews and troops, 2 officers, as well as 40,000 gunners, 25,984 stormtroopers and 180,216 TIE fighter pilots and support crew.
How many space Marines (at minimum) would it take to kill the crew, destroy the station from the inside, or claim the vessel for themselves?
I'm on the beliefs a small team would easily be defeated. While the full brunt of battlefield gothic is overkill.

He sneaks on board from a ship and then reveals himself to everyone. He begins a rampage through the Death Star starting at the entrance and working his way through. There are around a million people on the station according to the official Star Wars wiki, with many of them being Stormtroopers or trained combatants. Darth Vader himself is there as well (I believe he can use the force to protect his suit and lightsaber from Magneto’s powers) Will they be able to get their shit together and stop Magneto, or will he completely tear this place apart and kill everyone?

They try to make it seem like no one is paying attention to us, all while constantly writing articles about us. Even tho the article was technically about Ken Griffin VS Goldman Sachs, they sure did focus primarily on us apes, and how "it's not really about us". What a fucking absolute joke! This article was a clear message to us. I really feel like we're in a movie right now. Citadel and Ken Griffin are getting ready to test fire their new "weapon of mass destruction". I expect to see the results from this weapon affect our favorite stock, and not in a good way... However, just like in the movie, they only got to use their weapon once, before it was ultimately destroyed because of one small flaw that was exploited by a rag tag team of rebels on a suicide mission...
Just keep doing what we're doing apes. We're bound to hit that small exhaust port sooner or later, and blow this bitch up!
