A list of puns related to "David Hawkins"
Videos seemingly magically appear to me when traveling to cosmos of psychs, yesterday in one such travel i came across some of his videos, and today when back on Earth, came across some of his books. Im going to read into them, mainly the one in the heading.
I havent heard his name mentioned much, I'm wondering if anyone read his works and have thoughts? He seems to be into non-dualism, and his ideas on consciousness and its measuring in numbers, energy, and actual states of being seem to be interesting non the less.
Thoughts?
If you dont know who who he is, maybe check him out and weigh in.
Peace and love.
It seems that whenever I do this, I come out with heavier emotions than when I started and overall feel worse. Is this normal? Will it go away? I'm afraid I will spiral myself into a dark hole if I keep doing it.
β’ βThe βsmallβ part of ourselves is attached to the familiar, no matter how painful or inefficient it is. It may seem bizarre, but our self with a small βsβ actually enjoys an impoverished life and all the negativity that goes with it: feeling unworthy, being invalidated, judging others and ourselves, being inflated, always βwinningβ and being βrightβ, grieving the past, fearing the future, nursing our wounds, craving assurance, and seeking love instead of giving it.β
β’ βWe are all connected at the energetic level, and a higher vibration (such as love) has a powerful effect on a lower vibration (such as fear).β
β’ βBecause we are all part of the whole, when we heal something in ourselves, we heal it for the world. Each individual consciousness is connected to the collective consciousness at the energetic level; therefore, personal healing emerges collective healing.β
β’ β[As negative feelings are surrendered] there is less and less dependence on intellectualism and a greater use of intuitive knowingness.β
β’ βOf great importance is the progressive diminution of dependency, the bane of all human relationships.β
β’ β[Letting go] is employing the basic teaching of the Buddha, which removes the pressure of involuntary reactivity.β
β’ βWe are resigned to [suffering] and explain it away as the βhuman condition.ββ
β’ β[Projection] accounts for all wars, strife, and civil disorder. Hating the enemy is even encouraged in order to become a βgood citizen.β We maintain our own self-esteem at the expense of others, and eventually, this results in social breakdown. The mechanism of projection underlies all attack, violence, aggression, and every form of social destruction.β
β’ βA far better alternative is to take responsibility for our own feelings and neutralize them. Then, only positive feelings remain to be expressed.β
β’ βWhat is the external cause of stress? Certainly it is not the external precipitating factors. They are merely examples of the mechanism described as projection. It is βtheyβ or βitβ that is thought to be the culprit when, in fact, what we are feeling is merely the letting out of the inner pressure of repressed emotions.β
β’ βWhat we are holding inside colors our world.β
β’ βWe focus on what we have repressed.β
β’ βLove focuses on the essence of a situation, not the details.β
β’ βTo be surrendered means to have no strong emotion about a thing: βItβs okay if it happens, and itβs okay if it doesnβt.β When we are free, there is a letting go of att

Hi there,
I've listened to many, many spiritual gurus and I think most of them are not the real deal. But David Hawkins really spoke to me. I don't really buy into his kinesiology stuff, but besides that, he's absolutely amazing.
Is here anyone who is familiar with David Hawkins's work and resonated with him? If yes, please, please, let me know who else do you think is worth paying attention to.
Cheers :)
While I think concepts, techniques and language are ultimately limiting in the process of discovering the true-self, I am not a point where I can throw off the shackles of worldly ideas. I personally find it helpful to draw parallels between things that have resonated with me during the journey of actualization. In this case, I have just finished reading David Hawkins' "Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender" and it struck a chord with me. The book is about the process of moving to higher levels of consciousness through the process of letting go of negative emotions.
Dr. Hawkins created a scale of 0 to 1000 (debatable as how useful this type of thing is) where 0 is the lowest level of consciousness (equates to the emotion of shame) and 1000 is the highest (equates to enlightenment. Christ or buddha levels of conscious states). The scale can be found here:

I have only just begun using the gateway tapes and have so far found that they have opened my consciousness to a degree. I am wondering if anyone else with familiar with Hawkins and an experienced user of the gateway tapes/process and whether they find parallels between the two. Do you find yourself moving up (or down) the scale of consciousness through the use of the techniques in the tapes? Are they similar conceptually?
If anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear.
We admitted we were powerless over the ego, that our lives had become unmanageable.
We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over the care of God as we understood him.
We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrong.
We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
We humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
Make direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

So I've watched various videos on the sedona method on youtube and also read the book Letting Go by David R Hawkins about the technique of letting go of negative emotions. From what I gather, the technique is the following:
My question is around step 4. For me, this seems to be some sort of resistance because you are wanting a feeling to go away. So how do I completely allow the feeling without resistance, but at the same time want to let it go? It seems contradictory. When answering the questions, "Would you let it go, Could you let it go, and When?" for me the answers are obvious, YES I want to let this go otherwise I wouldn't be doing this. I don't understand the purpose of these questions. Are they to be answered from a feeling perspective? Again, this comes off as resistance aka I don't want these feelings which goes against full acceptance of what is. Any ideas?
It seems that whenever I do this, I come out with heavier emotions than when I started and overall feel worse. Is this normal? Will it go away? I'm afraid I will spiral myself into a dark hole if I keep doing it.
I have a hard time βfeelingβ emotion in my body. I feel like as soon as I try to focus on it it goes away or I wonder if itβs not actually there.
It leads to an overall feeling of wondering if Iβm doing it right.
