A list of puns related to "Davao Death Squad"
I came across this conversation of a duterte fan and a relative of a victim of DDS for mistaken identity. http://imgur.com/Ghd6V1i http://imgur.com/JfZ9NgD http://imgur.com/SsVapnu
What do you say? Will his administration be safer or not?
So there were self-confessed Davao Death Squad members who confessed in 2009 according to an article by Rappler (http://www.rappler.com/newsbreak/in-depth/165080-lascanas-matobato-2009-witnesses-davao-death-squad). Didn't hear it then, or maybe it's because I was a still a teenager. Anyone who remembers these being picked up by the news back then?
Why isn't that talked about more? Regardless of whether Duterte is directly involved or not, he clearly either does not want to stop it because he approves or is unable to stop it which means he doesn't have Davao under control after all.
And Duterte's supporters, do they accept it because they think the people liquidated deserve it or are they just in denial?
Particularly baffled by people vehemently opposing same-sex marriage and forever quoting their bibles and then ignoring that pesky commandment about not killing.
Also don't understand the "never again to Marcos" people supporting Duterte. As mayor, he has to make do with vigilantes; but as president, he would have the military and the police at his disposal. And while he may only be going after alleged criminals now, is there a line this man will not cross?
This is an automatic summary, original reduced by 78%.
> MANILA - A cop who was earlier tagged by a Senate resource person as the team leader of the Davao Death Squad admitted Monday the existence of the group, saying former mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the killings.
> Self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato had tagged Lascañas, who then denied the existence of the death squad and called Matobato a liar.
> He said the DDS left a note that said: "Wag pamarisan - Davao Death Squad.".
> Lascañas also claimed Duterte ordered the bombing of a mosque in Camamara Wa-An Davao City.
> Lascañas also accused Duterte of hiring people to kill Jun Pala, a Davao journalist widely known for his work on exposing corruption of local politicians.
> Lascañas is the second person to claim about the existence of the Davao Death Squad. The DDS is widely believed as being behind the killings of a number of people in Davao City.
