I have seen the alt right grow and metastasise in this country over the last decade but it has really accelerated in the last five years. Even the mass murder in the mosque hasn't really woken the country up to this infection. We know that the Brexit crew set up shop here in the last election to help NZF (link below) and now we know that Bannon has set up shop here. Right wing money from all over the world is now being spent here to fan these flames and too many people are downplaying significance of all this.
Look at what is happening in the rest of the world, that's where we are headed unless we take this seriously and act. I have seen the posts that seek to minimise these protests and paint them as cute or harmless or inept but the movement is growing fast and getting stronger. Look at how much it's grown in the last year alone.

Okay, this probably sounds very trivial and y'all may bash me for being a grumpy kid.
Basically, since the start of the pandemic, my social life has been reduced to nonexistence and I liked to call my family to fill the void. I was living abroad for my study alone and life was hard. I lived in a student dorm where most of my roomies had gone to live with their families since the study mode changed to online.
There was this day I called my Mom and I complained how boring my day was, to which she immediately replied that lockdown wasn't a thing in my home country and that my sister could go to a tropical island for a vacation with his husband. I was immediately taken aback, and yes, I'm a sensitive person if not a hyper-sensitive one. After we ended the call, I couldn't sit right with my emotion and I texted her, telling her how tone-deaf her response was. Of course, she said, I was too sensitive. I couldn't help but also thought how selfish it was of my sister to go on a vacation from one villa to another, when the outbreak was still on also how she sent her vacation photos to my mother, without EVER taking any of her family (my mother and her siblings) to a vacation. I know my emotions were all over the place, and just that remark from my mother triggered a chain of thoughts of how ironic that my sister could travel anywhere she wanted and spent days in premium hotels and hours on planes when her youngest sister (my younger sister too) never been on a plane or a hotel. The same goes for my mother.
But of course, I didn't convey that thought as well to my mother, else it would start a war in my family.
I'm suddenly reminded of this event when (again) my sister called my mother telling her she's about to go on a holiday again to this best tropical resort in the world and her mother-in-law will tag along. I don't know if my mother has a blinded heart, but I find it a bit unfair that she only receives the picture of her kids and inlaws having spas and massages all the time.
Someone created an absolute shit dog coin called hosky. There’s a faucet at hosky.io that spits out random amounts between 5m and 500m. It can’t be purchased or traded anywhere at the moment. the discord is going crazy, their Twitter is hilarious, and there’s over 83k holders as I write this. The faucet demand is so high that they keep halving the payout amounts and the queue is backlogged. I can almost guarantee this will find its way onto a dex some day. The devs are either the smartest marketers in the world or the holders are just idiots pissing away .5 ada at a time. Anyone else watching this one unfold?

Intro (skip this if you want, it’s not important to solve the issue):
Living in a medium sized town in Sweden, finding second hand electronics (especially video game consoles) is really hard. The PS Vita didn’t sell well in Sweden, so there are basically none of them available, and those who are available are put up for fixed prices at 170 USD, with most of them being put up for bidding causing even higher prices. As a broke college student, I’ve been looking to buy a PS Vita for about 3 years, but I’ve always had bad luck. Whenever I contact a seller it’s either a) the console has already been sold, or b) someone else is interested who lives close, so they’d rather sell it to them. Last week, however, I found a reputable seller from Sweden that had a PS Vita 1000 for sale. Sure, it was pretty scratched up, but he said that it was working fine. So, for around 82 USD I pulled the trigger and went ahead and bought it! Every button, including the touch screen and the rear touchpad, was working flawlessly. So, I got my hopes up high. Then, when I went ahead and tried to play Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified, it was spinning to the left on its own. I contacted the seller, but he’s ghosting me and won’t reply. Now I’m stuck with a Vita with a faulty right stick and very little money saved for leisures like video games, so buying a replacement stick for 30+ USD seems out of the question. I’m therefore asking the kind people of Reddit that are experienced with the PS Vita to help me troubleshoot and solve my issue. :)
The issue:
Vertical movement works perfectly fine. However, any horizontal movement isn’t registered. Instead, all that it does is being stuck in a left tilt position, causing you to spin around in FPS games and having you aim constantly to the left in twin stick top down shooters.
What I’ve tried to thus far:
- I used electric contact spray and canned air to try and clean the contact points. I followed this video. And, the problem still persists, but the vertical movement is much more responsive and improved.
- I tried the “calibration method” (which essentially is true for every single console with an analogue stick) which involves turning the console off and slowly rotating the stick clockwise and counterclockwise. This didn’t help me out at all.
