A list of puns related to "De Bathe baronets"
After I graduated from college, my parents bought me a fairly sized apartment as a gift. Since I had some extra space and didn't mind any extra cash, I decided to find a roommate.
My rommate is a friend from high school (28f) and she has a son (6). They have been renting for the past 4 years.
She goes out 2-3 times a month and asks me to babysit since the regular babysitter, that comes 6 days a week, doesn't work on Sunday. It isn't a big deal for me since I just order some food and we watch TV or I just let him play video games.
So far there weren't any issues until last Sunday. After the dinner, we watched TV and then I turned on Xbox for him so I could answer some emails. While I was typing, he comes to me, and before he could say it, the stench hit me. He had an accident. I had to get up and move from him because I was getting sick. I told him to sit and tried calling his mom, who didn't answer.
I messaged her saying that her son had an accident and to get back asap. She wrote me to: "Just run him a bath and change his clothes". I answered: " No, I can't do that, please hurry". She didn't respond so I just thought that she was on her way, so I told the kid to wait for his mom in their room.
An hour and a half later, she finally returned and asked me if I figured it out. I told her no and that I wrote her that I can't do it. She just stormed off to her room. A bit later, she walked up to me upset and said: "Are you fu*king kidding me, you really let him sit like this all this time? Come on, fu*king a**hole, what was the problem?"
I just apologized and once again told her that I just couldn't get myself to do it, after which she went back to her room. I've never in my life changed or bathed a child and I couldn't stand the smell. I think that I would probably be able to do it if he had just wet himself, but dunno honestly.
My buddy laughed at me and called me a little b**ch after I told him this.
EDIT: Thanks for all the comments, and advices! I can see that I messed up big time. I did talk to the roommate on Monday and we both apologized. She said that it's her fault for not "teaching" me and showed me where his clothes are. Some suggested to apologize to the kid as well, so I will be going shopping later and will get him something nice.
She's my deodoraunt.
Let me know if there's a better sub for this!
My cat is getting up in years, so she isn't bathing as much. We also had to switch her to wet food, and it stinks to high heaven. She smells very strongly like the food now. She's easily stressed and gets violent LOL so I don't want to actually put her in water to bathe her; I tried wiping her with a damp washcloth today (warm water, no soap) and she was fine with it with no objections (this is rare) but it didn't do much for the smell.
If nothing can be done, that's fine, I'd rather she be happy and stinky than miserable. Although I can't help but think cats are happier when they're clean!
An odor brother
Hi dads, I was just on /r/Mommit and saw a post about bathing. I was incredibly shocked to find that 80% bathe their kids 1-2 times a week! What? Is this really the norm? These are people with 2-5 year olds, play outside , go to school, etc.
Not sure if itβs a culture thing (weβre Chinese), but we have bathed our kids daily ever since they can crawl, and theyβre not even in day care. The floors are dirty even if theyβre cleaned weekly. If we ever take the kids out (I.e a park, or walk trails), we bathe them the second we get home.
People are saying βwe donβt bathe them unless theyβre dirtyβ even if they play outside or some are in school. Whatβs considered dirty? Like rolling in mud? Jumping into the garbage bin?
I mentioned culture earlier because we also do not wear shoes indoors. We donβt sit / lay in bed with any outdoor clothes (we see this often growing up and in American show). Are we the weird ones?
I was bathing her every day but she started getting rashy all over. When I reduced the frequency her skin cleared up so I think her sensitive skin just doesn't do well getting stripped daily. I now bathe her every third day in an oatmeal bath with baking soda (for diaper rash) and a bit of organic baby oil (for moisture). How long to you go between baths with your LO? Sometimes I want to stretch it even further than 3 days cause she's not really dirty. I spot clean her whenever she spits up and her diaper is always cleaned. She's 3 months old.
EDIT Thank you everyone for all your replies! This has all really helped!!
Iβm not sure if anyone else has this problem but my sims get uncomfortable at the pool in Windenburg due to poor decoration. Is there something on the lot causing this or is it a bug?
I wanna make my dogs smell like I always bring them to the groomers. I have bought shampoo and conditioner for dogs and even have a perfume (with no alcohol) for them but after I blow dry them the smell fades (?).
Any tips? Tyia!
Features strong performances from Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Tom Hiddleston.
The movie wasnβt a big hit in cinemas, but is a lovely over-the-top gothic romance if thatβs your cup of tea. (More tea?)
